European ‘Islamophobia’ Report ‘falsely claims that Muslim persecution in Europe is ubiquitous’

The latest edition of an annual “Islamophobia” report falsely claims that Muslim persecution in Europe is ubiquitous, and incorrectly portrays Europe as unsafe for Muslims to practice their faith. The report, which attempts to politicize “Islamophobia,” appears aimed at furthering longstanding efforts by Islamists to criminalize criticism of Islam in the West. The continued publication of these reports, which have been published every year since 2015 by a consortium of civil society NGOs under the influence of Türkiye, indicates that the Islamist campaign to intimidate Western elites and incite Muslim immigrant populations continues unabated even as support for Islamism is declining in the Muslim Middle East.

The 2022 edition of the European Islamophobia Report (EIR), a 584-page document, purports to present the “state and tendencies of Islamophobia” in 23 European countries by compiling mostly anecdotal cases of alleged Muslim discrimination into six categories: employment, education, politics, media, internet and justice.

Like the previous seven annual editions of the EIR, the 2022 edition does not provide a precise definition of “Islamophobia.” Instead, it promotes a highly subjective and expansive notion of “Islamophobia” — a notion that falsely views any perceived slight as proof positive of pervasive Muslim persecution and victimhood in Europe.

The EIR is replete with pseudo-scientific terminology such as “subliminal Islamophobia,” “internalized Islamophobia,” “contemporary Islamophobia,” “institutionalized Islamophobia,” “state Islamophobia,” and “undirect [sic] Islamophobia.” It warns of “systematic signaling of Islamophobia,” “systemic Islamophobic practices,” and “potentially Islamophobic situations.”

The report complains about “Islam-skeptical narratives,” “anti-Islam legitimization,” “anti-Muslim propaganda,” “anti-Muslim conspiracy theories,” “anti-Muslim stereotypes,” and “raging Islamophobic battles.” The report also condemns “Islamophobic narratives,” “Islamophobic rhetoric,” “Islamophobic hate speech,” “Islamophobic acts,” “Islamophobic tropes,” “Islamophobic articles,” “Islamophobic content,” and “Islamophobic sentiments.”

An example of alleged “Islamophobia” woven through the 2022 EIR is the subjective assertion that Ukrainian war refugees have been more warmly received by Europeans than have Muslim migrants from Africa, Asia and the Middle East. The EIR claims that the Russian invasion of Ukraine “has uncovered the stereotypical perspective of Europeans vis-à-vis different kinds of refugees.”

According to the EIR, “compared to the problematization of the immigration of Muslims, the debate about white, Christian Ukrainians being naturally welcomed in the rest of Europe revealed the deep-seated prejudice of many Europeans.” In fact, legitimate refugees from the Muslim world and Ukraine have, with few exceptions, been warmly received across Europe.

Another alleged example of “Islamophobia” involves European media coverage of the FIFA World Football Championship, which was held in Qatar in November-December 2022. The EIR asserts that media reports were “Islamophobic and orientalist” because “there was a stereotypical depiction of Muslim women and their treatment according to the customs of certain nations and societies, which were then attributed to Islam as a religion.”

The EIR also claims that it is “Islamophobic” for European history textbooks to examine the often-violent nature of the Ottoman Empire that occupied parts of Europe for 600 years between the 14th and the early 20th centuries….

    • A phobia is an unrealistic fear. Islamophobia is the unrealistic fear BY Muhammadans.

      A threat is realistic to fear. Muhammadans have the doctrine and practice of dehumanizing all who are not Muhammadan to the point of justifying robbery, rape, and murder.

There seems to be this weird idea around that Muslims can carry out all those terrorist attacks, all those rapes, often in gangs with their fellow Muslims, and yet the long suffering non-Muslims will go right on liking and embracing the Muslims. i believe that Muslims deserve all the dislike and hatred that they receive. It is the disgusting way Muslims far too often behave that causes the justified dislike of islam, the “islamophobia”. If Muslim behaved better, say, the way Buddhists and Hindus behaved in western countries, then Muslims would not be disliked as much. It is up to Muslims to become far more civilised in their behaviours. I doubt whether that will ever happen because of the evil attitudes islam teaches its members.

    • Tim, your comment was not present when I began mine, but I agree with you.
      If they don’t like the criticism, if they want to be wanted, if they want to be liked, they should try a different way of living and behaving toward the rest of us…and toward the little kids and young women among them.

      Putting the responsibility for how we feel about them on us, will never work out well for them as we see the evil and it is abhorrent. The only way our feelings and thoughts about them will change, is for them to change. And they are not going to, not is large numbers. they will have to leave islam and take up a different way of living.

For a long time I have been thinking how weird it is for Muslims to think that they can constantly treat non-Muslims like crap and expect that the non-Muslims are just going to put up with such behaviour and go on liking Muslims. How dumb would you have to be to do that. Yes, it is up to Muslims to change and become civilised human beings or they will, rightly, be disliked. I don’t see this ever happening. As you say, they probably need to ditch islam and join the more civilised members of the human race.

        • thank you, Tim. I recall one of their “clerics” years ago saying that “there is no logic in islam.” this whining about the ‘phobia’ proves it.

          If they quit with their evil book, stopped listening to their clerics, and read, “How to Win Friends and Influence People,” they might see things our way for a change.

          Or they could just observe non mozlums who seem to have friends and get along with others. We won’t be holding our breath for this “change.”

        • Yes, it is up to Muslims to quit all their evil behaviours – the terrorist attacks, etc. There is huge amount of arrogance that Muslims display where they seem to think that they can behave in such evil ways and the non-Muslims will just put up with. I can’t see islam ever changing. The hatred and violence towards non-Muslims is so entrenched in basic islam that it will never change.

        • You are supposed to not notice the historic and modern actions and rhetoric of muslims, lest you too be guilty of “Islamophobia.” “Islamophobia” is the act of noticing differences in the ways that muslims think and act compared to other groups. Noticing the ideological and religious underpinnings of these words, thoughts and actions are definitely Islamophobic.

          If on the other hand you lump all white Christians into a group of racist, xenophobic imperialists, this is just accepting facts and very progressive. You can notice that muslims or blacks are less prosperous, but only if you believe that it is stereotypical white supremacy that causes this lack of prosperity.

          A good rule of thumb is to use critical theory in reviewing any situation. Critical theory states that any “disparate impact” on non-whites is ALWAYS caused by racism and NEVER caused by the mannerisms, culture or actions of the “oppressed” group. Anyone who is not a white heterosexual male is oppressed by white heterosexual males. But don’t you dare notice that this is the same racism that they claim to be fighting you racist bigoted islamophobe!

    • They will never change their evil ways because they are not allowed to change one single evil word in the Qur’an, Sunah and Hadith! Islam is the single most dangerous ideology in the world and it mus be fought at every level.

      “between us and you enmity and hatred forever”, Koran 60:4, part of Islamic law.
      Muslims are instructed to be arrogant and superior towards the filthy kuffar, “the worst of created beings” (K.98:6), because muslims are “the best of peoples raised up for mankind”, (Koran 3:110). “Let them find harshness in you”(9:123).

These people have grabbed every idea others have had about the regular person having some thoughts or feelings of dislike…”systemic” racism has been used for a long time in an effort to blame White people for any failure of poc to make headway.
    Now, it’s “systemic” fake islam phobia’…there is no “o” in islam…that is claimed, including “thoughts” and “feelings” that are ‘phobic.’

    My thoughts and my feelings are: mozlums will use any word, phrase, tool, idea, thought, etc. to further their takeover of the entire world of mankind and make everyone subject to their evil “thoughts, intentions, feelings, and actions.”

    If they did not have the intent to take over, when they supposedly meet the expressions of the fake ‘phobia,’ they would leave and go where they might be welcomed. But, they stay, bring in their entire families, and campaign for mozlums to continue “migrating” and bringing their “culture” so they can outnumber everyone who is not mozlum in every nation.

    This propaganda is for the purpose of making people feel guilty if they haven’t put out the welcome mat for every mozlum, for telling the Truth about islam, for not liking the idea of a barracks being built next door, and every other thing one might think or feel when islam is the subject of conversation.

    If not liking islam, if not wanting the awful yelling to go on in my neck of the woods, if not wanting to be a victim of a rabid mozlum, if thinking that little girls should not be raped by dirty old males, if telling another person that islam is evil makes me a “phobic,” then phobic I shall be and not ashamed to say…I’m not in *fear* of islam, real or imagined. I just am totally opposed to it as it is demonic in nature and teaching. I will shout with joy on the day it is gone forever.

    But it’s interesting that the concept of ‘persecution’, real or imagined, only seems to have validity in what might pas for a ‘muslim mind’ where it casts themselves as victims and the atrocities that they daily commit against others either in the name of their ‘religion’ or as an automatic result of being the intolerably savage monsters that they are as a consequence of being ‘muslims’, is treated as just a natural part of events; or maybe it’s just another manifestation of them being the lying scumbags that we know they are.

Why doesn’t anyone think of writing a counter report on how Muslims in western society are behaving towards their host countries with all the attacks of young gangs especially in France on Christian Worship places or with all the threats of beheading for insulting their religion or with all the vehicular jihad or with all the killed spouses for becoming to westernized I could go on and on
    Actually I know why nobody dares writing about it it’s because because they would be called biggot intolerant islamophobes with all kinds of anonymous threats to their children’s and their own lives .

  11. Do a little analysis of where Sweden is today. They are outnumbered by non-Swedes and most of the immigrants are Muslim. The Muslim attitude in London, Paris, Stockholm, etc. etc. is one of superiority.
    I have dear friends in Sweden and their people are being told that Islamic culture is superior to theirs and they should adopt the Islamic way. Muslims are parasites. They suck the life out of vibrant cultures and suppress them. They will never change. Am I Islamaphobic? No a “phobia” is an unrealistic fear. Our concerns are founded in their own teaching and history. They are instructed in the Koran to think, live, and behave like they do and they expect the cultures around them to adjust to their superior ways. They should be resisted at every level with open exposure because most Westerners have no idea what they believe. Thank you Mr. Spenser.

    By 2050 because of their deliberate breeding habits, they will have become the majority of our UK population and it will then all be over for us.

  13. If they were really being persecuted, really like they claim, they would see it as a strength in their enemies. And perhaps if they saw this enough, they would decide to try something different; maybe not be so aggressive on the issue of invasion.

    • If someone is charged under this law, they can argue that it is unconstitutional, because it is.
      Furthermore,
      A citizen cannot decide if a law is broken, and this essentially gives the citizen the power to decide that. It is on par with the blasphemy law in places like pakistan, where any person can charge another with that “crime.”

      Evidence is needed in a court of law; what will they accept as “evidence” that the feelings of another have been “hurt,” or that the person feels threatened?
      MI is overrun with mozlums; I suspect they are the driving force behind this.
      However, if a mozlum can use it, so can a non-mozlum….when he hears what the cleric at the local barracks has to say about him and his religion…”apes and pigs” and “kill all Christians and Jews<' would certainly fill the bill about "hate speech" and "threatening speech."

        Exactly my concern. This site has shown us that even spurious charges of blasphemy in places like Pakistan can lead to either imprisonment or death via the courts or a raving mob.

        Your point about Christians using this proposed law against others neglects to take into account the new policies wherein only “protected” groups (like homos, transvestites, blacks, Hispanics and muslims) are entitled to protection under these “laws.”

        If jihadwatch has taught us anything, it’s that even though there may be statutes in place to protect free speech, they are increasingly ignored in many cases. Ask Alex Jones if the first amendment will protect you from unconstitutional prosecution or civil penalties.

      • Btw, “kill all Christians and jews” is already illegal due to our laws prohibiting incitement to violence, but when is it ever prosecuted?

        Mr. Spencer says the quran encourages the killing of non-Muslims. Illegal muslim imams say jews should be slaughtered. Which one isn’t allowed in the UK or Germany?

        • It is against the law, but mozlums get a pass….even to the point of saying they didn’t mean it, and “taking it out of context” kind of nonsense.
          If we were to go into a church and say “kill” all the ykw, we’d be in jail before we could finish the sentence. But, there should be more equality under law, not less and less is where we are headed..
