In reaction to its Western allies cautioning their “citizens in Turkey about possible terror attacks” over the Qur’an burning “insult” in Sweden, Turkey has decided to issue a warning of its own about “possible Islamophobic, xenophobic and racist attacks” in the United States and Europe.”
How petty and silly of Turkey. On the other hand, what religion’s adherents attack people and sometimes kill them for merely offending their religion? And what religion commands believers to “strike fear into the hearts of disbelievers…so strike their necks and fingertips” (Qur’an 8:12)? Westerners have reason to warn their citizens in Turkey about possible terror attacks. Turkey, on the other hand, has no reason to issue a reciprocal warning.

Turkey alerted its citizens on Saturday about “possible Islamophobic, xenophobic and racist attacks” in the United States and Europe after its Western allies cautioned their citizens in Turkey about possible terror attacks, a news report has claimed. The Turkish foreign ministry has recommended its citizens in the United States and European countries “act calmly in the face of possible xenophobic and racist harassment and attacks”.
In another suggestion, the ministry asked the citizens to “stay away from areas where demonstrations may intensify.”
Recent increases in “anti-Islam and racist acts” reflect the dangerous dimensions of religious intolerance and hatred in Europe, the ministry said.
Several embassies in Ankara, including those of the United States, Germany, France and Italy, released security alerts for their citizens in Turkey on Friday that flagged “possible retaliatory attacks by terrorists against places of worship.”
This followed recent Koran-burning incidents in Europe.
On January 28, Sweden’s foreign ministry warned Swedes in Turkey to avoid crowds and demonstrations.
The foreign ministry said on its advice page for Swedes abroad: “Swedes in Turkey are asked to stay updated on the development of events and to avoid large gatherings and demonstrations.
“Continued demonstrations can be expected outside the embassy in Ankara and the consulate general in Istanbul in the coming days.”
Sweden and Finland applied last year to join NATO following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine but all 30 member states must approve their bids.
Finland and Sweden signed a three-way agreement with Turkey in 2022 aimed at overcoming Ankara’s objections to their membership of NATO.
Sweden says it has fulfilled its part of the memorandum but Turkey is demanding more, including extradition of 130 people it deems to be terrorists……

Phobia is an irrational fear of something. When someone is out to kill you it is not irrational to want to avoid them. Xenophobia is fear and hatred of strangers or foreigners or of anything that is strange or foreign. Again when someone is out to kill you it is not a phobia to not want them around. Islam is not a race, it is an ideology. Perhaps if Islamists didn’t go around raping, stabbing, killing and beheading people there would not be an issue. But there will always be an issue because Islam is a political system where the adherents are encouraged to lie, cheat, and kill the infidel (unbelievers).

The current western “leaders” and the woke idiots just ignore history and common sense ,who is safer a Moslem women dress head to toe in covering rags walking the streets of London ,or Paris ,or Munich today or a western women walking the streets of any Moslem majority city in normal western dress? Who is safer a Moslem worshipping in a mosque in any major western European city ,or a Christian worshipping in a Church in any Moslem majority city in the Middle East?? The chances of a Moslem getting killed by a other Moslem from a “wrong”(different) sect is alot higher in any Moslem majority country then a Christian ,Jew or Hindu killing a Moslem in any western European city. No Christian in their right mind would call for the killing of someone burning a cheap copy of the bible in some public protest against Christianity .

Warning of religious intolerance coming from an Islamic country is funny. Turkey is intolerant of any religion except islam, and has murdered thousands of non-islamic followers. The burning of a Quran is nothing even close to the intolerance of Islam towards others.
Besides with the high price of fuel burning a book or two might help keep you warm.
