Islam doesn’t evolve with the times. Muslims yap about their god being merciful, forgiving and, loving, etc. but ofc reality is the exact opposite.
There is only Islamic rule and Sharia law. Muslims in power have no choice, even if they wanted to show tolerance, leniency, they have to follow the law to the letter, because it comes from “god” and that’s just one of the aspects of religion that makes it so dangerous.
In fairness to other religions, their followers do think and adapt to changing times and do show real mercy/kindness to others…but not always, because they also adhere to certain dogma which they believe comes from a god, even though its never been proven and all these books are man-made.
The only actually fair judicial system is one based on compassion for individuals and protecting their rights/freedoms within reasonable limits…a secular-democratic state, as opposed to theocratic.
This woman’s only choice will be to leave the country or pretend to live as a Muslim outwardly.
These Muslim morons will never realize any system that doesn’t serve humanity (and makes them suffer) and instead serves itself or some elites, is a rotten, terrible system and should be eliminated (like Islam).

I think it is time that violence against children should be discussed among Muslims. If Islam really is a peaceful religion, Muslim countries must show the world that they consequently ban child corporal punishment, like most of the secular states have done already (see Wikipedia page “Child corporal punishment laws”). The high level of violence against children in the MENA region (see UNICEF data and reports) seems to have a large impact on mental health of the population (Sultan Califi).
