The number of asylum seekers in Germany rose again in August compared to the previous month. As the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (Bamf) announced on Thursday, 27,738 initial applications for asylum were registered in August.
In July there were 23,674 initial applications, in June 23,194. Compared to July, the number of first-time asylum applications in August rose by 17.2 percent.
In August, as in the two previous months, most asylum applications were made by people from Syria, Turkey and Afghanistan. According to the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees, 204,461 initial applications for asylum have been made so far this year. In the current year, the Federal Office has decided on 175,474 asylum procedures.
If you add the 15,655 follow-up applications, a total of 220,116 people applied for asylum in Germany between January and August. The number of initial applications jumped by 77.2 percent compared to the same period last year, when 115,402 initial applications were made. As the Bamf further announced, 15,897 of the initial applications in 2023 related to children born in Germany under the age of one year.
People from Georgia made 674 initial applications for asylum in August. The number of applications from Georgia is declining – in July it was 823. The federal government wants to add Georgia and Moldova to the list of safe third countries, but the Greens and some Social Democrats are skeptical about the plan.
How many asylum seekers does Germany have to prepare for this year? The migration researcher Judith Kohlenberger from the Vienna University of Economics and Business told the Tagesspiegel that forecasts are difficult because conflicts outside the EU that are decisive for the flight often arise spontaneously. However, it is quite conceivable that individual countries in the EU could also register increased arrival numbers in late summer and early autumn. For Germany, it cannot be ruled out that more than 300,000 asylum applications will be registered this year.
Kohlenberger explained that more and more refugees are currently arriving on the Italian island of Lampedusa. This could also result in increased secondary migration towards Germany. Secondary migration means that migrants move on to other EU countries like Germany, although arrival countries like Italy are actually responsible for processing the asylum applications.
Kohlenberger, meanwhile, demands that Germany should not participate in the “race to the bottom” that other EU countries such as Denmark have started to lower asylum standards. It would make more sense if the federal government advocated sanctions at EU level, for example against the Hungarian government, which has suspended the asylum rules….

As the “migrants” just keep on “migrating,” the nations government’s which are inviting, welcoming, encouraging the flow, should just figure on all mozlums leaving wherever they currently live in mozlum dominated lands, moving to where they are.
Leave no mozlum behind….move them all to the EU nations which are saying ‘come on in,’ and to the other nations around the world doing the same.
How many mozlums are there still in mozlum nations? Just count them all and see what the % of increase is then. No need to try to keep figuring it out. Time can be saved by counting them where they are and then adding that number to how many have already “migrated.”

When will western countries wake up to the fact that islam is incompatible with the way of life and the basic vlues of western countries? Muslims are not interested in getting along peacefully with non-Muslims and never have been. They want to impose barbaric, primitive islam on everybody. These Lefty morons are laying the groundwork for a massive civil war in the future. Germans and Europeans in general already had rape and other criminal issues with the Muslims who entered legally before this whole migrant invasion started.
Bringing in more Muslims when you already had a massive Muslim problem is like pouring gasoline on a fire. So one can only imagine the hellhole they’ve created esp. for women/children.
I’m sure we’ll hear of the daily horrors they experience because of Muslims in a few years, assuming the media even dare to report it…lest it’s censored-because the ruling elite scumbags don’t want to pay the price for wrecking their nations.
We’ve had some migration here in Canada and Muslims are becoming more prominent in criminal activity but thankfully it’s not the huge disaster that’s going on in Europe.
To think it was completely avoidable, they simply had to shut their borders and they’d continue to have relative peace and it would’ve been easier to deal with the smaller number of Muslims they already had.
Well sometimes all you can do is sit and watch and hope they’re able to get themselves out of this mess they created.
It’s going to cost Germany a lot to get rid of them…unless you have a strong leader who cuts them off financially and sends them all back.
The scenes of rioting and chaos we’ve seen in France by Muslims is just a taste of what is to come…they don’t have enough cops to deal with all the millions of invaders they have in Europe. It’s going to get very ugly over the next few years.
About the only way out of it will be to vote in anti-Islamic parties…but the window for peaceful change through politics is closing for them…esp if they give these migrants the right to vote/sway elections.

As you say, Fitna, this disaster was avoidable if only enough people had woken up and realised how vile and evil and totally incompatible islam is and slammed the door shut on the Muslim invasion. From my point of view, I am amazed that almost eveyrbody hasn’t woken up by now. Years ago, when the trouble that Muslims always cause was becoming clearer and clearer in Australia and elsewhere, I used to think that we needed Muslim Arab oil so that must be the reason that we keep letting Muslims into the country and maybe they would stop selling us the oil we needed if we shut the door on Muslim migration. Maybe that is the reason. I think that the real reason is that far too many idiots still can’t face up to the truth about islam. Muslims obviously want to impose islam on everybody and I keep thinking how islam is full of barbaric garbage and how hideous life would be if islam was imposed on civilised people. What a disaster that would be. From this report, the Germans seem to be speeding into that disaster. France also, as you say, james, is the canary in the cola mine. OLD GUY, you are probably right that some of the traitors are taking Muslim oney to sell out their countries.
