The declaration comes at a time when Sweden and Denmark have been considering banning Qur’an burning protests, but then came this news:
Sweden’s government has no plans to make sweeping changes to freedom of speech laws but repeated it would look into measures that would allow police to stop the burning of holy books in public if there was a clear threat to national security.
Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson declared of Qur’an burning: “it can be awful but still lawful.” A few days ago, Kristersson said he was “extremely worried” as more challengers to the Sharia applied for permits to burn the Qur’an. Sweden is faced with escalating jihad threats, which should be met with a zero-tolerance crackdown.
As the crisis unfolds, Sweden has now opted to uphold its laws and “strengthen border and internal controls and give police wider authority to stop and search people as a result.” The frenzied reaction over Qur’an burnings and the doubling-down on demands from the OIC to bully Western countries into conformity with the Sharia should cause people in the West to pause to consider the consequences of the vast numbers of unvetted Muslim migrants flowing into the West who do not share Western values. The recent upheaval in France should serve as a warning.
“Sweden to boost security measures amid Quran burning crisis,” Al Arabiya, August 1, 2023:
Threats to Sweden have increased after recent Quran burnings, the country’s government said on Tuesday, adding that it would strengthen border and internal controls and give police wider authority to stop and search people as a result.
Sweden and Denmark have seen a string of protests in recent weeks, in which copies of the Quran were burned or otherwise damaged, prompting outrage in Muslim countries and demands that the Nordic governments put a stop to the burnings.
More Quran burnings took place on Monday and both countries said they were examining ways to legally limit such acts in a bid to deescalate tensions.
Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson said the security situation in Sweden was complex, not least because of its delayed accession to NATO. The government would temporarily ramp up internal security and border controls, giving police wider authority to stop and search people, he said.
He also urged people to use the freedom of speech responsibly and respectfully.
“In a free country like Sweden, you have a great deal of freedom. But with that great degree of freedom comes a great degree of responsibility,” Kristersson told a news conference.
“Everything that is legal is not appropriate. It can be awful but still lawful. We try to promote a respectful tone between countries and peoples.”
On Monday, the 57-nation Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) convened in an extraordinary session to discuss the recent developments and strongly condemned the Quran burnings.
The organization called upon member states to take appropriate action,…

Why they call Satan’s handbook of misogyny and insanity”Holy” is beyond me.
PRCS says
Depends upon who “they” are.
I can understand why Muslims call it the Holy Qur’an.
But why “filthy unbelievers” do so is beyond me, too.
maria says
Because muslims and their quran are satanic.
Quran is the twin of hitler´s Mein Kampf.

Why can’t western countries just realize Islam is their professed & mortal enemy, that it will always try to order them about despite their own laws and that it aims to eventual conquer through violence, intimidation and demography?
Forget the smiles of “peaceful Muslims”, end all Muslim immigration, deport law breakers, close militant mosques and stop the building of new ones. It’s a matter of survival.

exactly! Don’t you wonder why Bernie Sanders seems to praise the Muslims? Why our Congress have congressional Muslims that hate America and support Palestinians terrorist?

It kind of boils down to: If they ask nicely, and I refuse, do they kill me?
mozlums don’t ask, nicely or otherwise. mozlums demand and threaten.
People in government should recognize this and stand behind their citizens who want to express their contempt for the evil book of filth.
mozlums daily express their *feelings*….they demand respect; they riot; they rape; they murder. All hurtful actions.
And they want to deny to others the right to express a feeling of disagreement and/or a feeling of disgust …non-violent burning of a book or telling the Truth….by demanding complete obedience to their demands.

Great comments from Tatanka, PRCS,
ChrisFromCincinnati, and somehistory.
My thought is that Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland (aka Scandinavia) should not back down at all to any Muslims.
If life was so great in the countries these Muslim immigrants came from, why did they leave? I know why: they came as “missionaries” to try to convert people to Islam. That is the #1 reason! But, if these migrants get all kinds of monetary benefits from the Scandinavian governments, that would be a distant 2nd reason to immigrate.
I hope all of you who read and comment on
JihadWatch.org will write a brief letter to the Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson or any of the other Scandinavian Prime Ministers and let them know that you support free speech and freedom of religion
everywhere, and that you do not want to see Scandinavian countries cave in to the Islamic mentality like France is now doing.

The primary reason for European nations to maintain embassies in nations such as Iraq, Syria and others that have or plan to revoke relations with them is to provide unearned hand-outs. I would make a fairly hefty bet that Sweeden actually provides more money to these degenerate states than any of their manufacture’s such as Volvo manage to sell.

The Operator on TikTok asks, if the long lines of military-aged muslim men are fleeing war, why are they leaving their families behind?
He answers himself, men fleeing war take their families. Men going to war leave their families behind.

Common knowledge which seems not to be so common, esp where mozlums are concerned.

It’s a hard lesson coming. If only these denialists took all the pain.

Yes, much like kids suffering from the *sins* of their fathers.
Everyone has to help pay the price for stupidity.

Slight omisslon in this PM’s statement. It can be ‘awful’ – TO SOME PEOPLE (but not others) – but it is (of course) lawful.
