In the West, the primary imperative is to exonerate Islam and deny the reality of jihad violence. Bishop Wilfred Chikpa Anagbe is having none of it.

(LifeSiteNews) — A Nigerian bishop has raised his voice lamenting and condemning the Islamic persecution of Catholics sweeping the country that “has become a daily occurrence.”
Bishop Wilfred Chikpa Anagbe of the Diocese of Makurdi, Nigeria spoke to Catholic News Agency about the ongoing and escalating violence against Nigerian Christians at the hands of militant Fulani herdsmen in his Benue State region, which he said was a “full-blown realization of the Islamic agenda.”
Referring to a Good Friday attack in April that left 43 dead and more than 40 injured when gunmen raided a school building serving as a shelter for displaced Christian farmers and their families, Anagbe said, “If you see the video, you would just weep. They came and they slaughtered all of them.”
However, the bishop explained, little to no action has been taken on the part of the government, which is predominantly Muslim, to curb or address the violence. “And [with] all this happening, there have been no arrests. The government is not prepared to take action about this … Nigeria is not like the U.S. where you have state police. If anything happens in Benue State … you need a call from the headquarters [in the capital] to let the police look into it. So, if they have not been given any instruction they will not go.”
Lamenting the inaction of the authorities, he said, “So, in this situation, we have been caged, we have nothing to do.”…
Corroborating the NADP report, Bishop Anagbe confirmed that any claim denying the nature of violence as persecution against Christians, such as western claims that the situation is due to climate change and overpopulation, was emphatically not true but “propaganda.”
“They say it’s about climate change; this is not true,” he declared….

As you point out, somehistory, Muslims have been relentlessly murdering non-Muslims, no doubt because the Koran tells them to do so, for the entire 1400 years that islam has been poisoning the human race with its existence. So it is absolute bullshit to blame climate change for the viciousness of Muslims. As the stinking Koran tells Muslims, go and kill the hated non-believers, it is basic islam that is the cause of all the murders.

That’s it alright. All written down so clearly in the Koran. The evidence is all there. I remember being shocked when I first read those quotes from the Koran calling on Muslims to kill non-believers. I think I first read them here at Jihad Watch. I found it shocking that any religion was so evil as to have such content.

I remember similar thoughts, Tim.
The first I had any word on islam was supposedly written by an ex-mozlum. It was in a book about several different religions and each chapter dealt with a different one. I believe that the chapter was actually written by a devout mozlum.
There was nothing in the chapter on islam that was anywhere near what Mr. Spencer, Mr. Ibrahim and others have made clear is in their book and taught in their schools and drummed into their heads.
It even pointed to things that were supposedly in harmony with Christianity. and the Bible.
I began getting some insight when I met some mozlums and talked to them. The more of them I met and saw up close and personal, the more I knew something wasn’t good with their belief. The nice ones were under threat of death from their family. Three of them told me so.
So, it was a shock to see those things and when I came here, several years ago now, I learned the reasons behind what I saw and heard from the mozlums I spoke to..
It doesn’t take a genius to realize that islam is evil to the core (the al queda)

Spot on, somehistory. Evil to the core for sure. I was stunned when I first read those foul quotes from the Koran and I’m sure that I did first read them here at Jihad Watch. It woke me up. No doubt there have been some religions in the past that have been evil and violent, such as the Aztec religion, the old Germanic pagan religion, the religion that worshipped Baal in the Old Testament, but to have a religion in modern times espousing such evil is truly staggering. Says it all about islam and its nature.

Islam per Qur’an, sunnah and hadith.
The West’s primary problems re: Islam are ignorance about those documents, and refusal–once informed–to believe that they actually do teach superiority over and hatred of all “unbelievers”.
Not sure if Nigeria’s other minority communities (Jewish, animist, atheist, etc.) are also beset by violence from Muslim “herdsmen” or to what degree if so.

I agree, PRCS. Once I had come across those quotes from the Koran, I used to make sure that I included them when I wrote to our politicians out here and also to a major talkback radio broadcaster when I wrote to them. I was sure that they knew nothing about this content of islam, just as I had not known about those calls in the Koran for Muslims to murder non-Muslims. I hope that I managed to wake a few people up. As you say, ignorance of islam’s foul nature is the biggest problem along with a refusal to face up to reality once informed.

There is a fallacy among the students of so-called “social sciences” that somehow attempted socio-economic explanations of behavior somehow also exculpates bad behavior. But inferring middle exculpation from even cogent explanation is a non sequitur. As if a public prosecutor’s valid demonstration of a murderer’s motive, opportunity and means was doing the work of the defense!
