STOCKHOLM, July 6 (Reuters) – The Swedish government is examining whether it could make setting the Koran or other holy books on fire illegal, as recent Koran burnings have damaged Sweden’s security, Justice Minister Gunnar Strommer told Aftonbladet paper on Thursday….
The police denied several applications earlier this year for protests that were set to include burning the Koran, citing security concerns, but courts have since overturned the police’s decisions, saying such acts are protected by Sweden’s far-reaching freedom of speech laws.
Sweden’s minister of justice said on Thursday that the government is analysing the situation and whether the law needs to be changed.
“We have to ask ourselves whether the current order is good or whether there is reason to reconsider it,” Strommer told Aftonbladet.
He added that Sweden had become a “prioritized target” for attacks.
“We can see that the Koran burning last week has generated threats to our internal security,” he said….

Fully agree. If the Swedish Democrats pass this law, make it cover all faiths, including ones like the ancient Norse faiths. And implement it equally: if muslims desecrate synagogues or churches, come down on them like a ton of bricks. In fact, start w/ deportation, since they don’t have a fundamental right to be in Sweden

islam and the western concept of freedom of expression and speech can never co-exist. islam is incompatible with the fundamentals of civilised western countries. One day, the western countries are going to have to wake up to this basic fact. No other bunch of people but the constantly foaming at the mouth, loony, violent Muslims would carry on the way they have over the burning of a book, the Koran. islam and its followers do not belong in any non-Muslim countries. I hope that Sweden does not cave in although I can understand why they are concerned about Muslim terrorist attacks and rioting and all the usual crap Muslims carry on with if Koran burning continues. as for Muslims, they need to grow up and stop behaving like infantile creatures over book burning.

If not for the center-right in Sweden, I think the gov’t would’ve surrendered to Islam already. What a bunch of weak-kneed cowards, their Viking ancestors would be furious at what happened to their nation and they’d deal with Muslims with an iron fist.
On a positive note, the center-Left govt in the Netherlands has collapsed over migrants…so this might give a solid chance for Geert Wilder’s anti-Islam party and the center-right to rule…fingers crossed.
Rasmus Paludan did a huge favor to these countries, firstly by showing how dangerous Muslims are, because they’d attack people over the Quran and secondly, exposing how weak or strong their govt’s are on the issue of freedom of speech/expression.
Hopefully Europeans choose not to commit suicide and hand their nations over to Muslims. I would be shocked and angered if that happens but I won’t be surprised as they’ve been telegraphing weakness to the world for a long time…esp. by doing nothing when the migrants invaded.

I do hope that European countries wake up and toughen up as well, Fitna. On the “Outsiders’ program on Sky News here in Australia this morning, a program I like a lot, the hosts interviewed a Dutch academic, Ralph Schoellhammer about the collapse of the Ruud government and about the general situation in Europe and more conservative governments in Finland, Greece and especially with Meloni in Italy. It runs for 8 minutes 50 seconds and is an interesting overview. i just googled Outsiders and clicked on Outsiders Tv program and the interview is there. You run down the reports they had on the “Outsiers” show today until you get to the one about the collapse of the Ruud government. i know bugger all about computers and probably never will so this is the only way I can tell you to view it. I think it is worth looking at. Good summary of what is happening in Europe.

I’ve also been reading European news articles and seeing other videos to get a feel for what is going on there.
They’re fairly typical, most are Left (or Islamic) leaning, whining about the rise of the ‘far-right’ but at least they mention the truth that people are turning against Leftist policies and are more anti-migrant.
Geert Wilders has made some great speeches in the Dutch parliament denouncing the open-door policies and recounted some terrible stories of what Muslim migrants have done to workers, like one invader at the migrant center threw hot oil on Dutch workers, mutilating them for life.
This violent criminal should’ve been deported on 3 occasions but never was. If he had been deported, that incident would not have happened and Wilders rightfully blamed the govt for that mistake. Ofc there were other examples and I think that’s what eventually brought down their gov’t for not dealing with the migrant problem effectively.
In a way it was pretty clever of Wilders as he was the lynch-pin to the ruling coalition and used the issue of migration to bring the Dutch gov’t down…I think this was his plan all along, to give him a chance at becoming PM when his party rose in the polls.
I hope seeing migrants rioting and burning French cities has given European voters an insight on what will happen to them if they continue to support Leftist gov’ts and that they’ll finally back anti-Muslim, anti-migrant parties.
If they are stupid enough to keep going down the wrong path, then they too will suffer immensely in the years to come. The next 10-20 years will be pivotal for the survival of the West and freedom.
I’m halfway through watching a movie on WW2 bombers, Memphis Belle, and it reminded me of the consequences of making bad decisions in life.
Germans chose to vote for the Nazi party, knowing they were voting for Fascism, and they went on to cause great death, destruction, suffering and enslavement of others. This lead to a backlash with western nations (US, UK, Allies) destroying their country and killing 20 million or so Germans that voted for the Nazis.
So clearly voting isn’t a harmless decision. Those who make bad voting choices can end up paying the ultimate price if they put fascists in power or in our current situation, choosing surrender to a fascist death cult (Islam) rather than to oppose it.
They and their families will pay, most likely by the hands of Muslims at their throats. Perhaps they just don’t see it yet, but that will be the consequence…sadly humans are stupid and never learn from history…until its too late. Hopefully the center-right will be in power and bring us back from the ‘brink of annihilation.’

I feel pretty certain that those riots in France will wake people up to the problems they have imported by being so slack, although in that interview the Dutch academic says something about how other countries will also say, well, we haven’t got the riots like France has, so we must have done things right. Delusional fools. I think that most of the European countries have enjoyed a nice, fairly peaceful life for a long period now and they just want to ignore reality and cruise along continung the peaceful life for as long as possible. Wilders has been around for a long time now and is an admirable type of person although he never quite seems to get enough support to get much power. I remember reading about Wilders,a dn admiring him, ages ago . I look up tons of stuff on google, mostly music on youtube, health info, generaal news and so on. It’s a goldmine of useful info. Never used the youtube code, but I am a lazy old person.
You sound as if you are keeping up with what is going on in Europe a great deal. The people in Europe are going to face huge problems from the Muslim invading hordes, that’s for sure. Australia probably will as well although that gigantic bully, China, is going to be our biggest problem in the near future.

What is a holy book? Who decides? The Quran is an anathema.
While the goal of other religions is happiness (beatitude), the goal of Islam is theocracy. Can’t the Swedes see that? The opposition to the desecration of the Quran is only one of thousands of things that stir the Muslims to violence, because that is how they get theocracy. They have it down; Muslims have Islamic Theocracy in at least 55 countries.
A law that makes burning a Quran will stoke the violence. The Muslims will find another 10 things that will make them violent. The new law ushers in an era where Sweden will have violence on the same level as Nigeria.

This is exemplified by the “Day of Rage” outside the Danish Embassy in London over the Mohammed cartoons. This was arranged and fraudulently orchestrated FOUR MONTHS after their publication. In similar vein there was an assembly with menaces outside Downing Street in London not long after the Charlie Hebdo and Kosher supermarket murders. This was not to express sympathy for the victims: it was to threaten the UK not to mock Mohammed.
