UK: Pro-Palestinian activists challenge anti-boycott bill on freedom of expression grounds

Two UK-born Palestinian activists have positioned themselves to lead the charge in vehemently challenging the nation’s new anti-boycott bill.

The UK’s right to challenge Israel’s decades-long oppression of the Palestinians through the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement must be protected. So argued two distinguished British-Palestinian activists.

The bill is actually a broad one, intended to stop all foreign agendas. But it has aroused the ire of pro-Palestinian groups everywhere, since BDS (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions) is an aggressive Palestinian drive against Israel.

Those individuals and groups that support BDS against Israeli products view the UK’s anti-boycott bill as an attack on the freedom of expression. But BDS efforts against Israel go well beyond the freedom of speech and expression. BDS is an active campaign aimed at delegitimizing and economically destroying the Jewish state.

BDS is also based on the premise that Israel is an abusive, apartheid state, which is a big lie. Arabs serve in the Knesset, and they are employed and well integrated into Israel’s society. It is the Palestinian Authority, Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Hizballah and the like that promote hatred, the murder of Jews and the annihilation of the Jewish state “from the River to the Sea.” Jews are also not allowed to pray at their historic holy site, the Temple Mount.

The zeal to keep Jews out of the region began long before 1948. As Morton Klein, President of the Zionist Organization of America, explained:

In the seventh century, the Damascus-based rulers of the Umayyad caliphate built up Jerusalem as a counter-weight to the Jews and as a hajj pilgrimage alternative to Mecca, where their political rivals were. This is when the important Muslim shrines, the Dome of the Rock (691 CE) and, later, the Al-Aqsa Mosque (705 CE), were intentionally built on the site of the destroyed biblical Jewish temples –– it was to signify the predominance of Islam.

For anyone who has been paying attention, a pattern is established: a jihad group (usually Hamas) attacks Israelis, Israel strikes back in self-defense, and the Palestinians scream victimhood. Innocent Palestinians die as the jihad groups use their own people (including children) as human shields to increase the numbers of the dead, as the higher numbers are more useful in a never-ending propaganda war.

The “resistance” against the existence of a Jewish state is now a global fight for Palestinians. Recently Iran’s supreme leader, the Ayatollah Khamenei, declared :

The amount of progress that is made on the Palestinian issue will influence the amount of progress that will be made regarding the issues of the Islamic nation.

Iran is the main funder of the Palestinian resistance.

BDS is not a freedom of expression issue. It is a critical part of a jihad war against Israel. The intent is to delegitimize it and continue to weaken it, with the help of Leftist infidels, and ultimately to destroy Israel utterly.
