A purely symbolic move, and one that is against the spirit of the age. Denmark has already folded and submitted to Sharia blasphemy law. Sweden will soon follow. The turn of the Netherlands will come in due time.

SCHIPHOL – Khalid Latif, a Pakistani former cricketer, has been sentenced to twelve years in prison for offering the equivalent of 21,000 euros for the murder of Geert Wilders. He did this from Pakistan in 2018 via a video on the internet, in response to a cartoon competition about the Prophet Mohammed devised by the Member of Parliament.
The court of The Hague, which sat in the extra-secure court at Schiphol, called it “far from inconceivable that someone would feel called to respond to the call.” The sentence corresponds to the prosecutor’s demand at the end of last month.
At the time the video was released, there were protests in Pakistan against the cartoon contest. The court states that the man “added fuel to the fire” with the video. It is also noted that the former cricketer enjoyed “a certain international fame.” The Public Prosecution Service previously mentioned that his call had a wide reach.
No extradition treaty
The Netherlands does not have an extradition treaty with Pakistan, which means that Latif will not be extradited to the Netherlands. Latif did not come to the hearing for the hearing of his case, nor did a lawyer. Wilders was present at both the hearing of the case and the ruling. In response to the verdict, he says that he is “very happy,” but that he will only be really happy when Latif ends up behind bars.In a statement at the end of last month, he spoke extensively in court about the impact of the death threats he receives. “I don’t need pity, but I do want you to understand what this means for me and my family. Because of all those fatwas, I have been living under heavy security for nineteen years. It started in 2004 with the then Hofstad Group. I’ve never been home since. I have lived in a prison, a barracks, a police station. And to this day, my wife and I live in a safe house.”…

While a symbolic gesture it still sends a strong signal, esp. to Muslims with Europe that if they do make such death threats, they will face jail for it.
Western nations still have a long, long way to go to dealing with threat of Islam on our civilization. But this is a healthy sign that they are starting to realize that Muslims are not an ordinary group of people who are victims of western colonialism as often portrayed by themselves and the Left.
It means we’re finally overcoming our political correctness and getting tougher.
I do feel sorry for Geert Wilders who has lost all his freedom thanks to danger that Muslims pose to him and other politicians.
You’d think his political peers would see what he’s going through and realize it could be easily be one of them. Instead I’ve heard of speeches where esp. the far Left and Muslim politicians poke fun at him for his situation.
This is exactly why we’re in this mess in the first place. Because our fellow non-Muslims in power don’t take this danger seriously even though the evidence smacks them in the face on a daily basis.
This really is a no brainer, a smart nation would’ve seen right away that if a group of people can do that to one man (pose a constant danger to his life) then they have no business being in their country and to kick them out. Other countries remove/deport thousands of migrants/invaders or others all the time and we barely even hear about it.
Why are we acting as if it’s just impossible to remove Muslims now that they’re here. I’ve literally heard western judges say they won’t send some criminal convicted of very serious crimes like rape/murder, back to their home country because it won’t be safe for them.
Which means these insane judges care nothing for the safety of their fellow citizens and are putting the so-called rights of the convicted murderer/rapist above our own.
That right there is the reason nothing is being done about Islam, because of traitorous judges/politicians and other people in power.
It’s not the ordinary citizens (for the most part) that are protecting Muslims, it’s scumbags in higher offices that are doing it.
Frankly as we are in a war that Muslims brought to our shores, the enemy combatants and their supporters are the problem that needs to be dealt with.

This is just total BS! They can condemn this guy to 12 years on prison that he will never serve and nothing will change. What would change, is if all fake refugees from Muslim countries would be sent back to their own countries! End of story! We have wokeism and political correctness and the likes of Merkel to blame for this state of affairs. Hey, USA, you better wake up, because Sharia and a Jihad is soon coming to your neighborhood!

Well, someone once said to someone I know: ‘Well, cows can only defecate so much.’ This was in response to laughter at the message that he had destroyed umpteen tons of cow manure in North Korea (as in 1953). I was given to understand he worked for the CIA, doing clandestine ops cross border. I take what he said to mean: ‘you gotta start somewhere’. At least it is finally becoming clear the Dutch judiciary is coming round to reality.
