Israel: Hamas launches massive surprise attack, murders numerous Israelis in major jihad initiative

Why is this happening? Ultimately it’s not because of al-Aqsa, or because of any “occupation,” since the “occupation” is a propaganda fiction anyway. It’s happening because of the Islamic imperative to fight Jews:

A hadith says: “Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: The last hour would not come unless the Muslims will fight against the Jews and the Muslims would kill them until the Jews would hide themselves behind a stone or a tree and a stone or a tree would say: Muslim, or the servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me; come and kill him; but the tree Gharqad would not say, for it is the tree of the Jews.” — Sahih Muslim 6985

Read the beginning of the words attributed to Muhammad again: “The last hour would not come unless the Muslims will fight the Jews and the Muslims would kill them.”

So this is not a hadith about the “last day.” It is a hadith about the conditions under which the “last day” will come about, and how Muslims can bring about the “last day”: by killing Jews.

JERUSALEM/GAZA, Oct 7 (Reuters) – The Palestinian Islamist group Hamas launched the biggest attack on Israel in years on Saturday, killing more than 20 people in a surprise assault that combined gunmen penetrating into Israeli towns with a barrage of rockets fired from the Gaza Strip.

Israel said the Iran-backed group had declared war as its army confirmed fighting with militants in several Israeli towns and military bases near Gaza and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to retaliate.

“Our enemy will pay a price the type of which it has never known,” he said. “We are in a war and we will win it.”

At least 22 Israelis were killed in the attack so far with more than 250 wounded, Israel’s ambulance service said, but added that the toll was expected to rise.

The Israeli military said it had launched air strikes into Gaza, where witnesses reported hearing heavy explosions, with at least two dead.

The attack marked an unprecedented infiltration by an unknown number of Hamas gunmen into Israel from Gaza, and one of the most serious escalations in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in years.

Israeli broadcaster Reshet 13 TV News said militants were holding Israelis hostage in the town of Ofakim, and that five Palestinian militants had been killed in the town of Sderot and homes had been set on fire.

Israeli media reported gunbattles between bands of Palestinian fighters and security forces in towns in southern Israel. Israel’s police chief said there were “21 active scenes” in southern Israel, indicating the extent of the attack.

In Gaza, people rushed to buy supplies in anticipation of days of conflict ahead. Some evacuated their homes and headed for shelters.

Hamas military commander Mohammad Deif announced the start of the operation in a broadcast on Hamas media, calling on Palestinians everywhere to fight.

“This is the day of the greatest battle to end the last occupation on earth,” he said, adding that 5,000 rockets had been launched….

  1. This is why any “historic diplomatic breakthrough” between Israel and Saudi Arabia should be kept in context. Among their many motivations, the Saudis hope to tie Israel’s hands in any response to Palestinian provocations like the one that just happened. If Israel responds too forcefully, the Saudis will threaten to break off relations and we’re all back to square one.

    • Which means that Israel, once again, won’t retaliate forcefully enough. And you can bet that biden, and every other politician, is already telling Israel not to attack in return.

    • Israel’s first responsibility is to its citizens, not to Saudi Arabia. They should crack down as they deem fit, and leave it to Riyadh to decide whether or not they wanna mend ties. As it is, since Saudi Arabia has that Beijing-brokered agreement w/ Iran, they may not care for Israel at this point

  2. Hamas is an “army” of cowards. They attack women and children and when Israel retaliates, Hamas hides behind women and children. Hamas is a cancer and needs to be ‘cut out’ once and for all, as well as its supporters in the United States and elsewhere.

    Look at the string of murders and other attacks leading up to this day. WHAT DID YOU DO? Did you raze the villages of these terrorists to the ground and execute the inhabitants? No, you did not.
    And how the h3ll did you manage to get caught with your pants down today of all days? You KNOW their playbook, why weren’t you ready for this?
    If you don’t obliterate Gaza this time, no-one will ever believe you again

    • Yeah, Bibi is no Begin or Shamir. Whenever these sort of things used to happen, they’d respond by building more settlements

      The Palis need to be expelled once & for all from everywhere – Gaza, Judea, Samaria. Let Israel retake Hebron, Jericho, Nablus, Bethlehem, & resurrect all ancient Jewish monuments there. Drive the Palis into Jordan (whose relations w/ Israel have been deteriorating anyway), Qatar, Kuwait or any other country of their choice

      Enough is enough!

  4. What has so surprised me in this latest chapter of the 1400 war of Islam-v-the-World is that Israeli intelligence didn’t pick up on this planned attack. That the Muslims were able to capture several Israelis and an Israeli soldier is shocking. There’s even a rumor that the Palis have captured an Israeli tank.

    The jihadists of Hamas did ,indeed, did make a “big mistake.” For it’s very fitting and even necessary that the Israeli military and police need to and have to engage in extensive measures of retribution for those Hamas terror /murder attacks.

    For it’s very obvious that the jihadists who make up Hamas only understand the language of violent brutal force, therefore that’s exactly they should be dealt with

    mozlums are psychopaths. They act for totally selfish reasons and then put the blame on others for their terrorism. And the “world” goes along with their evil.

    West Texas has a rattlesnake roundup because there get to be too many for the area and endanger the lives of citizens.
    The Florida Everglades are inundated with pythons, which are killing the rest of the area’s wildlife. People are encouraged to hunt down and kill those snakes.

    Snakes come in all kinds….including the human kind.

  9. Concerning those most recent jihad attacks by Muslim terrorists of Hamas.

    It’s very important and necessary for the Israeli government to launch retaliatory strikes against Hamas.

    The reason why this is so had been explained over 200 years ago by a US President , Thomas Jefferson, who had wisely declared “With every barbarous people…force is law.”

  10. This is not so much about the hadith that you
    mentioned but about the general Islamic perception that, land once ruled by Islam will always remain Islamic. Israel Palestinian conflict is also because of this very notion. We can also say that all the conflicts involving
    Muslims around the world are based on this very notion.
