It looks as if these Syrians had no concern whatsoever, at least initially, about the possibility that they might suffer any negative consequences for publicizing what they had done. How did they get this idea?
“Arrest of a 22-year-old Syrian man for kidnapping and beating a national guard in Chloraka – Two other persons are wanted,” translated from “Σύλληψη 22χρονου Σύρου για απαγωγή και ξυλοδαρμό εθνοφρουρού στη Χλώρακα – Καταζητούνται άλλα δύο πρόσωπα,” by Dora Christodoulou, Φile News, August 31, 2023:
After the serious incidents of criminal acts in Chloraka, the noose is tightening around all those involved in illegal activities, locals and foreigners, in the low-lying area of Paphos.
Since Wednesday night, the Police has made its presence more than noticeable in areas outside of Chloraka, which are well known to be gradually turning into ghettos of irregular immigrants, but also of the masterminds behind criminal acts, such as burglaries and thefts and trafficking drugs.
In this context, a very strong police force occupied Empa this evening and today, after Chloraka. Dozens of police vehicles and motorcycles, with a large number of human resources, create an unusual image on Empas Avenue and the passage to Tremithousa from the Empas side.
Marking the change of data and instilling a sense of security and well-being, the large police force conducts preventive pedestrian checks, vehicle checks and motorized patrols in various areas in Empa, Tremithousa and Chloraka. Already, as part of these checks on Wednesday night, seven drivers were identified and reported in whose vehicles aggressive instruments were found or were positive in drug tests.
It is the first time that the police have gathered such strong forces in the northernmost areas of Chloraka, and this was done after the start of the operation to restore legality in the latter; it is estimated that there are hundreds of illegal aliens and other people with criminally hellish activity who have relocated to Eba and Tremithousa, in order to get out of the scope of the authorities.
In the meantime, it seems that the case of the kidnapping of a national guard by Syrians was not fake news, as initially leaked by the competent authorities. On the contrary, the police proceeded on Wednesday night to arrest a 22-year-old Syrian in relation to the case. This is essentially the person who brought attention to the case by posting photos and information on social media, while the police are looking for two other Syrians who took part in the kidnapping and the alleged beating of the national guard, who did not file a complaint due to fear.
At the same time, the police released the photos of 13 other suspects for participation in Sunday’s serious incidents in Chloraka. These are people who are in addition to the six people whose photos were released in the previous days.
“’10 Syrians with knives kidnapped an 18-year-old National Guard in Chloraka – He lived through nightmares’ – Police are investigating,” translated from “«10 Σύροι με μαχαίρια απήγαγαν Ε/κ 18χρονο Εθνοφρουρό στη Χλώρακα – Έζησε εφιαλτικές στιγμές» – Διερευνά η Αστυνομία,” Omega Live, August 30, 2023:
A post that has been shared from user to users of the internet in the last few hours is under the microscope of the police, as reported by secure sources from the police.
The post in question was made 14 hours ago by a journalist and has since gone viral.
Among other things, it is reported that an 18-year-old national guardsman, while walking carelessly in Chloraka, was abducted by 10 Syrians with knives and lived through nightmarish moments at their hands.
According to the post, our 18-year-old compatriot was taken by the Syrians to a remote area, while the entire incident was videotaped by the Syrians and posted on social media.
However, as reported, shortly afterward, the video was deleted from social media. The police, as mentioned above, have noticed the post and are investigating the online complaint.
It should be mentioned that the police investigation is being conducted ex officio without any official complaint before them so far.
Police sources say there is “reasonable suspicion” that the incident took place.
Same post:
“An 18-year-old Greek Cypriot soldier lived nightmarish hours at the hands of furious Syrians last night. According to information, the young man was spotted walking alone in Chloraka at the time of the incidents.
About ten Syrians, armed with knives and issuing death threats, kidnapped him and took him to a secluded beach in Chloraka. According to the same information, the foreigners (according to other poor immigrants) tortured him, beat him repeatedly in different parts of their body and even recorded the horror by uploading videos to Tik Tok.
After some time, they deleted the video, fearing arrest. In the video, the Syrians, brandishing knives, threatened to kill the soldier and the victim begged for mercy.
As far as I can tell, the young man’s body bears injuries while he is still in a state of shock. So far, the case has not been reported to the police.”

Typical islamic invasion that has been going on for 1440 years. When will the world stop such a brutal political move? I hope it is not too late.
