When Islamic terrorists attack America, the UK or Israel, that never deepens the conflict. But whenever the victims of Islamic terror strike back, that “escalates”, “deepens the conflict” or “perpetuates the cycle of violence.”

I think the conflict is already pretty deep. The idea that conflicts are two-sided events, a concept beloved to anti-war lefties and libertarians who act like if we didn’t do anything the problem would go away is easily disproven by thousands of years of human history.
Conflicts can be two-sided, but they’re often one-sided. When one side is really obsessed with conquest for, say, theological reasons, the people it’s attacking don’t have to do much of anything. They just have to exist.
After a decade and a half of appeasing Iran, it’s become more aggressive in attacking us, not less so.
Whatever we do, the idea that it’s our response that escalates or deepens conflicts with Islamic terrorists is a distorted Orwellian reading of reality pushed by the Blame America First crowd.

There are also many places in the Qu ‘ran that instruct in violence and killing for the cause of Islam.

Those jihadists operatives of that Islamic regime of Iran in the different Western countries will not lose interest in their insidious dangerous strategic scheming against the nations of the West.

If I may add to your excellent response, ninety five percent of the conflict in the Middle East is a result of the Peanut Farmer. Had he not forced the Shah of Iran, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, from the throne, I contend that none, or at least very few, would be occurring at this time. That led to Sadam’s invasion of Iran and later Kuwait which brought the US into the fray and here we are now. Until Carter’s act of stupidity, Iran was supplying Israel with oil and Turkey was no enemy of Israel. Today people are dying because of Carter.

Yes. Note that murdering Americans did not deepen the conflict, but responding to it will.
In just the same way, I can’t count how many times now I have seen it characterized as Israel having started the war by going after Jihadists in Gaza, where the horrific invasion of Israel and slaughter of babies and kidnapping of women to use as sex slaves is something that Infidels should just submit to. Appalling.

Most societies whether they may be secular or religious do not want war. Okay the odd dictator comes along from time to time and they want to conquer other countries, but most people don’t want war. This is were islam is so different to any other religion. The whole islamic belief is built on the war footing of jihad, so war and conquest are obligatory to all muslims. But they only want war when they believe they’ve a chance of winning.
So it’s inevitable that one day we are going to have confront them, because when they believe they are powerful enough, they will most certainly attack us with everything got.

mozlums have been waging their war for world domination….in order to dominate and subjugate every human on earth…since the beginning of islam in the desert.
It has only been when others decided that to continue to live, to live with any measure of freedom, they had to fight back with every weapon available, that the mozlums began to back off from their constant war of subjugation.

We will never defeat Islam while we allow Christianity to govern our approach to threat of Islam. Christianity is a fine religion when peace governs the world but when faced with a murderous cult like Islam it is a disaster. For the followers of Islam we either submit or die. For a time, the followers of the religion of Christianity must take a step back. Other world religions have been wiped out. It is an evil, murderous cult.

Death to America, says it all. Why in the hell are we always sending aid to Iran and other muslim/islamic countries who wish nothing less than to KILL AMERICANS? If Iran or any of these Islamic countries attacks our country we should hit them hard and destroy their capability to attack us, not give them aid and weapons. It appears that over the last 50 years we have tried being a nice guy to these countries with no success, maybe we need to deal with them the only way they know how to deal with anything, hit them hard until they can no longer fight back. And if they stick their head up again knock them back down and keep them down.
