The End Is Nigh: Hamas Operatives Surrendering ‘In Large Numbers’

Not every member of Hamas wants to be a “martyr.” They have seen how valiantly the IDF fights, relentlessly hunting them down in the north of Gaza and now in the south, with ever greater ferocity, determined to make sure that Hamas will never threaten Israeli civilians again. So, being the cowards they are — perfectly pleased to burn alive helpless children and gang-rape, torture, and murder young girls, a but distinctly less eager to fight the IDF — many are now choosing to surrender. They know that the Israelis won’t treat them the way they would have treated any Israelis who surrendered to them; they will not be executed. Photos and videos shared by Israeli journalists on social media show scores of men surrendering to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in the neighborhoods of Jabaliya and Shejaiya in Gaza.

 

Some videos from correspondents in the region reportedly showed the IDF arresting dozens of men who surrendered and were being checked to determine if they were operatives for Hamas or Islamic Jihad, both Palestinian terror groups operating out of Gaza.

“Jabaliya and Shejaiya are ‘centers of gravity’… for terrorists, and we are fighting them,” said IDF Spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari. “They are hiding underground and come out and we fight them. Whoever is left in those areas, they come out from tunnel shafts, and some from buildings, and we investigate who is linked to Hamas, and who isn’t. We arrest them all and interrogate them,” Hagari says in response to a question at a press conference.

“Hamas fighters surrendering here in seemingly large numbers,” wrote defense analyst Jonathan Schanzer on X/Twitter. “This is a good sign, if the trend continues. Questioning them will also lead to more intelligence that could also help bring a speedier end to this phase of the war.”…

“Hamas is losing control of Gaza,” said [Jonathan] Schanzer, the military analyst. “The IDF may be drawing closer to [Hamas leaders] Yahya Sinwar & Mohammed Deif. The question now: will they flee Gaza by tunnel to Egypt or fight to the end?

Hamas is not just “losing control of Gaza,” but many of its members are losing the will to fight. They have seen more than 900 of the Hamas tunnels destroyed, more than 6,000 of their fellow operatives have been killed, more than half of the Hamas’ battalion commanders have been killed, vast amounts of weaponry have been seized or destroyed, much of Gaza City and Khan Younis, where that weaponry and those command-and-control centers were located, have been reduced to rubble. The airstrikes keep coming, without the loss of a single plane. The Merkava tanks keep moving into position around Khan Younis, pounding targets deep inside the city, as they did earlier around Gaza City; Hamas fires RPGs at them, but only a single Israeli tank has been put out of service, and that one was quickly repaired and put back in operation.

What will Yahya Sinwar and Mohammed Deif do as their Gazan empire crumbles around them? I think they’ll do everything they can to escape. If they should manage to slip away to Egypt through a tunnel, the Egyptians won’t return them to Israel but will promptly imprison them as members of the outlawed Muslim Brotherhood (Hamas is the Gazan branch of the MB). If they can’t get out of Gaza, and don’t dare try to survive in the underground tunnels that may at any minute be flooded with seawater by the IDF, they’ll meekly surrender, or try to. Let’s hope that the IDF makes an exception in this case to its usual policy of taking alive those who surrender; Sinwar and Deif deserve special treatment.

    No surprise either that many in Hamas are cowards. Yes, there are some evil people who are not cowards but generally speaking most are.

  2. Israel shouldn’t be taking any prisoners. The only way to win a war against jihadist savages is to be absolutely ruthless in dealing with them. If Israel wants to fight this war according to Western human rights bla bla bla principles then it’s only a matter of time before they’ll lose and be wiped out. They should take an example of how Russia waged war and dealt with the Chechnen terrorists during the second Chechnen war. You don’t hear that terrorism is a big problem over there anymore do you. So clearly the Russian brutal scorched earth tactics do work.

    • While I understand and sympathize with your feelings, I think the Israeli’s minimize their own casualties by accepting the surrender of these animals. They would probably fight to the death if there is no other option. .

      Then, Putin has allowed Kadyrov to run Chechnya as a virtually independent Sharia’ah state, including persecuting Christians, forcing women into Hijab, and murdering suspected gay people.

      This kind of appeasement is not tough, and it does not make Infidels safer in the long run.

  3. None of the videos shows a lean mean Hamas machine; they appear to have been slaves of the delusion that victory would fall into their commodious laps.

        • Yes, because astoundingly, benefits can now be used for fast food and canned drinks. Somehistory has a bit of knowledge here. I was shocked at the way they’ve “improved” a subsistence benefit. And med orgs now message that obesity is healthy.

      • I personally observe that it’s widespread and not limited to the poor, but that’s just me. It is definitely a problem.

        • Yes. Having the right amount of fruits and veggies for a daily diet is a difficult thing. Besides the fact that they spoil quickly, as opposed to canned foods, which have a lot of additives…canned fruit normally has a that high fructose corn syrup, which causes weight gain, one trip for canned goods, as opposed to going more often for the fresh foods.
          And if one ever has to eat out…for any number of valid reasons….fast food is cheaper and fatter than eating at a high-end restaurant.

        • It’s also much easier to walk in safe, wealthy areas. The amount of time wealthier people have to pursue active lifestyles is far greater, here at least, than in poor areas. Or to deal with injuries so they can get back to sports. It’s rather astounding how much of the day (and how much money) is spent on active, nonwork in wealthy areas here.

        • I read some years ago that companies add so much to their processed foods, to not only make them last on the shelf longer, but to cause people to crave to eat.

          When I was young and we lived on a farm, had a garden and often fruit trees, we had no trouble staying slim. The hard work and the fresh…no additive…food…kept us a lot healthier.

          Now, it can be difficult to have a garden if one can find seeds that haven’t been modified by monsanto.
          And as you say, HP, it’s a lot safer for the rich to find ways to exercise
          I was thinking too, about cooking oils…olive is the best and also the most expensive. Most people cannot afford it, so they opt for corn oil or the canola (made from rape seed, which is actually bad for the heart), which then leads to health problems
          It’s much more difficult now to keep the extra weight off..

      Ultimately Islam and all Muslims have to go…they can convert to Christianity or any other religion but they must leave Islam.

      Basically we’ll be making them non-Muslims again…after Islam came and turned them into Muslims.

      If it means dropping bombs and nukes on them, so fkg be it…better them than us. And let us not forget if we lived in an alternate universe where Muslims were richer and stronger (aside from oil barons), they would’ve nuked all of us already.

      We’re just lucky in this world infidels are stronger and more numerous so we need to crush their little movement before it becomes a serious problem.

      As for these Hamas terrorist show no mercy to them, dig a large pit, start a fire throw them in, burn them alive like they did to the innocent kids of Israel…no jails for them. They’re evil bastards and deserve no sympathy from anyone.

      It’s also a lesson to other terrorist Muslims, if you dare to take us on, that’s what awaits you in your future.

  7. Israel should take no prisoners. They should just bomb everybody, otherwise, they’ll take prisoners, who’ll be the subject of future ransom demands from some jihadist group or another. Instead, just kill them all, clear Gaza & start settling it w/ Jews from Europe who read the writing on the wall about their governments doing absolutely nothing to protect them from jihadists

  9. Hamas obviously has different standards on physical fitness than what I experienced in the US military back in the day. Many of those guys need bras so send them some in the interest of humanitarian aid.

    I want to say to all those barely dressed militants, surrender is no way to die for your cause. All that big talk and then we see this. I’m really disappointed in them.

  12. Ages ago I mentioned that the Israeli Government and the IDF should just start pumping Seawater from the Med into those Tunnels and stop only when its obvious that they are full when the water comes over the tops.
    Its efficient, cost effective, and drowns all that’s down there.
    Now they are thinking of doing that so maybe they read what I posted… I would like to think that’s true… BUT!!!

Our wonderful Met. police in their usual utterly hopeless manner are treating them with the usual kid gloves. We sold off our water cannons most of them look as though they need a good wash as they are the filth of society (such as it is)

On other new services in Israel are reporting that in some cases the Hama jihadist are walking behind civilians who are surrendering wearing suicide vests to get close enough to kill IDF forces now they make them strip almost naked before the can come close, A reporter watching the IDF flooding the tunnels said Hamas terrorists are boiling out of them like ants in a pissed on ant pile.

  20. I realize I will be in the minority hear and I respect eveybody’s opinion.
    But the IDF should treat the prisoners well. Make sure they are well taken care of
    and fed and clothed. Not for any love for Hamas but to win the hearts and minds
    of them and other people of Gaza. Show the world Israel is not the monster they
    are made out to be. Try to win the propaganda war. When other Hamas fighters
    see they will be well treated the war will end quicker and IDF Lives will be spared.
    If people disagree I respect that.

    • Nothing they do will “win hearts and minds.” mozlums rely on their evil book to tell them who to hate…no matter how they are treated. In fact, they view harsh treatment as a strength and kindness as a weakness.

      Morality and ethics tells one not to treat others as they do not wish to be treated. Jesus made that a rule, but anyone can live by it if they choose.

    That sentence explains why I could never serve in any of today’s contemporary military services. I would deny their surrender attempts as I prefer the git er done approach. They are only surrendering to avoid being killed and letting them surrender only kicks the can down the road.
