Garland: Questioning the Integrity of the Justice Department Is an Attack on — You Guessed It

With the sweetheart deal that Hunter Biden just got from federal prosecutors, Attorney General Merrick Garland has once again confirmed that he has taken the Justice Department, which was once the envy of the world for its indefatigable commitment to equal justice for all, and turned it into a squad of legal hit men for foes of the Biden regime and a legal laundromat for the regime’s members and cronies, most notably for the alleged president’s crackhead influence-peddling son. Garland himself, however, bristles if you believe your lying eyes on this matter. On Friday he complained that charges that his Justice Department was doling out frame jobs for dissidents and skates for friends of the regime was a threat to — that’s right! — our “democracy.”

As has been pointed out many times, when Leftists profess to be worried about the health of “our democracy” (I know, I know, it’s a republic), they’re really referring to threats to their own hegemony over the nation’s political and cultural spheres. Garland confirmed this Friday when a reporter noted that some Republicans are talking about the corruption of the Justice Department, and asked him: “Do the American people have cause to be concerned about the integrity of the components of this Justice Department, and what do you have to say about how they’re reacting?”

In his answer, Garland went as heavy on the self-righteous unctuousness as a kid drenching his fries in ketchup: “I certainly understand,” he huffed, “that some have chosen to attack the integrity of the Justice Department as components and its employees by claiming that we do not treat like cases alike. Uh, this constitutes an attack on an institution that is essential to American democracy and essential to the safety of the American people. Nothing could be further from the truth.” There it is: attack Merrick Garland and his revoltingly corrupt henchmen, and deplore the dumpster fire they have made out of a department that is supposed to administer impartial justice, and you’re attacking “American democracy.”

Note Garland’s appalling sleight of hand: he equates an attack on his Justice Department, which is a gang of Leftist liars who tried to frame an elected president of the United States for crimes he didn’t commit and classified angry parent at school board meetings as terrorists, with an attack on the very idea of a Justice Department. For he is of course right, as far as it goes: the Justice Department is indeed essential to American democracy, or rather, to the American republic. That’s why we’re in the fix we’re in: because the Justice Department is now a public relations office for those whom the regime favors and a no-holds-barred instrument of vengeance against those whom the regime hates. Those who are attacking it are not against the institution at all but against the mess that Garland has made of it.

  1. Such remarks remind me of Dr. Anthony Fauci saying that he represents science, and that attacks on him are attacks on science. Or better yet, Dolores Umbridge in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, in which she said that to question her was to question the ministry.

    Well, it is Garland himself who is far removed from the truth. Garland is the worst Attorney General in American history. Eric Holder and Loretta Lynch, AGs under Obama, were pretty bad but Garland has taken injustice in America to new levels.

    I would note too that all three mentioned above are Ivy League graduates. Yes, not all Ivy League grads are awful, arrogant or foolish people but a greater percentage of such graduates certainly are. In the court of common sense Ivy Leaguers should be considered guilty until proven innocent. All things considered, America would be better off without the eight Ivy League schools (Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Columbia, Brown, Dartmouth, Cornell and Penn).

      • Agreed. James. Ditto for other “elite” universities like Stanford and Duke. But, immensely sadly here, even state universities like Arizona State and Penn State have a lot of Leftist baggage imbedded in them as well, courtesy of faculty and administration personnel that have many degrees but no sense—nor patriotism.

        The Left since the 1960s (still my choice for the single most tragic decade in American history) has been very successful in imbedding itself into the entire educational establishment from pre-school to graduate school. The “results” are manifesting themselves in our era. You bet they are.

And why I consider that though there are many rogues presently in the ongoing destruction of America (Big Tech, the MSM, etc.), the chief culprit is the Democratic Party of the USA and why I consider anyone remaining a registered Democrat being part of the “problem” and not part of any patriotic, ethical and sane solution.

        • Yeah. And that includes the latest fling of a part of our side – Bobby Kennedy Jr. Fine, he’s against vaccine mandates, the deep state,… but where does he stand on things like LGBTQIA+ grooming, school choice and the like?

  3. The corrupt used “his” department as a weapon for his own relatives against the parents of school children being indoctrinated by the materials his relatives were selling to the schools. His daughter/son-in-law or son/daughter-in-law (can’t recall which way it is, as basically the same thing), have a business which is meant to *teach* kids the crt and other nonsense, and the parents objected. So he had others protest against the “violence” of the parents who voiced concerns over the material, during school board meetings…wanting them to be arrested for trying to protect their children.

    With this corrupt creature in charge, there is no real “equal justice” or “equal treatment under law.”
    And telling the Truth is not an “attack” on any one or anything unless that one, like garland, is corrupt and wants to hide all Truth from those who have every right to know.
    garland is a snake.

        • Not so sure about that, somehistory. Here’s why: Merrick Garland, despicable man that he is, arguably could have done less damage on the Supreme Court as one of nine than as one of one as Attorney General.

          Put another way, it is at least possible to reasonably contend that Garland as Attorney General for four years will do far more damage to America than Garland would have with a life tenure on the Supreme Court.

          Pick your poison, eh?

        • Wellington, we could have had more than one “good thing” if not for so many evil things …creatures…manipulating, deceiving, cheating, their way into power.

          But, nothing humans do can last forever. I believe garland’s days are numbered. And with his going, his evil will go, also.
          Imagine how the innocent, the Jews and others, felt in Germany when hitler and his evil crew were destroying so much, murdering so many. They probably felt as if it would never end.

          It’s not unreasonable to suppose that after next year, he’ll be out of a job. Or at least after 2029, worst case. Whereas in SCOTUS, he’ll be there as long as he lives to do as much damage as possible. That’s one of the few good things that Mitch did – keeping him out!

        • Infidel and somehistory: I still contend that Garland as AG will do far more damage (just look as what he has done so far) in four years than he could have in thirty years on the Supreme Court. Besides, Kitanji Brown Jackson is just another Garland, a substitute for this wretched man, and all the more reason why I contend what I have for clearly obvious reasons.

          As for Garland’s days being numbered, somehistory, even if they are he still has a year and an half to do great harm.

          As for Garland actually remaining until 2029, Infidel, should the dismal Biden get another term, then please realize that 8 years of Garland as AG will do infinitely more harm than this rube as one of nine on the SC.

        • You could be right, Wellington. All I know is that change can come quickly…when we least epacts it. And garland is no spring chicken.

  4. The US has sank to a level I never thought I’d see in my lifetime. The CCP has infiltrated the Biden administration, and corruption is rife it’s in every department.
    Ask yourself the question, “why won’t the FBI hand over Hunters laptop and why are they covering up for the Biden’s. Well the answer is simple. Christopher Wray the director of the FBI was once a partner in a law firm called King&Spalding. This law firm has strong ties to Russian oligarchs and the CCP. During his time at King&Spalding Christopher Wray received millions from hna group in China which is controlled by the CCP. So it’s not in the FBI’s interest to hand over the Biden’s, because Christopher Wray would be putting a noose round his own neck.
    I would also like to add that Miles Guo a strong opponent of Xi Jinping was once an associate of Christopher wray, Miles fled China to the US to avoid persecution. Xi asked Trump to extradite him but Trump refused, they didn’t have to ask Biden, because Biden did their dirty work for them. The FBI arrested him and he’s now languishing in an American prison.
    This is the USA today, if this administration continues in office I dread to think what it will be like in 10 years from now.

      As an American myself, I esteem America at its best. Well, America is certainly not at its best right now. Even if she ceased to exist, I would still dream of her. And I fear she may very well cease to exist if four more years of the thugs, incompetents, fools and liars now running America continue to remain in charge. All this is beyond sad and tragic; it is monumentally stupid as well and proving yet again that most of the time man is a collective idiot.
