Qatar: Newspaper publishes poem calling on Muslims to ‘restore Islamic rule throughout the world’

Will the jihadis restore Islamic rule throughout the world? Unlikely. Will the jihadis kill many people as they try? Certainly. Is the West continuing to ignore, downplay, or — increasingly — identify with this imperative? Yes.

“Poem In Qatari ‘Al-Sharq’ Daily Calls On Gazans, Muslims To Wage Jihad And Restore Islamic Rule Throughout The World,” MEMRI, December 7, 2023:

On November 25, 2023, against the backdrop of the Qatar-brokered humanitarian ceasefire in the Gaza war, the Qatari daily Al-Sharq published an inciting poem titled “O Glorious Gaza, Rise Up” by Osama Al-Agha, an Arabic teacher in a Doha elementary school. The poem urges the people of Gaza and the Muslims at large to rise up and wage jihad in order to “crush the Zionists on the battlefield,” liberate the Al-Aqsa mosque and restore Islamic rule throughout the world. The poet also addresses Hamas’ late founder, Ahmad Yassin, saying, “Oh [Ahmad] Yassin, I see victory smiling.”

It should be noted that, as documented by MEMRI over the years, Qatar has for years been sheltering Hamas leaders, extending economic aid to Hamas and backing its armed action against Israel.[1]Moreover, the Qatari press regularly publishes articles praising jihad and armed struggle against Israel and encouraging terror within it.[2]

The poem in the Al-Sharq daily

The following is a translation of the poem.[3]

“O glorious Gaza, rise up and anticipate victory.

O people, wage jihad, for victory beckons.

Rise up and rebel, and establish the state of Islam

So that we realize our aspirations, my people.

Stand up and let us defeat the army that was the enemy’s pride,

Stand up and let us now crush the Zionists on the battlefield.

The [Gaza] Strip has come to lead the convoy,

And the lions leapt up to attack in our land.

The rebels burst forth like a flood,[4]

To drive out evil, oppression and humiliation.

Jerusalem too is enraged,

The mountains of Nablus erupt like volcanoes.

O Muslims, come [fight], for the call is directed at [all of] us.

The masses of worshipers at Al-Aqsa call out to us.

Let us advance on Al-Aqsa and liberate it.

We shall restore Islamic rule throughout the world….

  1. Little is understood of the Muslim mentality. In the 7th Century Arabia, they had battles with Poetry Competitions before battle. Sometimes the winning Tribe of Poetry, convinced their opposing tribe by Poetry, the battle was called off. So a call to arms by Poetry, has Political Islamic significance that spans centuries.

    Just like The Vatican, Islam thinks in Centuries. It is a Political World Agenda, which each Country will become Islamic. They claim, one day all the world will be Muslim, and they have a strategy to make it so.

  4. This rather odd poem ends with the statement. “We shall restore Islamic rule throughout the world”. The word RESTORE means to reinstate something that had existed previously. I’m no Islamic scholar, but I don’t recall hearing of any time in history when Islam ruled throughout the world.

    • Richard, Islam states that A) Adam and Eve were Muslim (never mind this being absurdly ahistoric, since Islam didn’t exist until the 7th century), and that B) everyone is born Muslim. and that Infidels later “rebel” (never mind that this includes many who have never even heard of Islam).

      So by these lights, the world was indeed Islamic ruled at some mythical period.

      • They really, really, truly do believe it–which is why Islam has no place a secular democracy.

Fortunately, there never has been islamic rule, which means rule by a bunch of primitive knuckle draggers who want everybody to live the life of Arab primitives back in the 7th century, so this is the usual lying, fantasy land bullshit from the Muslims. There never was islamic rule throughout the world, so it can’t be restored, and hopefully there never will be. Muslims are an evil, megalomaniacal danger to the non-Muslim world and they need to be shut off in their shitty, barbaric, incredibly backward Muslim countries with their fellow knuckle draggers. The photo shows Muslims in their usual rage. They belong nowhere near any civilised society where people mostly have some self control and behave in a fairly pleasant manner. Muslims should piss off out of all non-Muslim societies and thereby “restore” peace to those societies.

    • No such thing as a moderate islamic follower. While many muslim/islamic followers don’t pull the trigger, they pray for it and pay for it. That makes them major accessories to the crime.

  11. Western politicians are doing everything they can to bring this about anyway, flooding the west with as many Muslims ass they can.
