I once had a pen pal in East Germany and she attacked America by claiming that we think that killing women and children is a way to stop terrorism. She apparently did not know of the millions of women and children killed by communists. She called the government in her country an Eastern democracy, and thought it did what was good for citizens, whereas the US government was elected but ignored what the people want and need. The communist government was thus more peaceful and democratic. Now it seems that propaganda for Hamas and jihadis aims at the same effect.
