Four of Sweden’s leftist political parties are trying to oust Sweden Democrats MP Richard Jomshof as chairman of the justice committee over a statement he made about Islam:
I agree that we need a “broader dialogue,” a dialogue about how we democratize the Muslim world. Or why not a dialogue about Islam, this anti-democratic, violence-advocating and misogynistic religion/ideology, founded by the warlord, mass murderer, slave trader and robber Muhammad?

Four of Sweden’s leftist political parties are demanding to be given a vote to oust populist Sweden Democrats MP Richard Jomshof from his position as chairman of the justice committee over remarks he made about Islam, which they claim puts Swedish security at risk. The Social Democrats, Centre Party, Greens, and Left Party have all called for the resignation of Jomshof….
Ardalan Shekarabi, the legal policy spokesperson for the Social Democrats and deputy chairman of the Justice Committee, stated at a press conference, “Richard Jomshof cannot remain as chairman of one of the most important committees in the Swedish Parliament, in this serious security situation, while at the same time contributing to escalating the situation.”
Last year, Ardalan Shekarabian met with an Ahmadi delegation from Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya Sweden to discuss “true Islam.” This was a dawah mission. Islamic proselytizing is often practiced by Ahmadis, a peaceful minority sect that is harshly persecuted by Sunni Muslims in Pakistan and Indonesia. In Pakistan, Ahmadis are not even allowed to say they are Muslim. See HERE and HERE. The agenda of the meeting with Shekarabi was “to introduce the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community locally and globally.” The Ahmadis view their own sect as the true face of Islam, and so they hide the truth about normative Islam, which has caused trouble for non-Muslims for 1,400 years.
Before addressing Jomshof’s comment, it is important to establish some background and context. His remark cannot be judged in isolation. Jomshof “was responding to a call for ‘greater dialogue’ from Tahir Akan, chair of the Swedish Muslim Association, over how to deal with activists burning the Quran.” Tahir Akan likely elicited an adverse reaction from Jomshof. Akan has called for the Muslim community to “unite and advance its fight against anti-Muslim prejudice academically and legally” in the face of Qur’an burning. One must remember that Sharia is regarded as divine and supreme in Islam, and its penalty for blasphemy is death (cf. Qur’an 6:93, Sahih Bukhari 59:369, Sahih Bukhari 4:241). So is Akan commanding Muslims to “unite and advance their fight” in the face of Qur’an burnings in accordance with Western laws, or with Sharia?
Tahir Akhan has also criticized Sweden for “systematic racism,” despite Sweden’s record of open-door mass migration of predominantly Muslims, which has virtually destroyed the peace that Sweden once enjoyed. Here’s a brief picture of how Sweden’s open-door policy has been haunting the country, long before the Qur’an burnings began:
That Sweden has become one of Europe’s most violent countries has finally attracted international attention. The French newspaper Le Monde lamented “Sweden’s powerlessness in the face of organized violence.” The paper quoted Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson from the Moderate Party stating that the situation is “uncontrollable” and may “get worse before it gets better.” Kristersson labelled the dozens of criminal gangs in Sweden “domestic terrorists.”
Yet Tahir Akhan wears Muslim victimhood like a badge and has demonstrated that he has little to no interest in Sweden as a free society that allows for opposing viewpoints. He advocates for Muslims only, and advances the claim that “the group that suffers most from this general trend” of “systematic racism” is “the Muslim community.”
As it stands, anyone who offends the sensibilities of Muslims is ostracized from the political sphere and canceled, or at very least marginalized. Jomshof was enunciating the desperation that many Swedes feel, both as as a result of soaring crime and the jihad threats that have been directly linked to Muslim migration — especially now in the face of the Qur’an desecrations. Even Sweden’s Leftist former Gothenburg mayor Ann-Sofie Hermansson said last month: “I should have put more effort into fighting Islamism.”
The main reason why four of Sweden’s leftist political parties are trying to oust Jomshof is because they claim that his comments put “Swedish security at risk.” Their stated concerns align with exactly what prompted Jomshof’s comments: the violent threats from Muslims that have been shaking Sweden’s society to the core.
Islam has proven to be a big problem in Sweden, and is now heavily encroaching on its freedoms (and those of other Western countries). The biggest questions that should arise in the face of Jomshof’s comments should be: what prompted them? What part of Jomshof’s comments are actually wrong, given the context? But the feelings of terror at the mere thought of scrutinizing Jomshof’s points causes his leftist opponents to wither in fear. Islamic supremacists for years have been using the “Islamophobia” subterfuge to hide Islam’s historic and ongoing modus operandi. If one claims that Jomshof was disrespectful and offensive, that is a different question altogether, than that of whether his words have merit.
The main issue is Islam’s continued expansion into the West. Considerations regarding Johmsof’s remark:
- Is Islam or the Sharia anti-democratic?
- Does Islam advocate violence, based on history, the texts of the Qur’an and Hadith, the current and historic persecution of minorities and treatment of dissidents in Islamic countries, and some Muslims’ reaction to insult?
- Is Islam misogynistic, based on the Sharia, including commands for female coverings (Quran 24:31, 33:59), male guardianship (Qur’an 4:34), divorce and property laws?
- Is the Islamic religion and ideology, founded upon the Qur’an and Sunnah, based upon Muhammad’s command to strike terror in the hearts of the perceived foes of Allah (Qur’an 8:12, 8:60)?
Why is Sweden’s security now shaken to the core, enough to prompt Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson to admit that he was “extremely worried” amid escalating jihad threats?
Jomshof’s comments have merit. It is noteworthy how successful the “Islamophobia” subterfuge has been: any statement that is remotely critical of Islam is scrutinized, judged, condemned, and punished, while all too many Muslims get away with literally anything, including widespread rioting such as was seen in Pakistan on Wednesday. It is beyond time to have a discussion about Islam without the threat of the “Islamophobia” battering ram. Western democracy depends on it.

Richard Jomshof was right in the second part of his statement pretty much describing islam. The first part – democratizing the muslim world – is impossible, as the US found out in Afghanistan and largely Iraq, due to islam itself. Nobody should even try that. Just keep muslims out of all non-muslim lands, and let them stew in their own juices

The posture of injured “sensibilities” is bogus. The real message is the threat of violence. Islam has extremely cruel features — beheadings by sword or more slowly by knife, daughter-killing, stoning, amputations, slavery, wife-beating, throat-slitting of animals without stunning, lashes for drinking alcohol, and so on and so on. For exponents of these cruel insensitive actions to claim that they have “offended sensibilities” is extremely unconvincing.

I agree, David M. Those types of politicians are gutless wonders and are leading their countries down a path to destruction. As the Muslims build their numbers in such countries there will be a huge amount of trouble anyway, so not standing up against islam now is an idiotic option that will not work in the long run. And you are right, they are admitting that islam is a violent religion despite all the bullshit we cop from so many about how islam is basically peaceful. How dumb would a person have to be to think that islam is a peaceful type of religion.
