During this interview Jamie Glazov did bring up the subject of Fatma with the “signs of wonders” that are part of the Fatma story.
As a Protestant I feel compelled to mentions two important aspect of the “history” of those signs of Fatma . to give some balance on that subject .
First, Jesus did speak in in negative ways about the character who seek after “signs.” Matthew 15:4. As “harsh ” as those words spoken in that verse appear to be. it stands that the faith of the Christian is should be placed on the scripture that is the Word of God, Second Timothy 3:16 and not on “signs” In other words the Bible alone should be sufficient and “signs” aren’t necessary.
Second, On the subject of a person being so foolish as to have a totally blind, unquestioning faith is something may be nothing in the end but the folly using not logic and reason but feeling and emotion to uses as foundation for a person’s firm but naïve faith .This may result a deception of someone by false teaching and false doctrines. As for example, the unquestioning strong faith that many people have about the “visions and miracles” which occurred at Fatima.
There’s an alternative explanation for the events one hundred year ago concerning those with their “visions” at Fatima. Those two children and their “visions” they had at Fatima might the same kind of “visions” as that had been seen by Joan of Arc. This is that they may have eaten rye bread that contains the fungus Ergot. The toxin ergot has the effect of creating hallucinations in the minds of young people About the “miracle” story of the cure of a person which some connect to the “religious visions” of the girls at Fatima at that specific time. This might just be a coincidence of the “visions” and the healing. As in it’s important not to make a false connection between two separate events. This is the logic of not to confusing an effect with an unconnected cause.
After all, The Bible does teach in Proverbs 15: 15 “A simple man believes every word he hears; a clever man understands the need of proof.” [NEB].
