Human Rights Watch complains that Facebook is taking down posts in support of Hamas.
The Senate’s Censor-in-Chief who spent years howling that Facebook wasn’t censoring enough speech is attacking Facebook for censoring speech.
Hamas speech.
Senator Elizabeth Warren dispatched a letter whining that Facebook is suppressing “Palestinian voices”. The letter was endorsed by, among others, the Adalah Justice Project, American Muslims for Palestine (AMP), Americans for Justice in Palestine Action (AJP Action), Fight for the Future and, MPower Change.
Taher Herzallah, the Outreach and Grassroots Organizing Director for AMP, was recently caught on video, stating that Jews were the enemy.
“Anybody who has any relationship or any support or identifies himself as a Jewish person or as a Christian Zionist then we shall not be their friend, I will tell you they are enemy number one and our community needs to recognize that.”
After genocidal pro-terror campus mobs, university presidents suddenly rediscovered their love of free speech. So did media outlets and a variety of leftist groups, including Human Rights Watch, have also joined in, claiming that Facebook is censoring the pro-terror side.
Human Rights Watch complains that Facebook prohibits “organizations or individuals that proclaim a violent mission or are engaged in violence [from having] a presence on Meta” and “’praise’ and ‘substantive support’ of groups or individuals from Meta’s platforms. These are vague and broad terms that can include expression that is protected under international human rights law. In its scope and application, the DOI policy effectively bans the endorsement of many major Palestinian political movements and quells the discussion of current hostilities.”
Which groups is Human Rights Watch referring to?
Facebook uses “sweeping bans on vague categories of speech, such as ‘praise’ and “support’ of “dangerous organizations,” which it relies heavily on the United States government’s designated lists of terrorist organizations to define. The US list includes political movements that have armed wings, such as Hamas and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine. The ways in which Meta enforces this policy effectively bans many posts that endorse major Palestinian political movements and quells the discussion around Israel and Palestine;”
So Hamas.
Human Rights Watch complains that Facebook is taking down posts in support of Hamas.
Not that it comes right out and says it. Neither does Sen. Warren. Instead they dance around what they actually mean, pretending that the issue is censorship of “mere mentions of Hamas”, but eventually the truth will out. And this is the real agenda.
The good news is that the Left still believes in free speech. The bad news is that the only free speech it believes in is praising Hamas.

Criminals don’t remain silent. Criminals must tell others about their deeds, even bragging that they did them. And if they escape punishment, they are even more likely to blab.
The same is true for those who support terror. warren supports terror. warren is a liar and can’t keep quiet…because many of her actions are criminal in nature.
As are those other who support the mozlum terrorists….and who supported the terrorists of blm and antifa.

It seems that haters of the perceived ‘anti Pro – Palestinian voices’, such as Senator Warren, are placed in the awkward position of somehow including Hamas atrocities in their arsenal, in augmenting their Pro-Palestinian imposition and mission. I guess this is why they use ‘wishy-washy’ ambiguous language, alluding to Hamas methods’ justification without explicitly stating it. Basically they are trying to impress that, in the Israel-Palestine conflict at least, the ends justify the means. In other words, Hamas atrocities are justifiable as they are perceived as a major element of the ”Palestinian cause’. I know I’m stating the obvious here, but I’m do so in an effort to give some sense of credence to the following comments.
Firstly, this perception is erroneous as fundamental Islamic indoctrination, hatred and jealousy is what motivates Hamas, not empathy for the lives of Palestinians.
Secondly, in particular, Senator Warren is using subjective, ‘elusive, transient opinions, emotions and beliefs’ to justify, ‘objective’, actual, physical, cruel and wanton maiming, disembodiment and killing of innocent, everyday Israelis. She has lost sight of reality.
It seems her arguments, ‘fervor’ and ‘rationale’ are based on ill – conceived beliefs and hate sentiment rather than conscious reasoning. Hamas atrocities cannot be conveniently accommodated in an overall plan or purpose. They remain as what they are – wanton killing. How cannot senator see this and describe this for what it is?
It appears that her relentless intent or purpose of mind prevails no matter what. This is both sad and frightening. It seems her questionable ill-intent and obscure beliefs have become her master, and she their puppet. In Mahayana Buddhism they say this is a case of one losing their ‘goodness of mind’ which equates to ‘purity of thought’.
I apologize for this kind of ‘unorthodox’, somewhat philosophical approach – but I feel that, as well as stating what people like the Senator are ‘up to’, there is a need to get some kind of idea of what motivates them.

I have been observing Facebook posts that are favorable to Israel. There are alway many vile comments in favor of Hamas or Hamas objectives. Occasionally I have reported particularly vile antisemitic comments. Only one or two of those comments have been removed for violating Facebook “community standards”.
