It makes not sense for South Africa to pursue this. Until you consider that the ANC, which has complete control over the SA government, was bankrupt a month ago. It is apparently no longer bankrupt and is now able to pursue a very expensive election campaign.

There is drone footage of IDF soldiers assisting a Palestinian family loading up a cart with their personal possessions, and assisting their evacuation. This while Hamas was killing Palestinians trying to flee to safety.
