“A young person died as a Martyr” and was “executed in cold blood” – that’s the way the PA routinely reports on dead terrorists who are killed while attacking Israelis.
If someone is killed while committing a terrorist act, in order to “die as a martyr,” then he cannot at the same time be described as having been “executed in cold blood.” He was killed while in the act of trying to kill others; that does not describe an “innocent victim,” murdered –“executed” — by the Israelis out of savage cruelty. But consistency has never been a feature of Palestinian propaganda. For the Palestinians, one of their own can be at the same time a would-be murderer of Israelis, in order to die as a “martyr,” assured that his family will consequently be well-provided for, and an innocent who, having done nothing to deserve it, is shot down — “executed in cold blood” — by those murderous Israelis.
Such a “young person” shot and wounded 6 Israelis outside a shopping mall in Ma’ale Adumim, east of Jerusalem. The attacker was 20-year-old terrorist Muhannad Al-Mazar’ah. An off-duty Israeli border police officer shot and killed him to end his attack.
Following his death, the PA had to juggle its narratives, simultaneously presenting him both as a victim whom Israel “claimed… shot at settlers,” yet also as a “resistance” member who had intended to carry out an attack and “die as a Martyr” all along.
While a newsreader on official PA TV described the terrorist as “a young person [who] was shot by the occupation and died as a Martyr,” a PA TV reporter colleague appearing in the same news broadcast explained that Al-Mazar’ah had stressed “his intention to die as a Martyr,” and had taken “a step towards the Palestinian resistance“ – a Palestinian euphemism for terror and violence against Israel:
Official PA TV newsreader: “A young person [Muhannad Al-Mazar’ah] (i.e., terrorist) was shot by the occupation and died as a Martyr next to the town of Al-Eizariya, east of occupied Jerusalem… Hebrew media sources claimed that young Al-Mazar’ah shot at settlers at the entrance to the settlement of Ma’ale Adumim… and wounded some of them…
Clearly, al-Mazar’ah was no innocent. He shot at settlers near the entrance to Ma’ale Adumim, wounding six, and having inflicted as much damage as he could on the only “innocents” in this story — his Israeli victims — he did not attempt to flee, but remained, hoping to die as a “martyr.” He got his wish. Possibly he was motivated not only by hatred of the Jews, but also by the assurance that after he was killed — which he was so intent on bringing about — his family would receive generous lifetime support from the P.A.’s “Pay-For-Slay” program. That is quite an incentive to a young Palestinian who sees no other way to provide for his impoverished extended family.

The recording leaves no doubt: a fanatical True Believer, al-Mazar’ah set out on the path of jihad, ready and eager “to die for Him (Allah) and become a Martyr.” He doesn’t want any faction to claim him as their own; he is beyond all of them; he belongs, in his purity, to Allah alone.
He was not an “innocent young Palestinian….executed in cold blood.” He left behind ample evidence that his unshakeable goal was to attack Israelis and “die as a Martyr.” And he achieved both.

Actually, I think that all those Arab conquests started from Damascus, not Mecca/Medina, which didn’t exist at the time as major settlements. The triggering issue here was the theological disputes b/w the Syrian Christians, who did not believe in the divinity of Christ, as opposed to their Byzantine overlords. So they revolted, defeated the Byzantines at Yarmouk & then crushed the Sassanids at Qadisiyyah. They then overran Palestine & Egypt, ensuring that the Byzantines couldn’t attack them from 2 sides

For in this twenty-first century conflict between the Judeo- Christian West and the Islamic East which also has been termed “The war of Ideas” the West needs ideas for its very foundation and defense that is far superior to something as weak and worthless as just “opinion.”
What the West needs is wisdom. As the Bible instructs “Wisdom is better than strength.” Ecclesiastes 9:16. With Light of the Wisdom of Jesus a belief in a “wedding with virgins.” is the outcome of a person accepting as the “truth” an invalid and false.
