Israel is Treating Wounded Hamas Terrorist In Hospital

We know that Hamas would not properly treat a single wounded Israel, whether soldier or civilian, who fell into its clutches. We already have heard about a half-dozen Israelis who were wounded and then taken hostage back to Gaza, only to be killed while in the terrorists’ custody. That’s not how the Israelis behave. They treat wounded terrorists, saving their lives, bringing them if need be to the most advanced medical facilities in Israel. There are dozens of these Hamas terrorists now recuperating in Israeli hospitals, where they receive the same care as Israelis. This story doesn’t get any attention in the international media because, of course, it doesn’t fit the narrative of colonial-settler-apartheid Israel, committing genocide on the helpless Palestinians. Here is the latest news about one such Hamas patient, alive today because of Israeli surgeons: “Hamas terrorist wounded in Gaza being treated in Israeli hospital — reports,” Times of Israel, December 13, 2023:

A Hamas terrorist wounded in fighting in the Gaza Strip is being treated in Sharon Hospital in Petah Tikva, Hebrew media reported Wednesday.

The move is in apparent contravention of a Health Ministry decision, made in the immediate aftermath of Hamas’s October 7 onslaught, that captured terrorists would only be treated in IDF or prison service medical facilities.

According to the reports, the man was seriously injured in fighting on Tuesday and due to the severity of his wounds, it was decided to transfer him to the central Israel medical center….

Sources familiar with the decision told Channel 12 and Kan that captured terrorists needing urgent medical treatment were being rotated through different Israeli hospitals. The official said the rotation agreement was done in coordination with the Health Ministry.

Soroka hospital in Beersheba confirmed to Kan that it also has a Gaza terrorist being treated there.

The comments appeared to indicate that Israel has shifted its stance from the initial decision not to treat captured terrorists in Israeli hospitals.

In early October, then health minister Moshe Arbel sent a letter to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu informing him that he had ordered all public hospitals and health services to redirect injured terrorists to IDF or prison service medical facilities.

“Since the beginning of the war, the issue of treating the accursed Hamas terrorists in public hospitals has created great strain on the healthcare system,” Arbel wrote.

He wrote that the health system needed to be focused on treating victims of the slaughter committed by the terrorists, injured soldiers, and on preparing for what is to come in the war.

“The task of treating and providing security for the accursed terrorists in the public health care system just detracts from this,” Arbel wrote….

The original idea was that it made sense, given the security problem of guarding Hamas patients in treatment, to place them not in ordinary Israeli hospitals, but in IDF or prison service medical facilities, where there is already a heavy security presence. But in the end, because some of these patients needed a level of care that those facilities could not provide, it was decided to let the Hamas patients be treated in the same hospitals as Israelis, where they would of course receive the same high level of care as all the other patients. Dozens of wounded Hamas members have already received such care, in several cases life-saving, in Israeli hospitals. It’s a story that has not appeared on the BBC, CNN, NPR, or in the pages of The Guardian, The New York Times, and The Washington Post. After all, it shows Israel in a good light, and for many in the international media, that would never do.

Israeli doctors saving the lives of Hamas terrorists leads us to ask, yet again: Genocide? What genocide?

  1. Saving the life of a Muslim who is wounded while fighting against Infidels is not doing the Muslim any favor. It is actually depriving the Muslim of immediate entry into Muslim paradise and his unending orgasmic pleasure with 72 houris. Taking a wounded Jihadi to a hospital to save his life is no way to show respect for his faith or for Islam.

    • And I would say furthermore that if you do save a Jihadi’s life, once he recovers he will feel obligated to kill you for showing disrespect of his religion.

        • It’s really bizarre, isn’t it? Actually, by Muslim logic the greatest thing a Muslim can do is not to kill an Infidel but to be killed by an Infidel because that way he will get his reward faster and not have to suffer through the pain of living in this world. It’s a way of thinking that has total disregard for human life, whether Muslim or Infidel.

        • I guess that I’m not as civilized as an Israeli, so regard it a waste of time, effort and money treating ignorant Muslim savages who upon recovery will once again aspire to killing Jews.
          Nigeria had the right idea in 2015/2016. After 6 years of its army failing to deal with the murdering savages of Boko Haram, they brought in maybe 200 South African mercenaries. In 3 1/2 months those mercenaries had done to Boko Haram what the entire Nigerian Army had failed to do – and they took NO prisoners.

        • Rob, the genocide of Christians in Nigeria is still rife. This incident you cite was an attempt by Christian President Goodluck Jonathan to curb Boko Haram.

          He had a generally spotty and weak response to Boko Haram, but stil better than than that of subsequent Muslim presidents of Nigeria, who in most cases seem to be supporting the Jihadists.

  2. This is like when a convicted murderer is sitting on death row, becomes ill with cancer or heart disease, has a heart attack, etc. and the prison officials rush him to a hospital for treatment to keep him alive.

    Israel imprisons terrorists…the leader of hamas was one of those and was released in a prisoner exchange…and has no death penalty for even the worst crimes. If they did put the scum down instead of locking them up, there would be fewer *exchanges* which allowed this hamas leader to plan based on his knowledge of Israel, etc.

    This hamas terrorist being treated will not bring any relief to the lies and pressure against Israel.

  3. There is generosity, and then there is suicidal over-compensating helpfulness.

    I don’t know, if I were an Israeli doctor, what i would do. But to me this seems incredibly stupid and rubbing salt in the wounds of needy Israelis.

    Because wounded terrorists who are healed live to terrorise and murder Jews again.

  4. Israel should do involuntary sex-change surgeries on all its POWs, & present Hamas/Qatar/UNRWA the bill. That’ll really screw w/ their plans w/ the houris, since the sunnah says nothing about what the latter would do w/ the TQI “community” ?

    • No, it’s true–Israel has a long history of offering medical cafe to *everyone*, regardless. There is no charge to Muslims–including Jihadists–who cannot or will not pay.

  7. But the facts of this story show the difference between the Moslem religion and the Judeo/Christian religion. We care for people, all people. Whether they identify with us or the other side. For us a human being is the ultimate being, created by our God as His best creation. Even if you are an atheist, a human is the ultimate creation of nature, created after billions of years and millions of previous attempts to a model as perfect as a modern human being. And we are continuing to develop. We are now seeing the emergence of AI, of advanced computer technology and technology that we cannot imagine. Yet in many areas of the world we are fighting people who are basically 7th century sub-humans who are capable of de-railing all our advances. They want to send us back to a world before electricity and modern medicine. We humans are here because of millions of lucky occurrences – the perfect climate, the perfect temperature, the passing of the dinosaurs and our curiosity. It may have occurred on many planets but we will never know. But we, civilised western man/woman must remain and continue.

  9. I think this demonstrates the difference between Judeo/ Christian peoples and those of the other religion. One is based on the Ten Commandments ” Thou shalt not kill ” , the State of Israel has no death penalty, the ONLY exception being that of Eichmann for obvious reasons , whereas the other religion actually orders it’s followers to kill Jews and non-believers to please Allah and guarantee a place in heaven, so what more inducement could a follower of Islam need?. And which also goes to disprove the contention that Jews did not exist but Abraham, Moses etc were , Islamists.. And which makes it a bit difficult to explain why Islamic dietary laws are a ” watered ” down versin of Jewish kosher ones.

  11. In an emergency, I treat a patient to the best of my abilities – regardless of their criminal record, religion, etc.

    The physician is not the one to sort out the politics, etc.

      In Dar al Islam, though, your hear about Muslim doctors and nurses who will not treat Infidel patients–or who even deliberately harm them. No Hippocratic Oath there.

    • How is this “strange”? Israel has a long history of treating all patients, including known Jihadists. Try again.
