French President Emmanuel Macron’s minority rule in the National Assembly is in upheaval as both left and right opposition parties reject debate altogether on Macron’s immigration bill. The crux of the problem is that it’s too tough for the Left and too lax for the Right.
A government source said Macron, at a cabinet meeting, had denounced the “cynicism” of members of the opposition, accusing them of seeking to “obstruct the country”.
He was quoted as saying: “We need a law on integration and immigration.”
It’s a little too late for France to be talking about integration. The country needs to immediately stop all illegal migration and begin implementing mass deportations of illegals “considered undesirable,” as was actually proposed by Macron’s bill. What makes the bill problematic to those who oppose illegal migration is that it gives “temporary legal status under certain conditions to undocumented individuals working in specific sectors with labor shortages.” Opposition leaders on the Right are disapproving of granting legal status to illegals.
France’s open-door immigration policy has been disastrous in a country that has seen repeated jihad attacks, the spread of jihad doctrine, an unstable national security situation and a breakdown in social order.
The October 7 Hamas attack on Israeli civilians was an awakening to the West to the truth about jihad, and the barbarity of what jihadists are capable of. Open-door immigration is an open invitation to every enemy of the West.
French MP’s have now thrown out the immigration bill altogether without debate, leading to what the Guardian called a “humiliating defeat” for Macron and his Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin.
The implication for Macron is now that his ability to govern is being questioned. What’s more, questions are now being raised “about whether France has become ungovernable,” and whether it’s the “end of reign” for Macron’s minority rule.
Globalist Macron is now holding on to power by a thread. Let’s hope the tide turns against all globalist supporters of open-door migration, who are in effect destroying their country from within.
“MPs throw out French government’s immigration bill,” by Kim Wilsher, Guardian, December 11, 2023:
Opposition MPs have succeeded in scuppering the French government’s highly controversial immigration bill by having it thrown out before any debate began.
In a humiliating defeat for Emmanuel Macron, a motion to reject the law – known as the Darmanin law after the interior minister, Gérald Darmanin – was passed on Monday by five votes.
The motion, which was put forward by the Europe Écologie Les Verts party, was backed by an unlikely alliance of opposition MPs from parties including the Nupes (Nouvelle Union populaire écologique et sociale), a leftwing alliance; Marine Le Pen’s far-right Rassemblement National; and the conservative Les Républicains.
The government, which has no majority in the Assemblée Nationale, now faces the choice of sending the bill back to the upper house, the Sénat, passing it to a joint committee of seven MPs and seven senators to find a compromise, abandoning it altogether – which is unlikely – or forcing it through. The prime minister, Élisabeth Borne, could use the contentious constitutional tool article 49:3 to push it through without a vote.
Before the government’s defeat, Darmanin had said passing the motion to reject the bill would be “a denial of democracy”…

“specific sectors with labor shortages” will become anything that pro-flood politicians want it to be. Unacceptable. And I hope that thread onto which Macron is holding is gossamer.

Immigration of non-compliant persons is causing distress to the indigenous peoples of several European/ Scandinavian countries, so much so we should all get together and present a common face and determination to protect our own customs, culture and SAFETY.

“non compliant persons”? Is that something like moslems?

The “eliteness” of the French Aristocrats and paucity of native French offspring is going to be fatal.
“I tell you, Ahmad, this life is so great! Our ancestors tried to conquer this place and now the French are paying us to have kids and colonize it.”

Yes, so many Europeans I know have no children. Nature abhors a vacuum.

If the Frogs gad any sense they would get rid of this greasy communist and get a nationalist that supports the French people

Alas, though, even the flaccid Macron is too common sense for the far left in France.
