If Faress Mezine had been a young “far right” “white supremacist,” that is, the kind of terrorist that Western authorities frequently claim is a much bigger threat than Islamic jihadis although they’re much harder to find, would the British authorities have been this gentle, understanding, and solicitous? Did they go easy on Faress for fear of appearing “Islamophobic”? What do you think?

A North London schoolboy who started a bomb scare at the O2, writing ‘kill yourself you stupid white filth’ and ‘Long live Al Qaeda’ to the Metropolitan Police, has been spared jail. University student Faress Mezine, 18, of Exchange Close in New Southgate, was labelled ‘immature’ and an ‘idiot’ by his defence lawyer as he appeared at Harrow Crown Court on Wednesday (July 19).
Prosecuting Dipan Varsani told the court how on April 8 2022 Mezine sent multiple direct messages to the Met Police’s Instagram account, threatening to blow up Europe’s biggest music arena in Greenwich. “Multiple messages were sent, one in the Arabic language translated ‘Kill yourself you stupid white filth’. Another said ‘I will bomb the O2 in 13 hours’ and ‘Long live Al Qaeda’,” Mr Varsani said….
Police then tracked down Mezine via an email address linked to his account, but in an interview he suggested “he may have been hacked”.
This meant police had to investigate further, tracking Mezine’s IP address. “They invited him again and he continued to claim no knowledge of it, that was the sum of the final interview,” Mr Varsani said. After Mezine was finally charged, he appeared at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on June 9 2023 and pleaded guilty to causing the bomb hoax.
Defending Cathal Macpartholan said: “His family were completely embarrassed and humiliated as was he. Unfortunately being on these computers, being on phones, elicits even more stupid acts. As we would say in Ireland, he was a total eejit, an idiot. He takes seriously what he did, the amount of police time involved in this. Thankfully it was the ramblings of an immature child.”…
Sentencing Mezine to 12 months in prison suspended for six months with 150 hours unpaid work and a six month exclusion from the O2, Judge Bourne added: “In a moment that dock officer is going to let you walk out of the front door, but you could easily have gone through the back door into custody… Don’t do it again.”

A suspended sentence mean exactly what it says. If you do anything unlawful whilst under that sentence you will go to prison.. Plus there are 150 hours of unpaid work, which given an eight hour day is about 3 weeks but probably longer depending on the type of work imposed.. The alternative would be to send him into a prison where he would be subject not only to sexual molestation but also very likely undesirable to say the least, Islamist influences. Teenagers are stupid I know as I was one! It is a just and wise sentence..

Of course, there is no other reason why Robert Spencer would make these comments. The fact that the safety of the entire Western world is now seriously comprised as a direct consequence of allowing these inbred, totally incompatible Islamic invaders in does not even enter your thoughts it appears. This vile creature should have been removed from the U.K. totally, along with his entire family if that’s what it takes to improve the safety of millions of innocent people. If he’s British born, and cannot be deported heaven help us all that’s all I can say.
I have said for some time now the best way to encourage these incompatible creatures to leave the U.K., and prevent more from beating a path to our shores is to remove all welfare handouts, all free social housing, all access to free NHS care, and state education, as well as taking down the Mosques and Madrassas. Let’s see how willing they are to remain in the U.K. then. Remove all tax payer funding supporting these largely unemployed and unemployable freeloaders.

We as a Christian nation stood by and did nothing to even try and prevent this from happening to our fellow Christians.

Good lord. Robert Spencer and Pamela Geller–peaceful people–have been barred from entering Britain, a supposedly free polity–by successive PMs, not because they might incite violence, but because Jihadists might object. They *still* cannot enter the UK.
Then, your thinking that a suspended sentence is the proper response to a Jihad bomb scare is insanity. 150 hours of community service–as you note, about three weeks–is a more apt sentence for unpaid parking tickets than threats of Jihad violence like this.
And Britain needs to keep its prisons free of Jihad influence–not use this as an excuse to release Jihadists onto the public.
And treating threats of Jihad terror as though they were some sort of innocent teenaged jape is grotesque. Considering three weeks of doing something like picking up trash as a “just and wise” sentence is madness.

Isn’t it odd that neither the defence nor prosecution counsel had English names? We’re noticing this more and more in the UK, but at least the judge’s name suggest that his/her ancestors might have been in the country with Queen Victoria on the throne, although you can’t even bank on that these days. So when it comes to dispensing ‘British’ justice, there might be a huge question mark over exactly how ‘British’ it is – as in, maybe, this case.
