They may not all have been Christians, but to the Islamic jihadis, their war is a religious war, and so their opponents are “Crusaders” or just “Christians,” whether they actually are or not.

DAKAR, Senegal — The Islamic State group has issued a statement claiming responsibility for killing more than 35 people and wounding dozens in eastern Congo.
In the statement, posted Friday by Aamaq, the militants’ news agency, it said it killed “Christians” with guns and knives and destroyed their property in Mukondi village in North Kivu province. It also published a photo of the houses on fire.
The announcement comes after local authorities confirmed that at least 45 people were killed last week in several attacks on different villages by rebels from the Allied Democratic Forces, a militia with links to IS.
Conflict has been simmering in eastern Congo for decades as more than 120 armed groups fight for power, influence and resources, and some to protect their communities. The ADF has been largely active in North Kivu province but has recently extended its operations into neighboring Ituri province and to areas near the regional capital, Goma.
Efforts to stem the violence against ADF have yielded little. A nearly year-long joint operation by Uganda and Congo’s armies did not achieve the expected results of defeating or substantially weakening the group, said a report in December by a panel of U.N. experts. The ADF rebels are accused by the U.N. and rights groups of maiming, raping and abducting civilians, including children. Earlier this month the United States offered a reward of up to $5 million for information that could lead to the capture of the group’s leader, Seka Musa Baluku….

The slaughter continues and will as long as islam exists on the earth. If defeated by man, and its ‘god’ is still around (which he would be), another would replace it; perhaps by another name…
islam began long ago, when the Nethinim were using thuggery, violence, threats and death; seen again with moloch, ba’al, dagon, ashtoreth, etc….the fake gods of the Babylonians, and “cruel” Assyrians, who attempted to destroy anyone not bowing to their ‘gods.’
What is amazing about this….that it was actually reported on so more people can see what mozlums are doing. Of course, using the “islamic state” to say who is behind the murders won’t make it clear to many that islam is the reason for the killing season.

It just never ends with islam does it. Just the typical murderously violent behaviour that Muslims have been carrying out for the entire tragic 1400 year history of islam. How we still have so many know nothing fools who keep telling us that islam is basically peaceful is beyond my understanding. The hatred for non-Muslims and the calls to murder them comes straight out of the Koran, that poisonous book.

True, Tim, unfortunately Islam is still around for near 14 centuries. Some other religions in the history like the old Aztec religion, which sacrificed humans, had at least disappeared from the earth. I think everyone and especially Muslims should be educated to see that Qur’an is of human origin, that it was written by humans. It’s text contains mistakes and also hatred for the unbelievers. When Muslims read the Quran,I believe they would find it’s text unexpected and leave that religion. I know some ex-Muslims like that.

Just another day in the murder of Christians by Islam. Why is it that these Christians are not being armed to protect themselves? Apparently the government of the DR Congo has no interest in protecting these people.
