It was the habit of ladies to support each other, so when Allah’s Messenger came, Aisha said, ‘I have not seen any woman suffering as much as the believing women. Look! It happens in Catanzaro: at the height of a quarrel the girl – 16 years old – was savagely beaten, she was also hit with numerous kicks, which caused her injuries for which the young woman was forced to go to hospital.
The protagonist of the brutal beating was a twenty-year-old Moroccan, who after the complaint of his partner was arrested by the carabinieri on charges of mistreatment in the family and an attempt to procure an abortion.
Against the young man, already known to the police for crimes against property, a precautionary custody order was carried out under house arrest issued by the investigating judge of the Calabrian city at the request of the local Public Prosecutor’s Office.
The two had been in a stable relationship for a few months but were not cohabiting: the minor was judged curable in 21 days by the doctors of the Pugliese-Ciaccio hospital in Catanzaro. The young woman, after being heard by the carabinieri and the formalization of the complaint against the cohabitant, was taken to a protected structure.
