This is a video of a container the ship X-Press Pearl which blew up with a chemical fire off the coast of Sri Lanka 20 May 2021. a chemical fire on the cargo ship caused the explosion. The ship was carrying 1,486 containers containing 25 tons of nitric acid, caustic soda, and other cargo. The fire lasted two weeks and eventually destroyed most of the ship’s cargo. The ship sank on June 2, 2021, a few kilometers off the western coast of Sri Lanka.

Even though the video was labeled 2021, there was no legitimate reason to include it in the feature article.
A “casual reader” may draw the wrong conclusion.

Look at the Community Note under that photo, which states that it’s from 2021. Not that it implies that the Houthis are now more benign than they were then, but that we’d probably need a new provocation to escalate this war
As far as US goes, there’s no reason any of our shipping needs to be in the Red Sea. If we’re shipping to Asian countries, we can do trans-Pacific and then Indian Ocean, and if to Africa or Europe, trans-Atlantic. We don’t need to ship anything or get anything from countries within the Red Sea or the Arabian Gulf, and the countries that do – they should be the ones getting their navies involved
Incidentally, the Houthis are doing this to hurt Israel, which gets next to none of its products via the Red Sea. They either get it by air from Asia or by the Mediterranean from either Europe or the Americas. Eilat’s main business is tourism: it’s not a major shipping hub like Tel Aviv

so the photo is not a “fake,” but it is not of the current event, for which a photo was not available.

In the recent past, iran published *photos* of what they said they had done/will do to American ships. Blowing them up, bombing them out of the water. And this site, if I’m in correct recall, covered some of that, showing how much iran intends to do to America.
the faked photos were propaganda. But, iran wants war because they believe they will be the winner and will establish their so-called cali phate. iran is using hamas, hezbollah, the houthis, to kill, to destroy, their enemies in the belief that this will lead to them being on top…ruling the world according to the evil book of demon filth.
