The fact that they have rejected offers of a state several times in the past, and the implications of that fact, don’t matter to Cameron in the least.

LONDON — The U.K. is considering a push to recognize a Palestinian state at the United Nations, Foreign Secretary David Cameron said, as he tries to sell a plan aimed at ending the war in Gaza.

The former prime minister — drafted into the foreign affairs brief by his boss Rishi Sunak last year — said the move could bring about “irreversible progress to a two-state solution.”

“We should be starting to set out what a Palestinian state would look like – what it would comprise, how it would work,” he said in remarks to the Conservative Middle East Council in the House of Commons on Monday night.

“As that happens, we, with allies, will look at the issue of recognizing a Palestinian state, including at the United Nations,” he added. “This could be one of the things that helps to make this process irreversible.”…

  1. A Palestinian state would look like Gaza in a few years time. Lots of tunnels missiles and killers. Eventually it will look like Gaza today, DESTROYED!

    • Someone should drop David Cameron on his head. It might awaken totally absent intellect. Naturally these imbeciles envisage taking land from Israel. I, meanwhile, envisage a Palestinian state in the middle of the Sahara Desert.
      Just remember this, when the Camerons of the world were busily destroying white rule in Africa, none considered the disastrous results or did anything when Tanzania collapsed into existing on foreign aid, Zimbabwe went from the ‘Breadbasket of Africa’ to a starving basket case, Mozambique failed utterly, and South Africa became the crime-ridden and corrupt mess it now is. Nothing that David Cameron and his ilk “envisage”: should be taken serious because when what they “envisaged” fails, they will be nowhere to be seen.

  2. No, thank you Britain! You’ve done enough damage in Asia the last century – both in the Sub-Continent and in the Holy Land. In fact, the less involved you are in other countries, the better!

    I’d like to see Scotland and Wales rewarded w/ independent states of their own (this does not include an endorsement of open muslim immigration as promoted by SNP or Plaid Cymru), and England becoming England again

      • Or for that matter, in the subcontinent in the 19th century, when the Russians were busy dismantling the jihadist kingdoms of Turkistan, which had launched 5 separate jihad invasions of the Indian subcontinent. There would have been no Pakistan (nor Bangladesh) had they stayed out of it! Punjab would have been a Sikh kingdom & the rest of India would have ended up Maratha Hindu, sooner or later

      As soon as Cameron somehow managed to slip back into a position of power in the UK Govt, after Suella Braveman & others were starting to shed light on the immigration/migration madness & the problems of multicultural faliures (islam), the writing was on the wall.
      Now that power hungry globalist & open border protaganist Cameron has been let loose again, he has been flying around the world plotting against the best interests of Britain as a nation as we once knew it & doesn’t even hide his intentions in that regard.
      We should also note that Blair is doing the rounds worldwide again too.
      They are both evil sharks who are now circling the waters, as they smell blood.

      Labour is no better as a party either as we know.
      The UK is in great danger & I don’t see a viable political escape at present, unless something radical happens quickly.

  4. What a load of bollocks. What planet are you living on Mr Cameron because it certainly isn’t planet earth. A Palestinian state has already been tried and tested and it doesn’t work. What the hell do you think Gaza is, if you don’t know then I will tell you. It is an independent self governing Palestinian state.
    The problem is the western world is now led by incompetent fools, such fools as Joe Biden. We really are in dire straits and I believe we really are heading for ww111. I don’t want to sound like a doomsday monger, but my advice to all of you is, stock up with food because I really believe a global famine is just around the corner.
    P.S. I hope I’m wrong, and by the way, I have been wrong before.

    • Not to mention, the Brits should have bloody well (no pun intended) stayed neutral in World War One, because they could have lived with a German victory.

      Moreover, the German Army would probably have squashed Bolshevism in Russia, and prevented the widespread diffusion of Communism/Marxism around the world (though not completely).

      • Mike, the demand that Britain should have been fine with Germany seizing Austria, Czechia, Belgium, and France and a large chunk of Italy is questionable.

        Then, it was pre-Soviet Russia that was allied against Germany. The nascient Soviet Union signed a peace with Germany in 1918. There is no indication that Germany would have gone on to destroy the Soviet Union.

        • Gravenimage: I was referring to the Great War of 1914-1918. Britain should have kept out of it and declared neutrality.

          If Kaiser Wilhelm had been victorious, and had Britain later come into conflict with the Germans over something, then a much stronger Britain could have handled it on their own terms.

  9. They would still be causing trouble even if they got their own state. Hamas is an ideology. Israel are right in trying to eliminate it but will never unfortunately succeed, so long as there are hamas followers there will a!ways be bloodshed and murders.

    • Christine: there’s no question that Britain was super heroic in World War 2. However, if the Germans had not lost World War 1 and been subjected to the unbalanced Versailles Treaty, then it’s probable that there would have been no Hitler, Mussolini or Stalin as we know them.

  12. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. The west needs to stop thinking that its core values are in line with radical Islam.

    You see, in the civilized world, we have some core beliefs. For example, if you treat someone with respect and dignity, they will reciprocate.

    The thing is, radical Islam does not share that value.

    You can treat a radical Islamist with all the dignity in the world but you’re still an infidel and they want you dead, irrelevant of how you treat them.

    The west needs to understand that radical Islam’s war is not about land, human rights, or anything else other than a religious ideological war on everything we believe in.

    We like to give them fancy names like Hamas, Hezbolloh, Houthis, ISIS, Islamic Jihad, etc.

    You can call them whatever you want, it’s all the same garbage. You can march for them day and night, but don’t kid yourself to think that if they have a chance to bring October 7th to a theater near you, that they’d hesitate for a second. They wouldn’t, and if Israel doesn’t defeat Hamas in this war, they won’t! The west is next!

    The thing is, it’s not politically correct to say it, but radical Islam is a global plague. This isn’t about Israel. This isn’t about land. This isn’t about a state. This is about dead Jews and the defeat of the west.

    Another example, which took me years to internalize, is that, in the west, we have morals. We have ethics. We have red lines that we would never cross. There are some things that are NEVER ok.

    That is not the case for radical Islam. It’s time we internalize this. For them, rape is ok. Pedophilia is ok. Mutilating bodies is ok. Burning families is ok. Decapitating babies is ok. They have NO red lines.

    The most tragic part of it all is the indoctrination of children who are taught to murder infidels from age zero.

    You cannot make peace with an ideology that believes you do not have a right to exist.

    It’s really time the west understands that taking their values and applying them to the world of radical Islam is both ridiculous and dangerous.

    Just like no moral person thought that making peace with the Nazis was a good idea… Just like everyone understood that Germany had to be denazified, even if it entailed many innocent lives lost, the same is true for societies run by radical
    Islam. There is no fixing them. It’s ingrained from before they can talk…

    It’s time we stopped speaking our language and started speaking theirs.

    That is the only way we can effectively battle the plague of radical Islam that is slowly destroying us from the inside.

  13. The United Kingdom officials by considering to recognize as genuine that man- made friction of a “Palestine state” is considering endorsing a policy of terrible folly and even disaster.

    For Hamas had proven not only the its words but ,more terrible murderous actions, starting on October 7th, that it wants to completely destroy the State of Israel and even commit genocide worldwide on the Jewish people.

    As observed when that jihad murder entity, Hamas started in this current war it started on 7th of October 2023. The so called “two state solution” is not really a valid idea and not a genuine solution. It will definitely not stop this awful Israeli –Muslim land conflict.

    A “two state solution” is out of the question. .This is because a “two state solution” not really a “solution” but an Islamic ploy of deception , a smokescreen and hoax and a fraud.

    As observed early October7th with those Hamas Islamic terror/murder attacks into Israel from Gaza reveals that even the idea of some people of dividing Jerusalem as well as other parts of the State of Israel between the Jewish people of the Muslim/ Arabs is nothing but folly. To engage the madness of such “talks” is a hoax and a farce .This is because in the so called “negotiations” between the heads of the Jewish nation of Israel and the leaders of the “Palestinians” the Muslim /Arabs the “Palestinian” leaders will speak the truth only when in happens to fit their agenda. The rest of the time the will be speaking half-truths and outright lies. For their goal is to obtain all of the land of the State of Israel. Even in it takes much time and it means getting the land piece by piece. Therefore, those “peace talks” are a hoax.

    For the “Palestinian” leaders are employing what is the Islamic doctrine of Taqiyya . Which is the Islamic dogma that lying and deception are good things to do as long as it’s done for the cause of the advancement of Islam. The insidious scheme is part of the stealth jihad .Otherwise known as “Islamic Gradualism.” This sly and something subtle strategy of disingenuous speech, lying deception of achieving the goal of all the land of Israel a war ploy that will be a disaster if the heads of the State of Israel are foolish enough to agree to divide the land of Israel with Muslim /Arabs ,the “Palestinians.” For if such a “peace dialogue” results in a divided land, the outcome will literally be murder. For “Palestinian” leader will allow the jihadists use that land as a base to launch murderous rocket attacks in to Israel. As for example, Hamas of Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon.

    Such false hopes for peace which are based on the foundation of lies are nothing new when it comes to Israel. For example, the Bible in Psalm 55:20, 21. Reads “Such men do violence to those at peace with them and break their promised word; their speech is smoother the butter but their thoughts are of war.” [N.E.B.]

  16. There are four Palestinian states, Hamastan, the Palestinian Authority controlled areas, Jordan and Israel. You can read about that in an article called the Four State Solution by Gamaliel Isaac that appeared in the American Thinker. Actually there are more. Muslims are creating ministates within European states and because of their explosive population growth and Europes suicidal immigration policies will soon take over if they haven’t already. In England for example google Tower Hamlets and the picture you will see will be of minarets and you’ll find that it has the highest percentage of Muslims of all of England and that it is the most dangerous city in all of England.

  17. Until the root cause of the problem is recognized and dealt with – the Hamas murderers and the Palestinian Authority murderers – NOTHING will work. Both of the terrorist and criminal organizations will NOT drop the total destruction of Israel from their charters. No free elections have been held for a LONG time, both are essentially dictatorships with no accountability. BILLIONS of dollars of aid have poured into the PA and Gaza and practically all of it has been misdirected. Biden is considering it – but where does Old Plugs et the authority to do that? Nowhere.
