Islam doesn’t teach that man may kill his wife, but once you’ve allowed him to beat her, accidents will happen.
The Qur’an teaches that men are superior to women and should beat those from whom they “fear disobedience”: “Men have authority over women because Allah has made the one superior to the other, and because they spend their wealth to maintain them. Good women are obedient. They guard their unseen parts because Allah has guarded them. It was the habit of ladies to support each other, so when Allah’s Messenger came, Aisha said, ‘I have not seen any woman suffering as much as the believing women. Look! Women – according to Islam – are assets, and family courts have no business getting involved.
If the man wants to discard his wife – if that is the right term in Islam, he just tells her three times that he divorces her. That is it! If she wants the divorce it is up to the imam to decide – after consulting the husband / owner mind you.
Women cannot just demand a divorce as the infidels do – it is as crazy as a Mercedes Benz filing for divorce from its owner due to reckless driving! It doesn’t make sense!

As for the rest, I don’t know if Wafae Khatab is herself Muslim or not–given her name, she might be. Wafae–or Wafaa–is an Arabic name. Of course, Muslim men have murdered their wives whether they are themselves Muslim or not.

Two good things about the news item is: One there was someone with the courage and moral integrity to save the lady. Two is that the court actually sent the animal to prison rather than a medical facility for the mental decease of Islamism as is the usual outcome. There are two problems that as I understand the English criminal system is that he will only spend half of the sentence behind bars and the rest outside being observed by authorities. The other is that he will most likely become even more Islamatized while being incarcerated.
