One of the Indian’s largest Hindu groups has vowed to step up campaign against Love Jihad and Islamic conversations. Mohan Bhagwat, head of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) organization, urged the members to raise public awareness over the multi-front jihad being waged in the country and organize the Hindu community around the issue.
The RSS chief warned about Love Jihad amid growing reports of grooming of Hindu girls and their conversion to Islam. Land Jihad, or the illegal encroachment on public land, and building of mosques and madrasas on those properties, was another matter of concern for the Hindu group. “Land jihad is the new activity in the rural areas of [the northern Indian state of] Uttar Pradesh, bordering Nepal. People are grabbing Hindus’ lands there to build mosques, mazars and dargahs,” Bhagwat warned.
The RSS is particularly alarmed over large-scale conversations, or “dawah” activities, undertaken by Muslim groups near India’s border with Pakistan, thus posing a security threat to the nation, Indian media reports suggest. The RSS chief’s “fresh reiteration on the subject was, not surprisingly, seen with much significance amid recurrent incidents being reported from various parts of the country, especially in areas close to the international border,” the Times of India reported in an apparent reference to India’s 2300-mile border with Pakistan.
The RSS, which is estimated to have a nationwide membership of over six million, regards itself as a grassroots Hindu community organization, but has a considerable influence on India’s national politics. Country’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has close organizational ties to the RSS, with many of India’s cabinet ministers being current or former members of the organization. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was himself a community organizer for the RSS before his foray into party politics in 1998.

Expressing his serious concern over the rise in incidents of religious conversion and ‘love jihad’, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on Sunday asked Sangh functionaries to take up the twin issues to the people aggressively and ensure that they are curbed.
Chairing an organisational meeting of Awadh region in Lucknow, Bhagwat said the menace of religious conversion seemed much more profound in rural areas, which was a cause of “serious worry”. “We need to focus especially in areas where anti-nationalist and anti-social elements were active,” he told RSS workers.
The issue of rising religious conversion has been high on the agenda of the Sangh for many years. Bhagwat’s fresh reiteration on the subject was, not surprisingly, seen with much significance amid recurrent incidents being reported from various parts of the country, especially in areas close to the international border.
The RSS boss discussed the measures required to be taken for the welfare of the Hindu society in the region.

Please don’t take any claims that RSS is anti-jihad or anti-islamic seriously. They are on record saying a lot of things like

➤ Nation comes before dharma*
➤ All Indians, regardless of faith, are “Hindus”

Add to that all the policies of this government, which has been harder on Hindus than any previous government. There is a fireworks limit on Diwali, despite the fact that the pollution due to fireworks is a fraction of a percent on that day, as per IIT analysis on that subject. Courts frequently rule against Hindus, such as restricting muslim stores outside Hindu temples (if Hindus dare set up shop outside mosques, muslims use a combination of boycotts and intimidation to force them out). Love jihad incidents are ignored by the mainstream media and noted only by news organizations like OpIndia, Swarajiya, Hindu Post and so on. Whenever Hindus celebrate their festivals, muslims insist on the right to infiltrate it, and also, otoh, attack it if their processions dare pass through “muslim areas”
No, the RSS is compromised, and according to some analysis, including Koenrad Elst, it never was a Hindu organization in the first place. Sitaram Goel famously said, “The RSS is leading HIndu society into a trap from which it may never recover. Hindu society is doomed unless this RSS/BJP movement perishes”
Essentially, both RSS & BJP have been silent on the murders of Hindus nationwide by muslims (and in Manipur by Christians). Love jihad has been rampant in all states, whether ruled by the BJP or the opposition I.N.D.I.A. parties. It’s a disgrace, but Hindus in India is not much better off than they are in Pakistan. Of the entire Hindu population in India, 50% is HINO, 40% is Hindutva and the remaining 10% undecided
This is why Hindutva minded Hindus need to abandon the RSS/BJP en masse and instead rally behind Ekam Sanatan Bharat. Or, if they’re not totally happy w/ the latter, create other alternative parties. Let Hindus have anything from 3-10 parties dedicated to them: that would force a healthy competition for Hindu votes, and dry up the support from them for either the BJP, or any of the I.N.D.I.A. parties
* Dharma, while often translated into “religion”, actually is a blend of “righteousness” and “duty”, and is a uniquely Hindu concept. Secular Indians, particularly HINOs, just substitute it w/ religion, then claim Hinduism is the same as islam, Christianity, Sikhism, Buddhism, Jainism…. and therefore, loyalty to India is more important than doing what’s right (which is what “dharma” really means)

Interesting that you should bring up Manipur, of all places. Yesterday, 2 Manipuri Hindu teenagers – 1 girl, 1 boy – were beheaded after kidnapping – not by muslims, but by Kuki Christians, and the Indian govt, which had been turning a blind eye to the persecution of Meitei Hindus in Manipur for months, has finally been forced to declare Manipur a “disturbed area”
The parading of a Kuki Christian naked on the streets was later found out to be done by muslims, not Hindus. The conflict was started by the state high court declaring the Meitei tribe should receive the same rights as the Kuki & be accorded the status of a scheduled tribe, and then the riots were started by the Kukis. As it is, the BJP govt has shown that it can be tossed around by just about anybody
In this current climate, for you to state that Hindus are the ones persecuting Christians is pure sophistry, and a good part of the reason that many Indian Hindus now consider Christians just as evil as muslims thanks to this bullying

Read my post above. RSS has declared them all the same DNA, has asked its workers to serve muslims and Christians more, and has openly declared that it’s about India, not Hinduism. More Hindus have started getting that message and are abandoning the RSS/BJP in droves. I agree w/ you that the RSS is evil, but not in the way you describe. RSS is evil in that after decades of inspiring Hindus to rally behind it, once in power, they’ve started saying that they’re about India, not Hindus and have abandoned Hindus on several issues and switched over to muslims

Rss appealing to Muslims and Christians is because they want to make a good name for them in front of the world. But their ideology is anti Christian that is a fact. Also this appealing to Christians and Muslims is seen by its supporters as a shift towards becoming secular whic h you yourself have pointed out. Even if the rss becomes secular that does not change the fact that followers of hindutva ideology are anti Islam and anti christianity.

The only reason the Hindutva movement even exists in the first place is islam, and to a much lesser extent, Christian attempts at conversion. We’ve never had anything against Jews, since Judaism is a “push” rather than a “pull” conversion: one has to want to convert to Judaism to get into it. And aside from that Hindus have never had issues w/ Jains, Buddhists, Parsis and Sikhs (aside from Khalistan)
I have no idea why you think that being anti-islam would be considered a bad thing on this site: anyone who has read Robert’s books or followed the news on this site, as I have for now 16 years, would be negatively disposed towards it. That brings us to the Christian aspect, and here, it’s worth noting that Indian Christians are nothing like those in the West. Instead of being taught the basics of their faith which strengthens it, they’re oriented towards conversion, and making common cause w/ muslims as fellow Abrahamics, even though most Western Christians know that islam distorts the stories about Jewish & Christian figures so badly that calling it Abrahamic is itself a distortion. At any rate, result is people like that Kerala Christian guy in the Emirates who was so excited to know that muslims hold Isa as a prophet (even though that guy is actually nothing like Jesus) that he converted to islam, joined ISIS, converted to islam, made a trip to Libya & got killed while attempting a suicide attack. And now they’re busy w/ the pogroms in Manipur: converting Mizoram, Nagaland and Meghalaya wasn’t enough to satisfy them
Lest you think it’s just Hindus, look next door at Burma and Sri Lanka, both of which have cracked down on attempts by Christian missionaries to convert their people. This is like defining free speech as the right to make others agree w/ you

I was just pointing out that hindutva ideology is anti Christian. Also you can’t blame Christians for spreading the Gospel which majority of Indian Christians do. You are getting upset because I pointed out the bad things of the hindutva ideology to the Western audience like Robert Spencer who seemingly think that we are on the same team because we are anti Islam.

The Hindutva movement is anti missionary, not anti Christian. You can’t blame people from being upset when you go up to them and claim that they worship false gods. In the past, Western missionaries would try to preach it, & fail due to a communication gap in the language. So they outsourced it to local Indian converts, who then did weird things like “Hinduize” Christ & make him look like a Hindu deity. Which would be fine, except as the cited article mentions, the new converts are then asked to, as a rite of passage, desecrate the icons of their “previous” deities, in the process treading on the religious sentiments of those who still believe in them
As far as Robert goes, I don’t think he’s unaware of this: when he’s appeared on video shows w/ Nupur J Sharma and Sanjay Dixit, either the hostess or other viewers have raised this issue of Christian missionary activity. So I don’t think there’s much of an illusion that everything is hunky dory b/w Hindus and Christians in India, although most Christians in the West may probably think that the fault is w/ the Hindu side

India is a democracy where if a person wants to convert to any religion he can convert. Also the hindutva ideology is not anti missonary but anti Christian. Savarkar founder of hindutva considered Islam and christianity to be alien to indian culture. The organization might have softened their tone now, but the followers have not. Robert spencer might be aware about this but his western audience is not.

I prefer the term “muslim trafficking”, given that it’s not just rape, but sometimes, after marriage, they pass around the bride to other male members of the family – father-in-law, brother-in-law, cousins, uncles…. Essentially, a muslim “family” there is a glorified brothel (sorta like the islamic afterlife, but w/ just 1 hoor instead of 72, who’s the same size and not 11 times larger than the muslim. It also fits like a jigsaw the description of muslims abducting non-muslim girls and trading them to ISIS & other jihadist organizations like human trafficking operations
