All this focus on whether or not Ahmad Al Issa, who murdered ten people in a Colorado supermarket in 2021, is competent to stand trial has overshadowed other considerations regarding his motive. There has been a great deal of argument over whether or not he was an Islamic jihadi, and one unappreciated bit of evidence in this regard is that when he was apprehended, Al Issa was wearing only shorts. Yet he hadn’t entered the supermarket in this state of undress. Why had he taken off his clothes after shooting people?
A clue may come from 9/11 hijacker Mohamed Atta, who packed a fancy suit in his luggage on that fateful day, in anticipation, according to a letter that was also in his luggage, of “marriage” to the “women of paradise,” whom he would encounter “dressed in their most beautiful clothing.” Islam envisions a physical paradise of eternal sex with heavenly virgins. While Atta envisioned some initial formalities necessitating the suit, Al Issa may have had a more direct approach in mind: he was likely anticipating being killed by police and showing up in paradise undressed and ready for action. Once it was clear, however, that he wasn’t going to be killed, he may have begun to feign mental illness in order to avoid prison and be confined to a much more lax mental hospital. After all, “The Prophet said, ‘War is deceit.’” (Bukhari 4.52.269)
This is not idle speculation, as it was clear from his social media accounts, which were scrubbed shortly after his attack, that Al Issa was a deeply religious Muslim who was intensely worried about “Islamophobia.” None of this, however, has been discussed at all in any open forum in connection with his case, likely because far-Left Colorado officials are as concerned about “Islamophobia” as was Al Issa himself, as well as because of the questions about his mental state. Yet it has been common practice for years to classify as manifestations of “mental illness” what are clearly Islamic jihad attacks, and Old Joe Biden’s handlers had every reason not to want a major jihad massacre in the U.S. so soon after their doddering corruptocrat began pretending to be president.
There’s another curiosity about this case: the establishment media routinely and unanimously gives the shooter’s name as “Alissa,” despite the fact that he himself wrote it as “Al Issa” on his Facebook and Twitter accounts. Is the media trying to obscure Al Issa’s Arabic and Islamic identity? “Journalists” wouldn’t do that, now, would they?

DENVER — After months of legal back and forth on his competency to stand trial, that state found the man charged with killing 10 people at a Boulder King Soopers supermarket in March 2021 is competent to stand trial.
The Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS) provided the 20th Judicial District Attorney’s Office with a new evaluation on suspect Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa, which read “the defendant does not currently have a mental disability or developmental disability that prevents him from having sufficient present ability to consult with his lawyer with a reasonable degree of rational understanding in order to assist in his defense or prevents him from having a rational and factual understanding of the criminal proceedings,” a release stated.
He is facing a total of 115 criminal counts, including 10 counts of first-degree murder. In May 2021, eight additional counts of attempted murder were filed in the case.
In December 2021, the suspect was sent to the state mental hospital for treatment and had previously been deemed by a judge mentally incompetent multiple times.
Earlier in March 2022, prosecutors asked the court to bring in their own expert, but that request was denied.

But doctors “concluded that their ‘provisional’ mental health diagnosis of Defendant ‘limits his ability to meaningfully converse with others.'”
In February of 2023, lawyers for the suspect Alissa had schizophrenia with an expert determining he was “approaching catatonia” suffering from symptoms that were resistant to medications, the Associated Press reported….

I think if they can go after the gun manufacturers, they should be able to go after car manufacturers when cars are deliberately used to ram people. Same for rental agencies when their trucks are used. Or Home Depot and hammer manufacturers when hammers are used to attack people.

Query: Minus all other matters, if this person were not a Muslim would he have perpetrated the enormous atrocities he did, regardless of the oft-charade exculpation by way of competency or mental illness for Muslims regularly committing heinous actions in the name of their religion?
Of course this could be asked, let’s see here, of the over 43,000 (yes, over 43,000!) instances of Muslims who have just since 9/11 (never mind the previous some 1400 years) caused huge numbers of death and maiming in the name of their faith. But I digress—though not really.

Imagine placing a higher priority on hiding a man’s religious motivations than saving lives from future would-be Islamic terrorists.
A sane society would objectively ask themselves what caused this man to slaughter 10 other humans. The evidence is very clear-should anyone wish to examine it.
Had they done their basic research they’d realize that Islam is a cult of hate and mass murder. If ‘Al Issa’ bought into this crap, how many other Muslims hold similar views? How many of them might be willing to kill other non-Muslims for the same reward in ‘paradise’?
One would reach the conclusion that as there is no way to know which Muslims will attack us, to be safe, we’d need to ban Islam and deport Muslims.
The irony here is that Saudi Arabia deported 50,000 Pakistanis over the risk of terrorism and nobody batted an eye.
But because they stopped examining these ideas, they’ve ensured more attacks will occur, more innocents will be injured, paralyzed or killed and their families will suffer as well.
This isn’t rocket science and yet we in the West no longer do some basic research to avoid future incidents like this.

I cannot forget the day of the King Sooper’s attack. As I have family and friends in Boulder, until the list of victims was released I could not concentrate on anything else. Then when the list came out and didn’t recognize any of the names on it, I felt guilty about feeling relieved.
Al-Issa was a manager at his family’s restaurant, the Sultan in nearby Arvada, Colorado. When I attempted to find out which mosque he attended from the restaurant (the Sultan is equidistant from mosques in Boulder, Golden and Northglenn) it became clear that a cover-up was underway.
Local Islamic leadership in the Denver area (which, including Anwar al Awlaki “whom an FBI agent stated ‘was at the center of the 9/11 story’) was strongly implicated in 9/11 has been conducting a “charm offensive” that local politicians, “interfaith” crusaders, and the media have embraced and enabled without question. Al Issa’s attack did not fit with that narrative. BTW Al-Issa’s attack was praised in the Al Qaeda newspaper.

If Colorado authorities and the media are willing to cover up the involvement of local Islamic leadership with 9/11, covering up the Islamist motivation in the King Soopers murders is easy to believe.
Perhaps one of the most shocking, cynical, dangerous and cowardly cover-ups in the history of American journalism is the Colorado and especially Denver’s media refusal to investigate and report on the extensive involvement of Colorado based actors in 9/11. While none of the 9/11 hijackers are known to have traveled to Colorado, pre-9/11 communications between bin Laden and Al Qaeda operatives in the US and several Colorado based actors were key to 9/11 including one that the FBI considered at “the heart of the 9/11 story.” Shockingly, while downplaying or ignoring altogether the Colorado connection to 9/11, the media has become a shill for the Denver organization whose members likely played a major role in the event.
After 14 years of pressure, the Obama Administration finally declassified a heavily redacted version of the 28 missing pages of the 9/11 report. The redacted version did not mention names such as Anwar al-Awlaki, that had been mentioned as being in the 28 pages by a 60 Minutes report on the subject. Awlaki, who was born in New Mexico, the son of New Mexico State University professor who had been born in Yemen. Awlaki attended Colorado State University in Fort Collins, where he was President of the Muslim Student Association. He later served as Imam (Islamic minister) at the Denver Islamic Society on Birch Street just south of Evans Avenue.
In the months prior to 9/11 Awlaki left Denver and became the spiritual advisor to two of the 9/11 hijackers that had summered in San Diego and met with three others who were in Fall Church, Virginia and attended the notorious Saudi financed mosque there. It was also reported that Awlaki was in constant contact with the Saudi embassy in the months immediately prior to 9/11. An FBI agent had said that he felt that Awlaki was “at the heart of the 9/11 story.”
When in 2002, al Awlaki attempted to flee the US to avoid answering more questions about 9/11 he was briefly detained at JFK airport in New York, accused of passport fraud before being released to a Saudi government representative. Awlaki then fled to the UK and two years thereafter to Yemen.
While in Yemen, Awlaki joined up with Al Qaeda’s franchise there, known as Al Qaeda on the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP). During Awlaki’s association with AQAP they went on to conduct terrorist attacks throughout the Arabian peninsula that killed Americans, Belgians, Spaniards, South Koreans and hundreds of Saudis and Yemenis. AQAP also trained the underwear bomber and plotted attacks on Jewish community centers in the US using mail bombs loaded into printer cartridges, plotted using smuggled explosive liquids onto US bound airlines. Awlaki was also the spiritual inspiration for the Nidal Hasan, the Army psychiatrist who went on a shooting rampage at Fort Hood, Texas that killed 12 and wounded 31.
Others had reported that among the missing names was Homaidan al Turki, a member of the Saudi royal family who had relocated to Denver, Colorado. Al Turki is currently serving a life sentence in Federal prison for holding an underage Indonesian girl that he had purchased in Saudi Arabia as a slave in his Aurora, Colorado basement. Al Turki also founded a company called “Al Bashir Publications and Translations” that featured the speeches and sermons of Anwar al Awlaki urging Muslims to violence against non-Muslims and especially the US and the West. It is difficult to overestimate the effect of Awlaki’s speeches and sermons had, and even after his death, continues to have in terms of inspiring terrorism.
Even in view of the fact that a significant amount of the 28 pages remained classified, some witting or unwitting Saudi apologists claimed that the redacted portion of the 28 pages “contained no smoking gun” and argued that the matter ought be put to rest. Senator Graham, however, said it did in fact did confirm Saudi government links to the hijackers and that the redacted portions of the 28 pages ought to be released along with the over 80,000 pages from 9/11 investigations.
The FBI also learned that the two Saudis traveled to Washington to attend a symposium hosted by the Saudi Embassy in collaboration with the Institute for Islamic and Arabic Sciences in America, which was chaired by the Saudi ambassador. Before being shut down for terrorist ties, IIASA employed the late al Qaeda cleric Anwar al-Awlaki as a lecturer. Awlaki ministered to some of the hijackers and helped them obtain housing and IDs.
In 1994, well prior to 9/11 and just following the first attack large attack on the World Trade Center, the London based “Advice and Reformation Committee” (ARC), widely considered Osama bin Laden’s publicity office, established a “secure system for communications between Saudi Arabia and London for Osama bin Laden. Incredibly, the system reportedly made use of US Army lines! In the US the system was centered in Denver, Colorado and initially set up by Denver resident Lujain al-Imam, wife of London based Islamic “activist” Mohammad al Massari. The calls are routed from Saudi Arabia to Britain through Denver using “toll free lines established for US servicemen during the Gulf War.”
In addition to al Turki and al Awlaki, other Denver residents suspected of involvement with al Qaeda prior to 9/11 include Khalid al Fawwaz who will later be indicted for his involvement in the 1998 US embassy bombings in Africa. Another is Ziyad Khaleel, vice president of the Denver Islamic Society until 1994. Together with al Fawwaz, Khaleel is suspected of purchasing a satellite phone for Osama bin Laden.
No doubt the one of the reasons that the Denver and Colorado media have ignored the Colorado 9/11 connection has to do with behind the scenes Saudi Arabian money, such as checks written to Denver super law firm BROWNSTEIN Hyatt Farber and Schreck. On its website the Brownstein firm touts its “…deep experience…and political connections” which include hosting major Colorado Republican events. What the website does not disclose is the fact that the Saudi Arabian government pays the firm to fight off the lawsuits of 9/11 victim families and to otherwise lobby on behalf of the Saudis. While BROWNSTEIN is the most prominent of the Saudi apologists in Colorado, it is hardly alone.
Another reason is the gullibility of a media that fears and does not understand the enemy that attempted a decapitation strike on 9/11. Consider that following 9/11 despite his almost undeniable participation in orchestrating the event, Awlaki, still in the US and suspected of playing a pivotal role, made a great show of “condemning” 9/11. His cynical condemnation was taken at face value by the media, with some going so far as to say that Awlaki ought to be listened to and could bring about peaceful co-existence. Consider that when the Denver Islamic Society, where Awlaki and others embarked on their terrorist career decided to conduct a charm offensive by holding “open houses” the media could not have gushed more. Consider that when the story of Awlaki’s fate became too embarrassing to ignore the media attempted to downplay his role in terrorism and even went so far as to make the ridiculous contention that Awlaki’s role in active terrorism did not occur until after 9/11.
