AP here says that two were killed; the “Muslim Crimes” Twitter account, which monitors Arabic-language media, says seven. Whatever the actual total may be, there is no doubt that the killer wanted to murder as many Israelis as possible.

CAIRO (AP) — An Egyptian policeman opened fire Sunday on Israeli tourists in the Mediterranean city of Alexandria, killing at least two Israelis and one Egyptian, Israeli and Egyptian authorities said.
A statement from Egypt’s Interior Ministry said that another person was wounded in the attack at the Pompey’s Pillar site in Alexandria. It provided no further details.
Israel’s Foreign Ministry identified the wounded as an Israeli who suffered moderate injuries. The ministry said in a statement that Israeli authorities were working with the Egyptian government to bring the Israelis home.
Extra News television channel, which has close ties to Egyptian security agencies, reported that the suspected assailant was detained.
Security forces quickly cordoned off the site of the attack. Graphic footage posted on social media showed two people lying motionless on the ground. Another was seen being helped by a group of men. One woman was heard shouting for an ambulance….

I’ve been to multiple islamic countries on military orders – and never felt safe even after taking the absolute strictest precautions.

I am so disappointed in Israel being so specific about Hamas and basically saying they love all the gazans and they are great but Hamas is terrible. The Palestinians want to kill you!! They may hate Hamas because they are corrupt and don’t provide great basic services, but they love Hamas for killing Jews! That’s the one thing they are fanatically devoted to.

You put your finger on it! Instead of declaring war on just Hamas, Israel should have declared war on the entire Palestinian authority, and started moving against both Gaza and Judea/Samaria.
