“Hamburger” does not mean that burgers contain ham. “Hamburger” is a reference to the dish having originated in Hamburg, Germany (there is a question as to whether hamburgers actually came from Hamburg or not–just as it is not completely clear if Danish pastries originated in Denmark–but that is the reference).
You are right about the Egg McMuffin, though–and many McDonald’s burgers also have bacon.
