No, Islam doesn’t allow for the killing of one’s wife. At least not directly. However, when a culture gives divine sanction to wife-beating (cf. Qur’an 4:34), this kind of thing is going to happen: a cultural atmosphere is created in which the brutalization of women is deemed acceptable.
There is domestic violence in all cultures, but only in one does it have divine sanction. Islam doesn’t teach that man may kill his wife, but once you’ve allowed him to beat her, accidents will happen.
The Qur’an teaches that men are superior to women and should beat those from whom they “fear disobedience”: “Men have authority over women because Allah has made the one superior to the other, and because they spend their wealth to maintain them. Good women are obedient. They guard their unseen parts because Allah has guarded them. As for those from whom you fear disobedience, admonish them and send them to beds apart and beat them.” — Qur’an 4:34
Muhammad’s child bride, Aisha, says in a hadith that Muhammad “struck me on the chest which caused me pain, and then said: ‘Did you think that Allah and His Apostle would deal unjustly with you?’” — Sahih Muslim 2127
An another hadith states: “Rifa`a divorced his wife whereupon `AbdurRahman bin Az-Zubair Al-Qurazi married her. `Aisha said that the lady (came), wearing a green veil (and complained to her (Aisha) of her husband and showed her a green spot on her skin caused by beating). It was the habit of ladies to support each other, so when Allah’s Messenger came, Aisha said, ‘I have not seen any woman suffering as much as the believing women. Look! Her skin is greener than her clothes!’” — Sahih Bukhari 7.77.5825
Also, he strangled her. “When you meet the unbelievers, strike the necks…” (Qur’an 47:4)

FAIRVIEW PARK, Ohio (WOIO) – A 59-year-old man accused of killing his wife inside their Fairview Park home appeared in Rocky River Municipal Court Thursday morning.
The judge ordered Mohammed Draz held on a $1 million bond.
Draz allegedly called 911 around 10 a.m. Wednesday after the attack inside the couple’s house in the 21000 block of Westwood Ave.

His attorney will say he misspoke and, somehow, she was choking on a piece of pork….which is forbidden…she pleaded for his help in extracting it from her throat, and it was too late to save her.
Not being a doctor, nor playing one on TV, he didn’t know any maneuvers to cause his beloved to vomit it out.
Failing that, he will be said to be mentally ill.
Did she want a divorce? Did she say, my son is not your son? Did she cook his chicken a little too long? Whatever she did, or didn’t do, say or not say, he snapped and went mental.
It may have been his own face in the mirror that caused him to need some “honor” he couldn’t get.

I have heard that Muslims commit honor killings, for example, if their sister is too Western or dates an infidel. Surely this permissive attitude toward honor killiing is a result of scriptural commandments involving violence against women. Which is allowed or even praised or condoned.
