Naomi Ragen, an Israeli writer, has been posting online a “Gaza War Diary.” A recent installment describes the hardening of Israeli attitudes toward Gazan “civilians,” beginning with those who joined Hamas operatives, and took part enthusiastically in the rapes, tortures, mutilations, and beheadings of Israeli men, women, and children on October 7. These “civilians” who entered Israel in the wake of Hamas also managed to kidnap some Israelis, whom they are presumed to be holding inside Gaza, where those kidnapped are likely being used as sex slaves, or simply as slaves, by these “civilians.” Freed hostages have testified as to how they were spat on and beaten by these “ordinary Gazans” when they were first paraded around Gaza by their Hamas captors. And the “civilians” in Gaza have, according to opinion polls, overwhelmingly approved of the atrocities committed on October 7. Thus, like Naomi Ragen, most Israelis, including those once in the “peace camp,” have come to realize that many of those so-called “innocent civilians” in Gaza not only supported, and still support, the atrocities committed by Hamas operatives, but also that some participated in those atrocities themselves. More from Naomi Ragen on the changes in Israeli public opinion can be found here:
An article written by Dr. Michael Milstein and published today on Ynet English gives an in-depth analysis of how Israeli sympathy for the “poor Gazans” has taken an irreversible 180 degree turn. While before October 7, many Israelis and their political leaders believed that “the majority of Palestinians in Gaza are different from Hamas, which controls them through fear and oppression, and share a universal human longing for a good life…” leading to the “assumption that by improving their situation it would be possible to ensure security, stability and even bend the ideological fervor of Hamas.”
These beliefs were shattered on October 7. “Not only did the Gazan public not protest against Hamas following the attack, but thousands took an active part – publicly and without fear – in the massacres, kidnappings, rapes and lootings, including the theft of bodies as a sort of ‘appreciating asset,’ and of course participated in the victory celebrations that included abuse of the kidnapped and the bodies.”
Released hostages have added to this picture with their experiences at being tortured by women and children while held prisoner. Moreover, the discoveries made by IDF soldiers of the widespread weaponry, tunnel entrances, and hate material found in the average Gazan home, have been a factor in enlightening even the most resistant to reality.
Recently, the head of a soldier decapitated on October 7 was found by the IDF in a refrigerator in Gaza. According to the testimony of a Hamas prisoner, the head had been offered by Gazans for sale for $10,000. The IDF returned it to Israel for burial.
Think about that head of a decapitated soldier put up for sale by Hamas for $10,000. There are no limits to the barbarism of Hamas — or was that head being kept for sale by an “ordinary civilian”?
The Israel Democracy Institute found in a survey conducted last month, that 40% of Israelis believed that the harm to the population in Gaza should have a limited bearing on Israel’s decisions and a similar percentage say it should have no bearing at all. Palestinian surveys conducted at the same time found that 72% to 75% of the Palestinians support the October 7 massacre, and about 70% support the armed struggle as the main means of confronting Israel.”
Let there be no mistake: this is a war between Israel and the Gazans. All of them. It is a war between Israel and the Palestinians, excluding Israeli Arabs. We shouldn’t be feeding them, employing them, minimizing harm to them, or providing them with electricity or shelter. Just as the average Berliner was a Nazi, the average Gazan and West Bank Palestinian, is Hamas-ISIS. They want us dead.
Dr. Milstein believes that we should nevertheless not dehumanize the Gazans: “This would undermine the moral foundations of Israel and its image in the eyes of the world.”
What we have to do then, is dispose of our illusions that anything we do can affect change in their morality, prejudice, savagery, and genocidal dreams. What we need to do is create a buffer zone between us and never, ever allow them to pass over it….
Dr. Milstein has concluded that there is nothing Israel can do — except to commit politicide, and disappear altogether — to in any way diminish the “prejudice, savagery, and genocidal dreams” of the Palestinian Arabs, and especially of those in Gaza. He calls, as have others, for the creation of a buffer zone inside Gaza, all along its border with Israel. That area would become uninhabited, save for the IDF forces that will be deployed in that buffer zone to make sure there is no repetition of October 7.
Naomi Ragen’s uncompromising attitude of mistrust and anger directed not just toward Hamas, but toward those in Gaza whom too many still believe to be “innocent civilians,” shines through her coruscating commentary.

The realities should not surprise any Jew in Israel. Gazans….are they not mostly mozlums? mozlums learn hate, how to torture, how to rape and murder those they hate.
Did not the Gazans elect hamas to rule over them?
Have the “palestinians” not made videos of little kids singing songs of hate and murderous rage against the Jews? Has there not been photos and videos of little kids holding weapons and saying what they will do to the Jews?
the little kids may not understand everything they say and do, but those teaching them to say and do surely understand.
no one should be surprised that most…if not all….mozlums in gaza approve and take part in the ghoulish actions of hamas

Amen @SH. Well said.
It should indeed surprise nobody.
Islam is after all a death cult. They live to act out the sick twisted teachings of the qur’an.
Blood, terror, murder, rape, slaughter is an act of worship to these most evil of creatures & all neatly justified ‘In the name of Allah.’
Why is it, that even surrounding islamic Arab countries don’t want the poor Gazan public as refugees? The answer is clear. They are a troublesome infestation.
Because they are animals. They live like animals. They think like animals. & as we have seen they act like animals.
Yet across the globe, in so called civilized western countries we see marches supporting these barbaric vermin. It almost beggars belief, because as we know the public of Gaza & Palestine in general support Hamas really & by extension support jihad, terrorist acts & anything that furthers the hellish designs of islam.
somehistory says
thank you, Hudders.
Yes, an “infestation”…a pestilence in human form. No thinking person could want them as neighbors; but as you say, people all over the globe march in support of the vermin and their evil.

These useful leftie ‘useful idiots’ & well meaning ‘woke’ polticians, media companies & all others of their4 kind, have made a deal with the devil. Nothing else can explain the movem, ent that supportsa, threatens & protests in support of Hamas, the Palis & other connected socialist/islamist intrests.
Ignorance is & will be no excuse eventually. The fine print makes no difference to the devil. Supporting those who hate Christ, hate Israel & wish to enforce sharia law across the world for Allah, is an implied & spiritually binding agreement with hell itself for ever. How could it be possibly anything otherwise?
These are monumental times my friend.

In many cases, the trouble starts when they leave Friday worship. The “worship” seems to be a call to carry out all the worst acts that only humans are capable of doing. This indicates that Islam is the problem.
maria says
Why can the moslums be allowed to live in Gaza or in any part of Israel?
They are the worst enemies of humanity.
There are maybe 1 percent of mozlums who are human but all the rest are worst creatures like hitler
They must be sent to mozlum countries.

Israel should just shun the criticism by the EU, the US, SA, etc, and do what’s best for Israel. A WW2 Dresden, Hamburg or Tokyo style bombing would make short shrift of the war with minimal risk to Israeli soldier’s lives. And if anyone complains, Israel should respond: Tell Hamas not to start wars.
Sammy says
It may be a good idea to start referring to the terrorist attack of 7th October 23 as a casus belli. If the Israelis start using that phrase to refer to the events of that day, it will remind people that what is happening now is a war.
And in a war, as Churchill wrote, the way to defeat your enemy is “the proper application of overwhelming force.”

Yes exactly – both comments. As Islam stealthily and insidiously moves into mainstream society the respect they demand is increasingly given – everyone forgetting that the dubious, idiotic nonsense and ware-mongering tone of the Quran is nothing but Muhammad’s own mind creation and intent.
What’s intriguing and disturbing is that it was not the Truth of Allah as asserted in the Quran (in any case Allah is simply Muhammad’s persona, alter-ego) that drew people to spread ‘Allah’s reign’ – it was the fact that Arabs of that era had the particular character tendencies and narcissistic urgings to embrace all of this nonsense – and of course they probably did so so on the insistence of Muhammad.
Over the decades the cumulative effects of the particular character traits and choices made of Palestinians predisposed them to their current circumstances – Jewish people are not entirely responsible. It is madness and delusion to think anything else. Also, attempts at building any foundation of prosperity in Palestine has been seriously impeded and blocked by outlandish, dark ages Islamic teaching, ‘Law’ and punishment. Their supposed greatest love is the very thing which brings about their downfall. (And those that spread Islam also wish other to join the penitentiary of hate and anger.
Palestinians’ natural character development has been adversely affected by their own dogmatic adherence (spurned on by clerics’ demands) to daily ritual at the sound of the ‘cattle call’. They have robbed themselves of their natural wants and desires which Islam outlaws.
As such, the outcome of all of this is that Palestinians are full of hate and anger – their rituals have never rewarded them with what they would really like – but they I guess are too afraid to voice them. I also believe they are jealous of Israeli prosperity, and their mis-placed hatred in the Jewish people is even more augmented when they realize the Jewish can become happy without having to give this monstrous invention of Allah any recognition whatsoever.
So I think the cumulative effect of all this is you have Palestinians whose normal psychological development has been twisted and obstructed. Now Palestinians will hate Hamas one moment and rejoice with them the next, helping them in their carnage. They are ‘explosive’, impulsive and can go from one life-state, sheer joy to seething hatred the next. The ‘conditions of the moment’ seem to be the determining factor of what they impulsively ‘think’, say and do’. They do not seem to contemplate the causes and conditions underlying any one issue. They are the servants of their mind’ conditioning. They act first and perhaps dwell on the outcomes later.
They themselves ordain and create their own dismal destiny which does not accord with their best interests.
And beneath this sadness, suffering, befuddlement, anger and hate is this repugnant, God-forsaken ‘religion’ which takes life wantonly and attempts to eradicate one’s dignity as a human being in the name of some mythical, illusory figure named ‘allah’.

Wrong-o, buddy.
The “genocidal dreams” of the Gazans (there ain’t no such animal as a “Palestinian,” though those claiming to be “Palestinian” are animals, see 07 Oct 2023.), do not stop at the borders of Israel or with the death of Israelis.
We are talking Muslims here. The death of all Jews, wherever they are found, is the goal (see, generally, the Koran.) Christians and the rest to follow.
SJ says
That is correct. Why is the world so blind to this? How many evil, disturbing murders of innocents do we have to witness. This is ISLAM and it should not be just called Hamas.

As soon as they got rid of those they hate (non muslims) the next morning, the next morning they would be at it again between on each other. The modern non muslim world hasn’t seen this type of retro thinking, ever. You could try to call it medieval, dark age, jungle, stone age, nay, even prehistoric. However, I would bet you couldn’t come up with a more purposely malicious and disastrous perpetual ideology in any period of the world. Excepting islam and muslims. After all, islam would be nothing without muslims. It takes a special type of madman to be a truly devout muslim.

I also want to know. Has anyone here read memri.org? Subscribe to read their free reports. They even have an Oct 7th edition. You will see every Islamic nation celebrated the attack, yet the U.S. State Department which appears to be compromised – has never seen an Islamic Anti- American nation that they don’t love and give aid to.
Also, look at the videos of the mosques in America posting videos on YouTube about destroying the U.S., killing all the unbelievers, etc. It’s all there in their own words and look no further then MEMRI.org to point them out. Biden needs to be impeached along with the rest of his Islamist ghouls that’s he’s appointed to high positions in our government.

I think it’s a mistake to think that there is nothing Israel can do to change the barbaric nature of Gazans. Hamas and Gaza are a giant cult and people can be deprogrammed from cults. Learn from people who have done it. Israel should start with the Hamas terrorists it has captured.
1) Keep Gazan prisoners separated from each other.
2) Keep them from hearing continuous anti-Israel propaganda whether it be from radio, social media, mosques, Imams etc..
3) Expose them to true information about Israel and about Islam. Have someone in a role they respect talk to them.
Israel has had some success with turning Hamas supporters around. Son of Hamas is an example. So Israel already has some knowledge about what to do.
