New in PJ Media:
As PJM’s Rick Moran reported Friday, “the scene at San Francisco State University [SFSU] was surreal. A champion female athlete speaking about maintaining the integrity of women’s sports was shouted down, assaulted, and chased from a speaking engagement sponsored by Turning Point USA.” But that was just the beginning of the surrealism. After the incident brought nationwide attention to how much our universities have become nasty, threatening, violent, intolerant places for anyone who dissents from the Left’s line, the university sent an email to students, insisting that the protest was “peaceful.” However, the champion female athlete who was targeted, Riley Gaines, says otherwise.
Fox News reported Sunday that the SFSU email, which was signed by Jamillah Moore, the university’s vice president for Student Affairs & Enrollment Management, warned the institution’s Left-fascist student thugs that “we may also find ourselves exposed to divergent views and even views we find personally abhorrent.” Oh, horror of horrors! And here these poor lambs thought that a university was simply an echo chamber for their far-Left fantasies and delusions! Opposing viewpoints? Why, it’s intolerable.
Moore plowed on: “These encounters have sometimes led to discord, anger, confrontation and fear.” But she was proud of her little fascists for bearing up so well to the challenge: “We must meet this moment and unite with a shared value of learning. Thank you to our students who participated peacefully in Thursday evening’s event.” That’s not exactly how everyone involved recalls what happened; nor does it correspond to the available video.
Moore, however, was full of admiration for these goons, telling them that “it took tremendous bravery to stand in a challenging space. I am proud of the moments where we listened and asked insightful questions. I am also proud of the moments when our students demonstrated the value of free speech and the right to protest peacefully.” Moore’s repetition of “peacefully” betrayed a certain insecurity, as if she was aware that the students didn’t protest peacefully at all, but was hoping her insistence would paper over that inconvenient fact. She concluded: “These issues do not go away, and these values are very much at our core.”
Contradicting this bland twaddle, however, was Riley Gaines’ agent, Eli Bremer, who said that “instead of a thoughtful discussion tonight at SFSU, Riley was violently accosted, shouted at, physically assaulted, and barricaded in a room by protestors. It is stunning that in America in 2023, it is acceptable for biological male students to violently assault a woman for standing up for women’s rights.” Indeed. Gaines, after all, was speaking up for the gender binary that every human society and culture has taken for granted since the dawn of time, and for biological women to be able to compete against only other biological women in sporting events. The university and its fascist students, on the other hand, were threatening and menacing her over her refusal to adhere to their fantasies.
There is more. Read the rest here.

Her little fascists? I think not.

Wikipedia… Not a reliable source for Truth. Fascism is an agreement between a government and private business to squelch dissent from the public at large.
Much like what is happening today between the biden crew, the media,…in all of its forms… schools, and companies.
The video shows she Mrs. Gaines was attacked. It’s just that the school is proud of it happening, evidently.

I don`t know about the Biden crew. I am from the UK. However I have fought The religious right, the leftie scum backing Jeremy Corbin and muslim extremists. I beleive I know the definition of fascism. Sleepy joe seems to me to be a reasonable kind of guy though, compared with the previous incumbent of the white house?
somehistory says
Well it seems your idea of “reasonable kind of guy” is wrong in the case of biden. You should be thankful he isn’t pretending to be your president.
gravenimage says
Stephen, do you believe that this violent crushing of freedom of speech is fine?
stephen says
No. Why would I? Are you suggesting that Biden is another Putin Or Xi? I disagree with the crap about fifth generation Irish Americans and their assumed right to interfere in. Northern Ireland. They`re Americans, not Irishmen. Would you rather have Trump back in the white house trying to roll back all the healthcare reforms Mr Obama made for the poorest American people? I have to agree with Hilary Clinton. “Lock him up!”
I do believe this conversation wandering off topic however. The people we should be standing united against here are those who would kill us and rape our wives and children. Those who want to take the world back to the stone age. I have no great angst against transgender people and the lefties supporting mass Muslim imigration are , IMO, like the turkeys who voted for Xmas. It doesn`t strike me however, that Joe Biden is taking anyone`s freedom away.

I said nothing about Biden here–I was talking about the speaker in the story above being assaulted. Describing the violent crushing of freedom of speech as fascist is pretty accurate.

Pure insanity. No one’s running the asylum because the whole world has turned into an asylum and “anything goes” is now the (mis)guiding principle. Political correctness is everyone’s #1 concern.
Sanity is Public Enemy #1: it must be chased down like a rabid dog and forever erradicated and eliminated from the surface of the earth.
Pretty amazing how demented the world has turned out.

The thing that surprised me was Riley Gaines going to SF, of all places, to spread that message. That city is a hellhole: just last week, the CEO of Cash App Bob Lee was murdered while he was just visiting the city! Right now, the only way to get me there is if the Feds stormed my home & flew me there against my will: you couldn’t pay me enough to go there!

Infidel,
Spent a fair amount of time at Naval Air Station Alameda in the 1980s. San Francisco appeared to be in pretty good shape back then and I actually enjoyed the city.
I’ll keep the pleasant memories, no plans on going back.

And this didn’t even happen in what most would consider a dangerous neighborhood.

Infidel, more on this story:The killer has been arrested and he is Iranian Nima Momeni. He was apparently enraged that Bob Lee was dating his sister. It sounds as though this may have been an “Honor Killing”.

Like the “mostly peacefull riots” ? ?
Westman says
By the standards of SFSU, Richard Nixon would never have resigned, “is” would be defined as whatever Bill Clinton proposed, and Hillary would be POTUS.
Historically, it has commonly been universities that foment the revolutions that violently overthrow governments and lead to oppression of the citizens. Worse yet, it is the more unproductive disciplines, often appropriating the word, “science”, who give rootless immature people the religious belief that they know what is best for the un(mentally)washed-by-university society.
There was a time when we may have thought that universities were the source of society’s refinement. Now they are becoming an expensive source of society’s debasement and instability.
A university which insists a man is a woman is no place to get a STEM education.

I note that somehistory has no reply tag at the end of his post this time. Why on earth would that be?
somehistory says
Posters here don’t choose whether to have a reply tag at the end of a comment. However you must believe we do and that I chose not to…for some kind of fear of your response.
Allow me to say, I have no fear of what you might decide to write. You may find it easy to just reply to your own comment *reply* button.
stephen says
I think I have proved my point already. And, no to your quip,, We have a king after seventy glorious years of the reign of her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the second. Gods rest her soul. No trumps in this country either, although Boris tried his best. How much time does sleepy Joe have left anyway?
gravenimage says
This is not a decision on the part of the poster. Replies indent and have direct reply buttons, but only to a point on each thread, since you cannot indent indefinitely; after that to reply you just use the last reply button and indicate which poster you are aiming your comment at. How can you have missed that?
tim gallagher says
I’ve seen video footage of this protest against Riley Gaines a couple of times on Sky News here in Australia and it was anything but peaceful. i’m amazed that the university would try to lie and describe it as being peaceful. The supporters of the trans mob seem to be a violent bunch of people. I wonder if they know that the movement that they are supporting is weak and therefore they will not let opponents speak. In New Zealand recently there were some incredibly violent scenes when an English woman, who speaks up for the rights of women and against the trans mob, was mobbed by the trans supporters there. I can’t recall the English woman’s name, but it was something like Kelly Ann Keen(?).
somehistory says
Tim, the school people are taking the side of the mob, because the mob is violent and they don’t want to be the target as Riley Gaines …and several others…have been.
tim gallagher says
That’s probably true, somehistory, although lying about the protest and calling it peaceful seems ridiculous when the video of the violence is there for all to see. I looked up the name of hte English woman who recently toured Australia and New Zealand and her name is Kellie-Jay Keen. There was a lot of violence here in Australia and in New Zealand when she tried to speak. She started a movement called Standing for Women. The level of violence at the rally in New Zealand really stunned me. It was a disgusting lynch mob like atmosphere.
somehistory says
Yes, Tim, lying about it only adds to the balderdash claim of what they were doing. But, that’s part of their MO; just as others have lied about the video Tucker Carlson showed, saying it was made up or some such.
When people lie, they lie more to keep from admitting to the first lie. And the mob violence is meant to be a silencer to any who tell the Truth.
to terrorize, as mozlums do. Birds of a feather.
James Lincoln says
So how does allowing biological men to compete in women’s sports HELP real women?
I’ve never heard a factual / evidence-based answer.
somehistory says
James, it’s because they don’t have an answer that shows any of this “helps” real women succeed.
recently, I saw a comparison between women’s basketball and that of men The commentator who was showing the videos of the two games, was saying maybe that was the *reason* there was not more interest in women’s sports.
I don’t watch the game, even the NBA ones, so the comparison may have been totally unfair to women’s B ball. However, the women were really inept…missing the basket, losing the ball, etc. Perhaps the team being presented as example, may have been one of the least successful; as I say, I don’t know.
But, if males are allowed to play on the women’s teams, pretending to be women, perhaps they may think they’ll sell more tickets and be more successful. Even then, it’s still wrong and unfair to women and girls.
James Lincoln says
Agree.
Thank you for your reply, somehistory.
gravenimage says
I don’t think there is anything inept about women’s basketball at the Olympic or WNBA level, but women of course are not going to generally be as tall or as strong as men.

David says
I’m familiar with SFSU. It has been a cesspool for many years, and really should lose its accreditation. alexreid is only partially correct. The mob committed criminal acts but the criminal acts were probably involuntary confinement rather than kidnapping. Not much difference as a practical matter. They acted like animals, committed a pack of felonies and will never be prosecuted.
I went to college in 1969-1973 at UC Santa Cruz and 1983 -86 at Boalt Hall (UC Berkeley School of Law). At one time these places, like SFSU, were outliers and there were normal schools. Now all the schools are as bad as UCSC, UCB and SFSU.

SFSU Claims Pro-Insanity Protest Against Women’s Sports Advocate Was Peaceful, But She Says ‘I Was Assaulted’
………………………………………………..
So now we are at the point where a man can assault a woman just non-violently speaking and be considered “peaceful”. Utter insanity.
