An Iranian, Dr. Alireza Mossavat, sends me this explanation of the murder of Dariush Mehrjui and his wife:
This was done by Afghans that have entered Iran through Islamic Republic of Iran’s open border with Afghanistan. We have a real problem, as the Islamic Republic of Iran is allowing all Afghan males to enter Iran without being checked, much like Biden leaving the Southern border of the United States open. The Afghans kill Iranians and get away with it, calling it jihad. They make videos of it, saying they will kill us and rape our women and our kids will have to go to Kabul looking for their fathers…
The wife of this filmmaker posted on her Instagram that they had been threatened several times by a person that has a non-Iranian accent, showing her from the window of her door a big knife, saying he will kill them. She also said that their house had been robbed several times already, and the police were doing nothing. She said that man has threatened her son-in-law as well. The filmmaker and his wife were found with their heads cut off; shortly afterward, the news media was ordered to change the story to just stabbing. Their faithful dog had been killed, too.

TEHRAN, Iran — Iranian police arrested the “main killer” of director Dariush Mehrjui who was stabbed to death along his wife over the weekend, Tasnim news agency reported on Thursday.
The 83-year-old, associated with the Iranian new wave of cinema, and his wife Vahideh Mohammadifar, a 54-year-old screenwriter, were killed at their home in Karaj, west of Tehran, on Saturday.
“The main killer who was among those arrested by the police was identified and confirmed” during preliminary investigations, Tasnim said, citing the police.
“Interrogations are still ongoing to identify the accomplices and hidden angles of this murder.”
Police have arrested 10 people over the killings, the judiciary’s Mizan Online website said Tuesday, without providing further details….

So Iran is okay w/ sunni Afghans infiltrating into Iran, murdering shi’a Iranians and then getting away w/ it? If that continues unchecked, Iran will become a sunni country again (assuming of course that none of the Iranian people bother about this either)
