It is refreshing to see a far-left outfit such as the Guardian come out for the freedom of expression and against Denmark’s capitulation to Sharia blasphemy laws, but its dismissal of Qur’an burnings as “bigotry” is shallow and propagandistic. Salwan Momika, who has engaged in a series of Qur’an desecrations in Sweden, is not a “far-right bigot.” Rather, he is a refugee from Iraq who has considerable firsthand experience with ardent believers in the Qur’an. But that fact, and its implications, is never, ever considered in the establishment media.

The answer to the question is both simple and complex. It is simple because any law outlawing any kind of blasphemy is unacceptable and should be opposed. Having abolished its blasphemy law in 2017, for Denmark to seek to reintroduce it in a new form is retrogressive….

Because, they claim that who criticizes Islam is either white supremacy or Islamophobic, here we are a brown color man from middle east who better knows what is Islam Personally, I am against book burning bur quran is not a book. Muslims in Sweden should accept her laws and if they don’t like, they are more than welcome to leave. BTW, muslims yesterday and mainly from Syria, waited after the protest session Salwan did and at night, they burnt Malmo in south Sweden and attacked police care and men with stones. 10 of the barbarians got detained, 2 got arrested. As usual, no mainstream media coverage of the daily bleeding of Europe by Islam. Europe has to wake up and ban Islam though I think it is too late

As for being in fear of islam, I must disagree. Fearing islam is the same as fearing man, as all actions we experience and that are taken for the spread of islam are taken by man. Break this down: mozlums have an “obstinate ***and**** unreasonable attachment ” to islam.
islam is a “belief” system, and devout mozlums expect…in an “unreasonable” manner, that everyone on earth put the same values on their book of unholy filth as they do.
What other group expects the whole world to respect, value, honor, etc. what that group respects, values, honors, etc.? mozlums expect the rest of us to agree with them and allow them to bully us.
The second part: Prejudice against people due to their “membership” in a particular group. mozlums have, and show, and demonstrate an extreme “prejudice” against the other large group of humans….non-mozlums, infidels, unbelievers.
In sum, then, mozlums are bigots. They show their bigotry and then expect the rest of us to welcome and adore them and bow to their every demand.
Those of us who recognize the evils, the ugliness of islam, should be allowed to reject their book, reject respect for their book, and reject the demands mozlums make that we give undue honor and respect to their belief system and their desire to force us to comply with its unholy rules.
The Freedom of Speech includes the freedom to say that we don’t like something; that we abhor something, that we detest something because to us, that something is evil.
mozlums freely say what they don’t like, whom they hate and all whom they want to slice and dice for their fake god. Shey show absolute disrespect to everyone.
Freedom of speech is a two-way street. Respect is earned.
