(ANSA) – ROME, OCT 9 – Education Minister Giuseppe Valditara said Monday that, if reports that members of some youth groups had hailed Hamas after its attack on Israel are true, the culprits should end up in prison, sources said.
There are reports that two Milanese youth groups expressed satisfaction at the attacks and at the killing of Israeli civilians on social media.
“If it is true that some school groups toasted Hamas and the death of young Israelis, they should be prosecuted under the law,” Valditara said while visiting a Jewish school in Milan to express his solidarity to the community after the attacks, the sources said.
“The schools involved will be inspected, with prosecutors requested to take action for the crime of racial hatred….
