Rep. Jerry Nadler, one of the most malignantly dishonest anti-Israel figures in Congress, first put on a defense of campus antisemitism.
“To be clear, I am deeply concerned about rising incidents of antisemitism in our nation’s institutions of higher education,” Rep. Nadler began. Then he argued that “threatening to pull federal funding from the universities and college campuses that need our help the most is, at best, wildly counterproductive” and “Congress doesn’t cut funding to universities when individual students on campus use vile racist or homophobic speech.”
Now, Nadler recruited Rep. Raskin and Rep. Goldman to join him in a defense of what he calls ‘anti-zionism’. They urged voting present on a resolution presented by Rep. Max Miller which condemns antisemitism, lists multiple incidents and describes them as part of a pattern that demolishes the supposed distinction between ‘antisemitism’ and ‘antizionism.’
The resolution ultimately passed 311 to 14 with 13 Democrats and Rep. Massie voting against it, and 92 Democrats, including Rep. Nadler, Raskin and Goldman, voting present.
The press release may have all three names on it, but it’s blatantly the work of Nadler and contains his patented cynical arguments like claiming that “the Satmar sect, a Hasidic Jewish movement, which remains staunchly anti-Zionist and quite obviously is not antisemitic.”
The Satmar movement is biblically Zionist, it is not politically Zionist. It rejects the current State of Israel, not the idea of a Jewish State, which no Jewish religious group could do.
It’s also a distraction and besides the point.
Rep. Nadler has a history of trying to cloak his attacks on Israel in Jewish garb, of trying to normalize his hostility to Israel by making procedural and technical objections.
But it’s becoming more and more obvious what his true objection is.

This is all so very confusing….how someone could be against, basically, what they are when what they are is not a bad thing.
If a person is a drug-addict, a sloppy drunkard, a raper of children, then a bit of self-loathing would be appropriate.
But, when a person is born a Jew, hating other Jews because they are Jews is just too stupid from the get-go.

Nadler, by his actions, has defined himself as an anti-Semitic Jew who hopes his support of anti-Semitic speech will spare him from the Lefties and Muslims who want him dead because he’s a Jew. He will not be spared is likely to be among the first to be killed like Norman Finkelstein an Noam Chomsky. I hope I’m there to see their head separated from their bodies.

Last night, at the debates, one of the candidates – I think Nikki Haley – said that Biden needed to, in the antisemitism bill, include anti-Zionism in it. The proposal itself is a no-brainer, except that Nikki Haley and Chris Christie are too enamored w/ the Bidens to mount any serious opposition to them
Once the GOP gets back POTUS as well as both House & Senate, I hope they make this change in the definition, so that the likes of AOC, Nadler, Raskin, et al can’t hide behind the “anti-Zionist” label while denying that they are antisemites

Although the vast majority of Jews support the state of Israel many do not. That doesn’t make them anti-Semitic or self-hating. There is a big difference between “not supporting” and “wanting the destruction of”.

But in the case of Israel, “not supporting” could actually mean their destruction.
