Washington, D.C. TV station WTTG has once again lost the thread in its news coverage of the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR).
Two recent WTTG broadcasts were both entitled “CAIR demands apology from Montgomery County councilwoman over ‘offensive’ remarks.”
In response to Muslim parents saying at a school board meeting that they wanted to opt out of gay-oriented curricula in the public schools, Montgomery County Councilwoman Kristen Mink said this:
This issue [of LGBTQ+ instruction] has unfortunately put… some Muslim families on the same side of an issue as white supremacists and outright bigots.
In the evening broadcast,
- the 18 second intro is about CAIR,
- then 15 seconds for reporter Barlow to give context about the meeting,
- then the chyron changes to read “CAIR demands apology” for 23 seconds,
- then 24 seconds are given to the meeting, i.e. context,
- then the chyron changes to “CAIR demands apology” again for 16 more seconds,
- followed by 4 seconds about CAIR’s refusal of the apology,
- after which Katie Barlow immediately changes the subject for 13 seconds and starts talking about what someone else said at the meeting,
- and then a 24 second interview with CAIR’s Zainab Chaudry.
- Katie Barlow takes 27 seconds to conclude without ever mentioning CAIR, but the chyron continues to say “CAIR demands apology” the entire time.
1 minute and 28 seconds given to CAIR in a 2 minute 48 second news segment. WTTG spent almost 3 minutes on the story where CAIR was present for more than half of the broadcast. WTTG made CAIR and its demand the subject of the broadcast.
Yet CAIR has nothing to do with this incident. It is not clear if CAIR even attended the meeting. CAIR has nothing to do with this story.
For some context, let us look at how another station, Washington’s WJLA, reported this story.
“Some in MCPS Muslim Community Angered over Council Member’s Comment”
- WJLA never mentions CAIR’s demand in its report, which was less than two minutes long.
- CAIR’s National Deputy Executive Director did not make an appearance until 1 minute and 8 seconds into the report, when he made a 20 second statement without any reference to a “demand.”
- CAIR simply provided added context in the WJLA report.
Further context is found on FOX News’ national website, where a long article gives background information on Montgomery County Councilwoman Kristin Mink, including previous anti-white statements on social media. But there is no such background article about CAIR on this website. This is likely because an examination of CAIR’s background and origins would be devastating to the group’s reputation. That is why there is no background about CAIR or balanced news coverage of it at WTTG or at any other TV station anywhere in the country.
WTTG is representative of many local TV newscasters who will collaborate on a broadcast story, maybe even a series of stories, for the benefit of CAIR when it causes someone to be fired, defamed, threatened, or even killed, in one case.
CAIR’s “demand” is news because it is part of a pattern where CAIR uses its media access to bully someone. And this is happening with increasing regularity.

Kristin Mink is the 18th person or group this year whom CAIR has attacked on TV. While CAIR has twice attacked a Nazi club, other individuals and groups on this list are entirely innocent victims.
- Nazi Club 131
- “KKK” boots
- Art professor
- Oklahoma police
- Officer Patrick O’Donnell
- Jonathan Boone
- Shaw University
- Missouri prison
- Whole Foods
- Nazi Club 131
- Michael’s Restaurant
- Antioch Police Officers
- Mohamad Bekheet
- Senator Mark Steffen
- The Watchlist
- Charlotte Police
- Joan Ditomaso
- Kristin Mink
This list, and others like it from previous years, is a log that documents the fact that CAIR uses its media access to attack people, with varying degrees of success. It gives a necessary context to stories such as Kristen Mink’s.
The list includes a broad spectrum of people, from Nazis to police officers to senators, and the federal watch list with ordinary Americans in between, CAIR tests them all on TV.
This list is a reminder that CAIR abuses its media access and has no business attacking anyone for anything at any time. The Council on American-Islamic Relations has no authority, moral or otherwise, to judge anyone or have a person fired. And there is no other group on earth that gets on TV as often as CAIR does to force terminations, threaten livelihoods, defame reputations, exact apologies, charge someone with a hate crime, or in some other way clash with people. This is just a fact.
CAIR is playing a very dangerous game. By attacking people on TV three times a month now, CAIR is running the risk of causing a tragic incident.
- The Council on American-Islamic Relations was responsible for setting into motion a series of events that caused an underage girl to be the target of rape threats. CAIR never tried to calm things down.
- The Council on American-Islamic Relations was responsible for turning an entire town against one man for using the word “camels” in a Facebook comment.
- The Council on American-Islamic Relations used a rumor on social media as the pretext to get on TV and call for an elementary school teacher to be fired . . . while she sought police protection. CAIR is being sued in New Jersey over this.
According to Rutgers University’s Network Contagion Research Institute, CAIR had a role in inspiring the 2022 Colleyville terror incident. Local TV newscasters worked to whitewash CAIR’s involvement in what was an international news story live-streamed on social media, only to disappear like soap bubble.
CAIR’s TV attacks appear to serve no other purpose than to promote the organization, and to shift focus from the organization’s own checkered past. After all, getting people fired is not the mission of the organization as it states that mission itself.
This is just a sample from 2023:
- Melrose, Massachusetts big shot and friend of the mayor Maya Jamaleddine is trying to make a citizen’s arrest after she thinks she was the victim of a hate crime. CAIR defends her in court.
- It takes no courage to attack Nazis on TV. And that is not CAIR’s lane. Let us know when CAIR will try to bully Louis Farrakhan. That should be their department.
- Is there even one TV news broadcast that features CAIR assisting in counterterror efforts? No, instead, CAIR is on a campaign to destroy the terrorist screening database on behalf of a man who has shown support for al Qaeda.
- The family of a restauranteur is in tears after receiving death threats all day. CAIR sides with the mob, and has the restaurant employees take cultural sensitivity training.
- After an art professor shows a picture of Muhammad in class, CAIR has her fired. The entire international art community was outraged by this. It was so bad, even CAIR National disagreed with the action. But CAIR is not going to do anything about its man in Minnesota, Jaylani Hussein.
In the case of Kristen Mink, CAIR’s demand allows WTTG to avoid reporting a very important aspect of the story, which is that there was truth to what Mink was saying. Not that Muslims are white supremacists, but that Muslims may be shifting to the Right, and away from the madness of woke culture.
Muslims might even support Trump over Biden if it means keeping their kids from becoming catamites.
The regime is crumbling.
CAIR’s feelings, outrage, demands, statements, petitions, etc. are so irrelevant to this story that they do not even qualify as context.

Unlikely crusade: Are Muslim immigrants joining the anti-LGBTQ right? Yes and no
Conservatives exult in a new culture-war coalition — but how long can right-wing Christians and Muslims coexist?
“The state chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations was present at the meeting, she said, distributing flyers about religious freedom and parental rights. ”
And, that’s it. That’s the extent of CAIR’s involvement.
Pathetic.
“The nation’s largest Muslim civil rights organization” is basically just a bystander.

Dearborn School Board Chaos as Muslim Parents Clash With LGBTQ+ Speakers
“”Muslim advocates have also joined the debate. The Michigan chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights group, handed out flyers informing parents at Monday’s meeting of their religious and parental rights, Axios said. Newsweek has reached out to CAIR for comment.”
And, CAIR’s comment will not allow you to understand, be better informed, or more intelligently discuss any issue unless the topic is about CAIR’s feelings. They are a completely irrelevant media creation.

I agree that Conservative Christians, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, et al should not join forces w/ CAIR or other islamic groups opposed to this LGBTQIA+ grooming. That said, I’m really tickled by Kristen Mink dubbing the muslim parents in this story as “White supremacists”, and CAIR coming out against her. Implications:
‣ CAIR, as well as muslim parents, are White supremacists, or White supremacist-adjacent, as the Left would say these days
‣ Kristin Mink is an islamophobe, as listed by CAIR
Incidentally, in your main article, I don’t think Kristin Mink is as innocent as the other 16 entities: she’s right up there w/ the “Nazi Club 131”. While I don’t pretend to be familiar w/ what the Nazi club is up to, I’m willing to bet that they’re a lot more innocuous than Kristin Mink, who wants to force LGBTQIA+ ideology down the throats of minors, and against their parents’ wishes
As I’ve said before, this muslims vs LGBTQIA+ is one more of those entertaining Alien vs Predator epsiodes

HI,
Thanks for your reply.
If you look at this profile on the FOX News website, you will see the Mink is a dangerous Left-oid.

We’re so sorry, Uncle Ahmed
We’re so sorry if we caused you any pain
We’re so sorry, Uncle Ahmed
But the LGBTQ
Is giving CAIR a big migraine
[Instrumental Bridge]
We’re so sorry, but we haven’t blown up anything all day
We’re so sorry, Uncle Ahmed
But if Kristen Mink cries “Bigots”
We’ll let fly with everything
[Instrumental Bridge]
We’re so sorry, Uncle Ahmed
But CAIR hasn’t bullied anyone today
We’re so sorry, Uncle Ahmed
But the left is on the boil
And we’re now White Supremacists

The reporter was half right: Muslims are more like Nazis.
And Islam is a Borg sex cult.
