One of the ironies of Christian history is that the Byzantines, who were the first who founded the ” Empire of God “, came after them smart nomadic people who stole this idea from the Byzantians and founded their own ” Empire of God “, namely the Arab Islamic Empire first, then the Turkish Ottoman Empire. The latter managed to destroy and eliminate God’s first empire in history – the Byzantine Empire. It would have been better if Mr. Robert Spencer had condemned the historical deviation that occurred in the history of Christianity, for which the Byzantines and other Christian peoples paid a heavy price, instead of boasting and being proud of the defunct Byzantine Empire.

One of the great blessings of Mr Spencer’s work, writings & of course videos such as these, is the precious information packed within. For we are all terribly aware of & concerned about the current reanimation of those ancient armies of Allah & their modern day drive to see that cruel caliphate established again. So a balanced, knowledgable historical perspective is important, that we may thus eqip ourselves with all relevant facts pertaining. I find these things often to be found in Mr Spencer’s work & those of many of his colleagues too.
The more we know, the better we will prepare for what is coming. & coming it most certainly is.
Ignorance shall be in no ways ‘bliss.’ The threat is more real, immediate & significant today, than of many years previous.
Indeed, those ignorant of history will; in the case of current increasing aggressive islamic expansion, most certainly & brutally know the doom therein of repeating it.

This would make a great movie – where in an alternative reality the jihadis did overcome the Bysantines and flooded in to Europe and established a caliphate across the continent….

I read all comments after carefully watching the entire stream. There is an essential crucial issue that is pointed out by Robert and not taken note of in all comments:
After containing the domain of the caliphate, the British decisions to cajole the islamists by calling them peaceful and victims and using them to fight Russia in the Crimean wars, and later in “The Great Game” were perhaps singular moves that the British thought they could execute and manage and control Islam as well as Russia. This very policy was played out in India when the British decided to pander to Islamists demands, partition India by creating Pakistan, hoping that they would have a faithful jihadist state that could be unleashed at the British / American will and the land could be used to have bases to continue with their string of bases for the Great Game.
The same policy of pandering to the cult of Muhammad continues till date. US/UK et-al’s policy seems to be to manage Islamists – they would be willing to sacrifice Israel even. It is clear that their belief that they manage Islam, is flawed – it is in fact the other way round.
Sadly, I see little hope and just pray that some miracle occurs.
