The most recent death threat I received came on X (you know, that’s what we old folks call Twitter) on Sunday, and it was refreshingly direct: over a video of a group of men repeatedly screaming “Allahu akbar” as they burned multiple photos of Dutch politician Geert Wilders and me, the person behind the X account “Bhaie Asad” had written: “2 dogs. I kill you in shaa ALLAH,” that is, Allah willing. That account has now been suspended; I no longer bother reporting them, but others do, and they get banned, only to return a few days later. I’m sure Bhaie Asad and his friends will be back in a day or two with new videos and new threats.

This has been going on for a long time. A group of Muslims in Pakistan has apparently decided that one safe and easy way to fulfill their obligation to jihad and to “strike terror in the enemies of Allah” (Qur’an 8:60) is to make videos and gifs depicting me being tortured or killed or otherwise punished for my transgressions. One recent video had a man holding a gun shooting point-blank from about two feet away at what looked like an election-cycle yard sign depicting Wilders and me (now there’s an interesting electoral ticket), and still not managing to knock it down.

After I laughed at this on Twitter, they posted a new video in which the failed shooter, exasperated, kicked the sign down and stomped on the pictures of our faces. A gif from a year or so ago used my then-current publicity photo, in which I was faintly smiling, to depict me incongruously hanging upside down in hellfire, smiling benignly all the while.

Long before these Pakistanis latched on me as the particular focus of their keyboard jihad, I’ve been in the sights of various jihadis. Shortly after 9/11, I ventured incognito into a now-defunct pro-jihad site, RevivingIslam.com, where I found one fellow saying that I was already on al-Qaeda’s hit list, so there was no need for a new fatwa.

Another was kind enough to pray for me, although the content of his prayer was a trifle disconcerting: “May Allah rip out his spine from his back and split his brains in two, and then put them both back, and then do it over and over again. Amen.” My publisher at the time, Regnery, thought that was so funny that they put it on not one, but two of my book covers, and so far, I still have my spine and my brains, though many would say I never did have much of the latter.

    The shooting skills of that guy look legendary. After 6 shots w/ one gun didn’t do the trick, he took what looked like a Kalashnikov and fired 6 more shots at the other, stepping closer and just managing to get the corner of that thing. He ought to move to Afghanistan and join the Taliban or IS-K. Or maybe just within Pakistan itself, join the TTP

    • The rifle is an M16/M4 assault rifle or an AR-15 variant.
      AKs don’t have the cocking handle at the top rear of the receiver.
      And who can say whether this fool is not already a member of one of the the peace and love groups that seem to breed like germs in Shitastan.

    Think what they would miss if one succeeded….no more Mr. Nice Guy to threaten.

    The fbi has shown in recent years, to be led by those who are on the side of evil, terror, corruption, threats and lies. Going after Catholics…have they been listening to the pope guy?

    Jesus said, “Count the cost” of being His disciple. He knew it would not be easy, but that one could expect many threats, persecution, and even death for the choice.

    It’s the same with any who boldly stand for Truth, real Justice, and Freedom. For some, it’s the only choice that makes sense; the only choice to make.

  5. I saw that GW and RS shooting fool who couldn’t even change out of his mother’s dress and his underwear before showing off his savage idiocy to the whole wide world. No wonder he can’t even hit a 2’ wide target. I hope they’re all this incompetent.

    I blame our governments. If they weren’t all so busy taking money to protect this ilk, neither of you would have targets on your backs for telling the truth they’re covering up.

      Guessing he believes he is tough. Like a bully in a school yard surrounded only by year old babies…but still can’t take away their toys.

      • Tough as the Saud who killed US soldiers for mocking his pornstache instead of being embarrassed at being so weak that he couldn’t take a little ribbing. But then, they can’t take the sight of a woman’s hair, either. Or an unmarried infant.

        • Their personal feelings are more important than any real character, any real honest-to-goodness personality. and all of their feelings are based on a book that tells them how superior they are because they follow a mass-murdering, raper of children, lying sack of maggot debris.
          Their “feelings” make them feel tough. Murder the women and little children; murder others while part of a mob or gang; murder those who are the least suspecting…such as the saudi you referenced.

    Not sure if they know Marc is an exclusively male name.

    • mozlums don’t discriminate …they rape males too. Esp young ones. I don’t doubt that you know that.

      • Yeah, Gadaffi was raped, before he was killed. When muslims say they’re against homosexuality, they’re referring to the emotional bonding b/w 2 men or 2 women, not the physical. Whereas for most of us who’re not fans of ?️‍?, it’s the latter that’s the problem: as far as the former goes, that part is more of the 2-consenting-adults part
