Wouldn’t insurance balk at paying out on cars that were recklessly left vulnerable to damage? Not to mention that given that it would be a depreciated value, it’s not like the owners would get to buy better cars as a result

Living in a high crime area can certainly lead to much higher insurance premiums, but I think that the insurance company has to “pay out” unless you do something really stupid like leaving the keys in the car with the motor running, etc.

I am sure that the owners 745 cars that were jihaded do not feel 2024 will be a good year. Officials must have put out a notice that the cars burned very peacefully. If each car was worth 10k that is about 7.5 million in damages 10k per car with the current market is most likely low. Never mind the damages the hot burning car could do to building near by and the toxic smoke from all the plastic ,rubber tires ect .I wonder how many cars burn in France on New Year eve 30 years ago before diversity set them on fire in 2023?
