The recent rape of a French woman, identified only by her first name, Mégane, by a Muslim migrant, Oumar Ndiaye, was particularly brutal, leaving the victim in a month-long coma. Now she is out of the coma, but still in critical condition. A dozen French protesters recently stood silently outside Ndiaye’s home, holding signs to protest the fact that despite 17 previous offenses, Ndiaye had remained free — and while free, had committed his rape. Now it is those protesters who face prosecution; they face up to five years in prison for taking part in a silent protest. More on this potential miscarriage of justice can be found here: “French activists face up to 5 years in prison for protesting outside house of migrant accused of brutal rape of 29-year-old Mégane,” by John Cody, Remix News, September 13, 2023:
After a migrant allegedly raped a French woman so brutally with a broomstick that she was forced into a month-long coma, two dozen right-wing protestors marched outside his home in Cherbourg, France. However, at least half of them are now facing criminal prosecution and up to five years in prison for an “unauthorized gathering” and for “promoting self-defense” despite the French government’s glaring inability to protect its own citizens….
The suspected rapist, Oumar N., is now in pre-trial detention for sexually assaulting Mégane. The suspect gave her such grievous wounds when he raped her with a broomstick that she nearly died. Emergency workers, including hospital staff, reportedly broke down in tears while treating the woman and some needed psychological counseling.
These two dozen protesters were not violent. They didn’t threaten anyone, they didn’t shout. All they did was hold up a sign — “The state doesn’t protect us. Get ready!” — and a photograph of Oumar Ndiaye. Why did such a peaceful gathering need to be “authorized”? And what is wrong with “promoting self-defense” in the absence of sufficient protection by the state? In the case of Oumar Ndiaye, it was the state’s negligence that allowed him, after committing 17 criminal offenses, many of them violent, to still roam free, and thus he was able to assault his latest victim, Mégane.
The demonstration, which took place on Sept. 9, 2023, in the Provinces district, was on behalf of 29-year-old Mégane, who awoke from her coma but remains between life and death. The French government may have special reason to pursue Argos, the right-wing group that organized the protest, as the group is the direct heir to the French group Génération identitaire, which was banned by the government in 2021. Génération identitaire became a thorn in the government’s side after it ran a series of civil disobedience protests against the state of demographic transformation in France and the government’s failures to control illegal immigration.
The French government has decided to treat any group that is opposed to the Muslim invasion of France as “right-wing” and a threat to the state. In this case the group that organized the small, silent protest was Argos, supposedly the ideological heir to another group, Génération identitaire, that had been banned by the government in 2021. What was Génération identitaire’s crime that caused the statte to shut it down? It dared to organize civil disobedience protests against the demographic transformation of France – that is, against the inexorable growth in the Muslim population, and to protest as well the failure of the French state to stop the massive illegal immigration by Muslim economic migrants. As Génération Identitaire’s complaints were unanswerable, the Macron regime, instead of engaging with its complaints, simply banned it. And It now appears, exercising one’s free speech rights — with a single banner– as a member of Argos will also be treated as a criminal offense.
The Argos group posted about their action on X, writing:
Argos supports Mégane and her family as she comes out of a coma.
Is this the kind of speech that should be banned? It’s a simple statement, posted online, of sympathy and solidarity with the victim of a particularly atrocious crime. Or is it because Oumar is a Muslim that special rules to protect him from protests, however mild, in person or online, must be applied? Argos continued:
Savagely attacked and raped by Oumar N. last August, Mégane finally came out of the coma today but remains in a fragile state. The Argos activists therefore went to the hospital in Cherbourg where she is being treated in order to show her our support. A donation was also made via a fund set up recently.
In a society where the state and Justice do their job, Mégane would not have had to suffer the barbarity of Oumar. In a society where young people do not have such a wait-and-see attitude, Oumar could not have committed these crimes. Support for Mégane,
People’s Self-Defense for our own!
A dozen of the activists were arrested after holding up banners that read: “The state doesn’t defend us, get ready,” and placards featuring a photo of the suspected rapist. The youngest arrested from the group is 18 while the oldest is 28. They were taken into police custody and held for 48 hours. All of the activists used their right to remain silent, according to French media outlet Ouest France.
The prosecutor in the case is apparently taking issue with the group’s calls for self-defense, despite the state being increasingly unable to defend its citizens.
Why are these young people being prosecuted? For standing quietly in a vigil outside Mégane’s hospital, holding up a banner in support of Mégane, the victim of an atrocious crime, including anal rape with a broomstick, that left her in a month-long coma, and even now she remains in critical condition, “hovering between life and death.” No, they are being prosecuted for the banner they held up outside Ndiaye’s house that — it needs to be repeated — simply called into question the willingness and ability of the French state to protect its citizens, stating “the state doesn’t defend us, get ready.”
“You are appearing for having, through speeches made at an undeclared demonstration, incited willful harm to a person’s integrity by calling for self-defense,” stated Pierre-Yves Marot, the public prosecutor. He announced that five members of Argos were first arrested by the police and another seven were taken into custody inside a vehicle shortly afterwards.
How does a call for “self-defense” become an “incitement to cause willful harm” to someone — that someone being the rapist Oumar Ndiaye? Did the protestors call for violence against Oumar Ndiaye or anyone else? They called only for the people of France to be prepared to defend themselves as the state was doing such a poor job of doing so.
The French state is treating as criminals the very people who only want that state to deal effectively with the real criminals, such people as Oumar Ndiaye who, despite 17 criminal offenses, including incestual rape, was still walking freely on the streets of Cherbourg, and thus able to commit his latest atrocity. They did not call for vigilante justice against Ndiaye, but only for people to recognize that, given the laxity of the police and the criminal justice system, they must be prepared to protect themselves. Why should that ever be a crime?
Ray Jarman says
The statement, “despite the French government’s glaring inability to protect its own citizens….” should have read the French government’s refusal to protect is own citizens. I find this completely inexcusable as Thomas Hobbes pointed out in his “Leviathan,” that the primary purpose of any government, is to protect the individual from his neighbor. To charge citizens for protesting and apprising fellow citizens of a criminal is beyond the pale.
The sad truth is that most western governments today don’t give a damn about is own citizenry but then again it is the same electorate that repeatedly re-elects these traitors.

Arrested for “promoting self-defense_”
Coming to a neighborhood near each of us who find the evil too much to sit silent.
the gov of NM declared “an emergency’ based on the number of crimes committed in one city and said she was taking away all gun rights….concealed and otherwise.
These French people, standing up for their rights get arrested, while the gov laments the death of a hoodlum from the moxlum ranks who tried to kill a police officer and the officer accidently shot him.
It’s irony that they call these people “far-right” when they are constantly treating them as being in the “wrong.”

Somehistory,
The more the French (people), or for that matter any Westerner tightens his or her belt against the gross injustices and crimes committed by immigrants, the more will be the pushback from the govt. Nowadays riots are a common occurrence, looks like there might be mini civil wars followed by total civil war. Ms. Truss recently said that she is proud of being a woke. Such is the level of Narcissism in the leaders.

“The French government may have special reason to pursue…..” anyone who objects to vile, murderous savages? And The Great Replacement is just a conspiracy theory?

And to be clear, I don’t think it’s a racial issue, despite the endless talk. They seem to want to foment war that will reduce world population and break legal strictures that restrain them. I think they want a reliable war-ready, fear-inducing army anywhere people have legal rights. Not a racial issue, but a matter of exercise of power.

Those who, like j kerry, think of themselves as the “elites,” want to reduce world pop to under a million. They are using every means they can think up to do that.
Jabs, gain-of-function, starvation due to food shortages and high prices, war, bringing in the hordes of violent, murderous mozlums, and taking away any kind of weapons and the use thereof on the part of ordinary citizens.
They have those implants that actually read a person’s thoughts so they can know who are behaving as they want us all to, and who are keeping sane thoughts of knowing our God-given rights. Like the demo of the workers and the woman who had romantic ideas about a co-worker. They have it all mapped out and are implementing it.

I’ve heard no further news of the explosion of the Georgia Guidestones, which set the target at 500M.
somehistory says
That could be their target number. They probably have counted so many slaves per each elite and a few extras in case some slaves rebel and have to be eliminated.
Whatever the number, they have a target and goals to reach in any way they can.
Btw, did you see that their new jab costs around $200. per? Lot of people who would get it, won’t. I didn’t get the free ones; certainly wouldn’t spend money to be poisoned.

Promoting the need for self defence demonstrates that the government has/is failed in it’s contract to protect the populace from harm.
No government will allow that knowledge to become known and how dare anyone point this out in a public forum.
This is the same as the failures in Demoncrat run hell holes around America.

I remember, many years ago, when the French were so adamant to preserve the French language that nothing else was permitted on billboards or spoken in public offices. Now the entire nation, culture, and language is being colonized by Islam and even the French African “colonies” are rebelling. No uranium for you!
Hiding the problems that Islam brings by prosecuting those who highlight it, will end poorly, and likely with chaos. How long before the tourist trade stops for safety concerns and Africa rejects France?

I don’t know exactly but I think that in France a regular citizen can’t carry a gun for self defense. And in France lots of crimes are happening in small towns and that song from american musician Jason Aldean comes to my mind – Try That In a Small Town. In Europe these sick supremacist racist pedophile muslims do what crime they want anywhere anytime and are protected by the state.

This is one of the most disheartening stories I’ve read in a while.
Look what happens when you give up your right to self-defense.
The French, Germans, British, Irish, Swedish and others have already conceded their right to self-defense and therefore any real resistance to the invasion being foisted on you by globalist scum.
America must once again become the light of liberty in a world of tyranny if we hope to succeed.

biden has appointed some gun control person to make a national plan for gun control. Some idiot woman says doing that will make their goals reachable. (my words for what she said)

Easy solution. ‘Convert’ to Islam and visit the same actions upon oumar. You’ll be out in a jiffy and the Islamic community will tear itself apart looking for the apostates.

Sadly it appears that the criminals are better protected from punishment for crimes against the rest of society, than we are from criminals. Criminals violate are rights and the law protects theirs at are expense.
And when they are found guilty of a crime they get a slap on the hand and turned loose to do it again and again. If there is no punishment what is the point of arresting criminals? The punishment for criminal activities should be severe enough to discourage the bad behavior.
