New in PJ Media:
The dethroned king of beers has fallen on hard times. Its short-lived dalliance with fake woman Dylan Mulvaney and implicit endorsement of the Left’s efforts to force us all to accept the trans madness has not only cost Bud Light its position as America’s top-selling beer, but the Drag Queen of beers isn’t even in the top ten anymore. Bud Light is now the 14th-best-selling beer in the United States, and fairly soon, Anheuser-Busch executives will look back fondly at the days when it was as high as 14th place.
The financial news site Benzinga reported Monday that “a recent YouGov survey reveals the decline in Bud Light’s ranking, casting it below competitors like Pabst Bue [sic] Ribbon, Miller Genuine Draft, and Miller Lite.” In a telling indication that Anheuser-Busch and its friends are now pulling out all the stops to save their former flagship brand, Benzinga notes slyly that the grassroots boycott that has led to the unprecedented consumer abandonment of Bud Light is hurting the common man: “This seismic shift in popularity jeopardizes the livelihoods of the 65,000 people whose economic well-being is intricately tied to Anheuser-Busch InBev’s success.”
The upshot of this is that now apparently Anheuser-Busch and Benzinga want us to join Ted Lieu and Adam Schiff in quaffing Bud Light because if we don’t, some people who aren’t woke ideologues or trans exhibitionists will suffer. And yeah, that’s a real pity, but it’s hardly a positive or inspiring marketing come-on. It does, however, look as if Anheuser-Busch CEO Brendan Whitworth is going with it. He has said of the boycott and sales drop that “it’s the impact honestly on the employees that weighs the most on me.”
When someone uses the word “honestly” in that way, it’s usually because he isn’t being honest. Benzinga adds that “Whitworth called on people not to punish the workforce but rather to attribute blame to him.” All right, Brendan. If you want people to believe what you’re saying, then apologize for bringing Mulvaney on and resign. Otherwise, shedding crocodile tears over the peasants you’re going to have to lay off if people keep on avoiding Bud Light is reminiscent of the classic National Lampoon cover from 1973: “If You Don’t Buy This Magazine, We’ll Kill This Dog.” If you don’t buy this watery, inferior beer, we’ll fire some idiot right-wingers just like you.
At the same time, however, Anheuser-Busch won’t even commit to keeping Mulvaney at the far end of a ten-foot pole in the future. While the beer giant “has attempted to downplay Mulvaney’s role in its overall strategy, Whitworth confirmed that the company will maintain its partnerships without making any changes.”

Anheuser-Busch’s entire set of brands is tanking, I have read. I’ve also read that the initial hope was to introduce a perturbation sufficient to shift some contractual obligations. (Apart from Fink input.) With CIA at the helm of the corporation and a woman with such significant connections at the helm of the campaign, it was always difficult to believe the first story that it was all an unknown (to the rest of the company) thrust.
It’s like the initial story on VW diesels that VW put out; that it was a single technician in a back room. We then saw it exposed as German industry-wide, which meant the German and US governments were well aware. A good guy in WV exposed them and now we know.

When we have nothing but digital currency, the corporations will gain government approved access to your accounts and will force you to buy Bud Light or whatever. And, of course, they’ll give kick backs to the politicians who foisted in on US. If they have the audacity to threaten US, they have the audacity to do anything imaginable and some things not imaginable.

It’ll be real funny to see Leftists & woke activists being shamed into drinking Anheuser-Busch beers, regardless of what their personal preferences might be. Even if they get totally wasted, it’ll still not be enough to offset the lost sales ?
Transmaster says
This gigantic shift from Budweiser to other brand is not really a surprise. People drank Bud-Lite simply because they always had. But with the a disgusting transvestite self declared woman Dylan Mulvane they really screwed the pooch. They could have picked Caitlyn Jenner but Alissa Heinerscheid could not have a Republican transgender that would piss off the millions of Tik-Tok fans pf Mulvaney. People switched to other brands, mostly Modelo Especial. Once you taste Modelo beers you realize just how bad Budweiser beers have become. These beer drinkers are not coming back to Budweiser.

I find it shocking (and more than just a little disturbing) how quickly the Bud Lite brand became toxic simply by using a transgendered person in their advertising. Imagine if this had been an important issue . It is frightening how quickly people can be mobbed together in a cause.
࿗Infidel࿘ says
It’s b’cos of the way Dylan Mulvaney has been regularly mocking teenage girls by acting like them, even though he is a man in his 20s That’s why he’s so toxic. As Transmaster pointed out above, Budlight could have picked Caitlyn Jenner as their spokesperson, but Alissa Heinerscheid was determined to make a political point w/ her signing. If any of these companies put in more innocuous trans people who’re perfectly happy to live their own lives but stop invading women’s spaces, there would be no issue
Hoi Polloi says
They’ve since put out 2 w/o Mulvaney (that I’ve seen) that are obviously mocking their customer base.
somehistory says
Being mocked will always convince me. To stay as I am.
Of course, I don’t drink beer, but I know a lot of people who do.
Hoi Polloi says
Mocking people is apparently now considered sound advertising practice.

It’s not the push back they got that shocks me but rather how fast and thorough it occurred. That’s scary.

It’s probably because the vast majority of Americans are just plain tired of the nonsense and being dictated to by those who assume to know what we should all be doing, and expect everyone of us to just shut up and take what is being dished out.
There is a point when people see they are being abused, misused, manipulated, taken for a ride; and they decide enough is enough.
࿗Infidel࿘ says
Aside from what Somehistory noted, it’s also b’cos there are some dozen varieties of beer not touched by this company. Or Coors Lite, which is the other company living dangerously right now. I myself occasionally drink Corona and Blue Moon, but am open to trying out others. This is one of those markets that has plenty of variety, and therefore a buyer’s market
Had this been one of the tech platform companies like Apple, Google or Microsoft, it would have been a different story, since there are just 3 of them and all are very woke

Scary, Rarely? Really? No, inspiring.
Ordinary people have had enough of the entire LGBTQ crap which was determined to be in society’s face day after day celebrating all of its sexual “proclivities.” Asking for tolerance is one thing but expecting, even demanding, active endorsement is quite something else. Or don’t you see any of this?
Indeed, there is something totalitarian about the entire LGBTQ stuff. Guess you don’t see this either.
Hoi Polloi says
I think it’s also the matter of the public tiring in general of the relentless drive to force and restrict speech and putting companies on notice to revisit the old standard of customer vs. supplier. Beer is a choice, not a necessity, so where better to back down the hate speech/re-education mob?
James Lincoln says
Wellington,
Tolerance versus endorsement:
Great point!

It’s not the issue I’m referring to here or how many people are offended by the advert. Rather it’s the speed with which the “protest” moved. Was Bud’s action so totally offensive to enough people to bring it to its knees in just a few weeks? Wow. What power.
It’s that power, so immediately and effectively exercised that’s worrisome.

I am not shocked at all that Bed Bath and Beyond, H E B, Kohl’s, Wayfair, Costco, Walmart…..have dropped My Pillow, after all Mike Lindell has remained loyal to Donald J. Trump, the real President of the Inited States of America.
I know many loons think 2 + 2 = 5, so in 2024, if there is an election, there should be no ballots counted after election day, paper ballots should be the only form of voting and ONLY people who pass a grade 2 math test should be allowed to take part in the final count.

Correction: “Donald J. Trump, the FORMER President of the United States of America”.
James Lincoln says
E T,
You are correct, and Mike Lindell is a true American patriot.
Charles Valenzuela says
Yes. Absolute disgust can cause that.
somehistory says
so these experienced beer makers can go to the other brands which are in a better position than before, and will need additional workforce to keep up.
James Lincoln says
I wouldn’t accept a Bud Light 30 pack – for FREE.
NO THANKS!!!
Wellington says
Seconded, James.

Talk about being unwanted: Kuwait is sending a hundred thousand copies of the evil book of unholy demon filth to Sweden. The Swedes should return all copies, “postage due.” Or burn them all.

What version will they be distributing? If it is the real Qur’an, people will learn the TRUE Islam is vile. As far as the migrants reading, if they are anything like what Justine brought into Canada, the numbers that could not read or write in their own language were staggering.

I wasn’t an American then, but today, looking back, I think we made the wrong call in liberating them. We should have just made a deal w/ Saddam for cheaper oil & no threats to Israel, in exchange for which we look the other way. Even letting him occupy Saudi Arabia: the “reforms” they’re supposedly doing today would have happened some decades earlier, w/ their effete royalty in Uday’s & Qusay’s jails
Hoi Polloi says
If they fill infidel countries with enough copies that we’re tripping over them in the streets, they’ll have an endless supply of defilement claims, and can declare continual war. Seems strategic. Stranger things have happened.
John Allan says
It’s an AMERICAN ‘beer’!
Rest assured … THAT ISN’T a proper beer!
