The Taliban has been seeking out weddings to find any of them playing music or celebrating in any manner that contradicts Islam. Music, except nasheeds, a cappella exhortations to jihad, are all haram in Islam.
To give an idea of how seriously these rules are taken by those who strictly adhere to the Sharia in Islam, the manager of a festivities hall in the Kabul, asked: “If there is no music at a wedding, then what is the difference between a wedding ceremony and a funeral ceremony?”
According to the classic manual of Islamic law, Reliance of the Traveller, musical instruments are condemned (r40.1); singing or listening to singing is offensive (with the exception of songs that encourage piety) (r40.3); and on the day of resurrection, Allah will pour molten lead into the ears of whoever sits listening to a songstress. (r40.1 (2)).

The Taliban’s religious police will be scouring wedding halls in Kabul, Afghanistan to enforce a ban on playing music that they say contradicts Islamic rulings on such celebrations, a news report says.
In an online statement, the Ministry for the Propagation of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice said on Sunday that hall owners were instructed that no more music is allowed at wedding parties, the German press agency dpa reported.
Last year, the Taliban advised business owners to avoid music at public gatherings, but the ruling was not heavily enforced.
“If there is no music at a wedding, then what is the difference between a wedding ceremony and a funeral ceremony?” the manager of a festivities hall in the Afghan capital asked dpa on Monday. His name was withheld for security reasons.
Following the Taliban’s return to power in August 2021, many artists and musicians fled Afghanistan and sought asylum in Western countries.
The Taliban considers music to be against the teachings of Islam. According to the group’s strict interpretation, only the human voice should produce music – and only in praise of God….

For this reason Sufi Muslims have been driven out of most of the Islamic world. Most can be found in India today. There are still some in Algeria and Morocco. The Music is wonderful to listen too. In India every faith is welcome in a Sufi Mosque during worship services.

Actually, no! Most of the Turkic countries are Sufi, as is Afghanistan and Pakistan. It’s a major offshoot of the Hanafi school, which is why one finds more of it in Central & West Asia than in Maliki, Shafi’i or Hanbali jurisdictions
Also, the “welcome” that you describe of every faith (namely Hindus, Sikhs & Jains) in Sufi mosques is a part of their grooming process, where they get to attempt to brainwash those guests into embracing islam. Sorta like Zakir Naik rallies
I know that everyone’s musical tastes are different, but for me, sufi music just sucks!

These are godly people, doing his work. God hates music. How do we know? Because Mohammad told us and whatever Mohammad says is the truth that cannot be questioned or changed.
Also God wants you to be constantly watched, harassed, threatened, for doing, thinking, saying anything that goes against Islam.
Imagine a god that has nothing better to do in his life than to micromanage humans, making sure they don’t do what he doesn’t like. In fact this god isn’t even doing any of the work, his minions who think they know his mind, are doing his dirty work.
The god of busy-bodies, the god of being a pain your backside, the god of religious lunatics that want to dominate and control your life. So much for free will and being punished after…the process of existing is punishment itself….then you’re made to suffer even more later.
Thank god that these evil man-made gods don’t exist or there is no point to living. The trouble is that other humans whose minds were warped from childhood, now have these stupid ideas stuck in their heads and think this is how they must live and force it on others.
Oh and if you want to change the status quo, you cannot talk these people out of their beliefs…you’re going to have to go to war with them and ban their evil belief systems.
Afghanistan used to be peaceful and more civilized when it was mostly Hindu/Buddhists…but what good is your peaceful religion if you can’t save it from being conquered by a horrible one?
At least with Secularism we have no religious blinders on that prevent us from defending ourselves from evil death cults. We don’t foolishly “love our enemies” we seek their elimination. Too bad the Afghanis allow themselves to be ruled by this garbage.

Thanks Tim…Allah definitely is one of the worst gods humans invented, a total inversion of all that is good and nice about existence on this planet.
Allah is just a reflection of his psychotic inventor, Mohammad. All gods are reflections of the biases, prejudices, fears of the humans that created them.
At least the Christian god is more ‘hands off’ but tbh we’re better off without any gods…which are in fact, simply ideas that human put down on paper in pre-scientific world when we knew nothing about the universe.
I’m glad there are no gods or life would really suck worse than it is.

Fitna, I agree with you about islam and about how evil and, maybe, psychotic, Muhammad, who i don’t think ever existed but was made up later on, was. Christianity has wonderful ideals, love your neighbour, etc, and Christ seems like the complete opposite of allah, the vicious version of god. I am a Christian believer myself almost all the time, sometimes I have my doubts about any gods at all, but mostly I am hoping that Christianity turns out to be the truth and that there is an afterlife and somehow i do manage, despite all my faults, to sneak into Heaven. Probably take quite a miracle for that to happen. I suppose like many people, I have had a hard life with severe mental illness at times and so if this life is all there is then it has been a shitty life much of the time, so, like many people, I’m hoping there might be something better. Like many people, it helps me get through this life. Anyway, we’ll all find out one day.
I guess none of us knows until we die and see whether there is anything beyond this life. Christianity certainly has high ideals to aim for, while islam is just down in the gutter. You and I and the other people here at Jihad Watch see islam’s nature clearly and truthfully.

Most people are simply unaware and uneducated on Islam, they only ever find out the hard way, when Muslims attack, rape, kill their family members or take power and impose Sharia law on them and usually it’s too late by then to do anything about it.

Yes, Fitna, it is funny how so many people can ignore all the evil Muslim terrorist attacks, rape gangs, etc, and still not begin to see, and maybe begin to do a bit of research on islam, as I did 20 or so years ago, how foul this religious ideology is. Some people’s ability to bury their heads in the sand and ignore reality amazes me. I keep thinking that almost everybody should have woken up to islam’s nature by now. There is so much evidence there by now.
