After the walk to the Church of Presidents after BLM attacked the White House and terrorized Washington D.C., Gen. Milley and his people took stock of the political outrage, realized which way the wind was blowing and, as they say in military circles, strategically redeployed himself the other way.
Milley had been bad beforehand, opposing an insurrection declaration that could have helped turn everything that happened in 2020 around, but this marked a major turning point, and this is why Gen. Milley did it. Like most top-level brass, his real career isn’t in the military, it begins afterward.
JPMorgan Chase & Co. brought on retired General Mark Milley, former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, as a senior adviser.
Milley, who spent more than four decades in the US military, will advise the bank’s board of directors, senior leaders and clients on dangers around the world, Chief Executive Officer Jamie Dimon told employees in a memo Thursday.
“His guidance will enable us to better anticipate and navigate geopolitical issues — and other risks and opportunities — that could impact our business and the communities we serve,” Dimon wrote.
Yes, if Milley has a track record of anything, it’s seeing what’s coming next. Next up, Princeton.
Milley joins Georgetown, beginning this semester, as a distinguished fellow in residence with the Security Studies Program in the School of Foreign Service.
Georgetown said Milley will “mentor and engage with students, work closely with program faculty, and offer his insights in events with members of the broader Georgetown community.”
Joel Hellman, dean of the School of Foreign Service, said Milley’s “lifetime commitment to service in the interest of our nation’s security will surely inspire our students and enrich our community.”
There’ll be board memberships, consulting gigs and perhaps his own firm. Now the money can start rolling in.

Great question, SC. Take a look at 5 Star Gen. Eisenhower’s picture in Wikipedia…he had a grand total of about a half dozen medals, whereas Milley likely needs a wheelbarrow to carry all of his. Yet another example of inflation in our society!!

He certainly has a lot of medals on his uniform. How and in what war did he earn them? Vietnam? Maybe he did perform services for the American military but it hasn’t been recently. His amazing admission that he would unilaterally call his Chinese counterpart to warn him of military possibilities unfavorably to China ( during Trump’s Presidency) sounds like outright treason to me. And any high military official who did not resign when Kabul was chosen over Bagram Airbase for the Afghanistan evacuation shows his “Yes man” character instead of a calling to the United States of America first and foremost. But of course such independence and bravery would jeopardize his career after leaving the Military. No sense in doing that, right?

This is the problem with professional politicians/bureaucrats. They never really retire. Milkme is no different than the rest of the grifter class. They “retire” not to play golf or go to Branson but to enrich themselves with really do nothing jobs that pay a lot.

During the eras of war, the way to get promoted was to distinguish oneself in battle, be it either individual valor or strategic brilliance in planning. Now, after essentially 20 years of peace, that’s no longer an option

I wonder how deeply JP Morgan is invested in China and how many large donations are received by Princeton from China. Seeing that Milley would go behind his boss the President of the United States back and give the Chinese a “heads up” if the then President Trump made a move against them. If he lost faith in his boss he could have retired then complain publicly his opinion ,instead he chose to be a traitor to his oath ,his boss (the then President Trump) and the American people, people have been publicly executer after a trial in the past for acts like his. .Instead he is a “hero” by the MSM for his underhanded actions and rewarded with jobs by minions of the Chinese in my humble opinion. Does his interest in a “security” of America interest that is hired to teach , or is it how to break your oath to further your own interest of making money ,being in the public spot light ,and becoming a media darling? The Afghanistan debacle under his new boss Biden is just the icing on the cake(he could have spoken up privately to Biden his fears or retired in protest before Biden pulled the plug on Afghanistan ),I am sure he will go on talking tours and be seen in the future on MSM giving advice on how American military should be run .
