Iran’s Permanent Ambassador to the United Nations, Amir Saeid Iravani, states “that the fates of Netanyahu and Biden are intertwined with the ongoing Israeli war on the Gaza Strip,” and that “conflicting interests” may become “unmanageable.” But that’s the only truth in his statement. Iravani mixes truth with lies, propelled by the Iranian regime’s agenda.
Netanyahu must continue the war on Gaza, not merely for the sake of his political future, as Iravani says, but for the very survival of the state of Israel. Biden, however, has troubling personal interests, especially given his history of courting the Muslim vote and his pact with Muslim Brotherhood-linked groups to win their support.
Iravani’s attempt to stoke further divisions between America and Israel obviously benefits Iran, which despises the US as much as it does Israel. One is referenced as “Great Satan” (America) while the other is referred to as “Little Satan” (Israel).
“Asked about the possibility of an escalation in Israel’s actions in the region,” Iravani “stressed that neither the United States’ strategic interests nor Israel’s capabilities necessitate the initiation of a new conflict.” Iravani is lying. It isn’t Israel that initiates conflicts, it’s jihadists. Beyond this lie is the question of whether the Biden administration (et al) even recognizes or cares about America’s strategic interests.
Contrary to what Iravani implies, America’s strategic interests are very much tied to the state of Israel, the only democracy in the Middle East. Should the well-funded jihad against Israel — waged by Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Hizballah, and Iran’s other proxies — necessitate Israel’s escalation, it is in America’s interests to fully back Israel. Iran’s immediate goal is to annihilate Israel from a region that Islam took by violent conquest, and its next goal after that is to destroy America. Twelver Shi’ism is the belief system of Iran’s leadership; it ascribes to the theology that at the end of days, “the Hidden Imam will appear in the midst of a violent apocalyptic scenario played out on a battleground stained with infidels’ blood.” On the Sunni side, Islam aspires to a global caliphate.
Amir Saeid Iravani and the Iranian regime can clearly see weakness and wavering in Biden, which they are all too eager to exploit. While it is uncertain how far the Biden administration will go in its support for Israel, Iran is watching closely, as are other enemies of America and the West.
“Netanyahu, Biden have ‘conflicting interests’ in Gaza war: Iran envoy,” Press TV, December 17, 2023:
A top Iranian envoy has warned that “conflicting interests” between Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and US President Joe Biden in the Gaza war may become “unmanageable” and cost them their political future.
In an exclusive interview with the American weekly news magazine Newsweek on Friday, Iran’s Permanent Ambassador to the United Nations Amir Saeid Iravani emphasized that the fates of Netanyahu and Biden are intertwined with the ongoing Israeli war on the Gaza Strip.
“Netanyahu finds his political future tied to the continuation of the war on Gaza, while President Biden perceives his reelection prospects entwined with bringing an end to the hostilities,” he said.
“This conflict of interests becomes increasingly unmanageable as the war persists, posing a significant challenge.”
The US, a staunch ally of Israel, provides over $3 billion in military aid to the regime annually.
Washington has offered untrammeled support for Tel Aviv since October 7, when the occupying entity waged the brutal war on Gaza following a historic operation by the Palestinian Hamas resistance group.
Recently, however, Biden spoke out about the Gaza war and warned that Israel is losing international support because of its “indiscriminate bombing” of civilians.
Iravani also said that Israel has increasingly become “a burden for America” in terms of material, political, and, notably, moral and reputational costs on the global stage.
Asked about the possibility of an escalation in Israel’s actions in the region, he stressed that neither the United States’ strategic interests nor Israel’s capabilities necessitate the initiation of a new conflict.
“Israel lacks the capacity to undertake invasions without the unequivocal backing of the United States. As the Gaza conflict persists, the associated cost of this support for the United States is exponentially escalating,” he added….

He is salivating at the idea biden will take away his support…such as it is…for Israel. The ghouls of iran wish to swoop in when that happens, and annihilate the Jews entirely.
He should put down his book of filthy evil, and read through Ezekiel 38 and 39 to see his future.
࿗Infidel࿘ says
Like I said, Israel needs to ignore the US completely for the next 13 months, & do what it needs to do to cleanse not just Gaza, but Judea and Samaria as well.
Also, once we have a new administration, every Democrat architect of the current foreign policy, be it on Israel, Afghanistan, Ukraine,… needs to be exposed, arrested and tried for treason
Kesselman says
I can only reiterate what Infidel says above that Netanyahu has to go all the way while maneuvering between the Biden regime’s day-to-day announcements and the additional international pressure on Israel and what’s best for his country.
What’s at stake for the Jewish state is nothing less than survival. Not in the short run but seen ahead.
