This is so crazy from so many angles, it takes one’s breath away. The San Francisco African American Reparations Advisory Committee has just published its draft report setting out its plan for reparations for the city’s black community, and it’s far beyond the wildest dreams of the most virulent victimhood-monger. The committee wants every black resident of San Francisco to be awarded no less than $5 million in taxpayer money, no strings attached. Wow! Black people in San Francisco must have really suffered under slavery, eh? Well, no, California never had slavery. But why should a minor detail of that kind stop this juggernaut of social justice?
A Monday report in the Washington Examiner notes that the committee justifies the payment by invoking (you guessed it) the latest trope of the race-victimhood hustle, “systemic racism.” The committee concedes that ” neither San Francisco, nor California, formally adopted the institution of chattel slavery,” but insists that, nonetheless, “the tenets of segregation, white supremacy and systematic repression and exclusion of Black people were codified through legal and extralegal actions, social codes, and judicial enforcement.”
That may well be true, but the Civil Rights Act of 1964 made it all definitively illegal. That was 59 years ago, which means that the black San Franciscans who suffered any large-scale “white supremacy and systematic repression and exclusion” must be getting on in years. The reparations committee, however, makes clear in its stipulations about who gets to become a millionaire that it believes this systematic repression has continued much more recently. To get the five million bucks, you have to be “an individual who has identified as ‘Black/African American’ on public documents for at least 10 years” and be “18 years or older.” Eighteen years old? So the systemic racism that beleaguered San Francisco taxpayers will soon be shelling out to redress is apparently quite recent.
And indeed, the committee casts quite a broad net. To get the dough, black San Franciscans have to meet two criteria from a list of eight. These include being born in San Francisco between 1940 and 1996 or having moved there during that span, and having lived there for at least thirteen years, and being a “descendant of someone enslaved through US chattel slavery before 1865.” That’s probably a very small group, however, and the committee wants to hand out more big bucks prizes than that. So blacks in the city can also get five million dollars if they are “personally, or the direct descendant of someone, incarcerated by the failed War on Drugs,” or are a “member of an historically marginalized group that experienced lending discrimination in San Francisco between 1937 and 1968 or, subsequently, experienced lending discrimination in formerly redlined San Francisco communities between 1968 and 2008.”

So the people San Francisco are going give 5 million to each person who might have someone in their bloodline that was a slave in another state about 150 years ago? So people who never own slaves in America who most likely have no one in their bloodline own slaves(only a small number of people own slaves in America) will have their tax dollars go to people who where never slaves? Bottom line people who never own slaves have to pay people who never where slaves, in fact no one living today was involved in the slave trade in America 150 years ago. What about the many native American tribes that own slaves from other tribes capture in war? What about free blacks who own other people as slaves ?It seems with the homeless population growth out of control in San Francisco ,the open air drug use of hard drugs on the streets, ,sky rocking crime ,their are places this money could be spent. Yes give 5 million to people who happen to be born black because they are black ,Never ever address or talk about hate crime involving black on Asian San Francisco residents ,Asians who pay taxes and families in the past could not have own slaves in America.

You can promise the world, the moon and the stars, and never have to deliver it, because this is only an exercise in political promise bribery. For Democrat politicians in today’s America this is what they view as political capital. Sheila Jackson and all of her friends are looking at this with hands rubbing together and a twinkle in their eye, because now they can promise it to the dumbest and angriest of their voters not only in SF, but Houston, and Baltimore, and everywhere else where it can come in handy. And that it will never really happen means nothing.

After promising this and not delivering it the dumbest angriest voters can have mostly peaceful rioting burning down taxpaying large chain stores and mom and pop shops in the businesses areas of blue cities.

So where does it end? What about other people of color who were denied opportunity or were victims of discrimination?
What about descendants of the Japanese in California who were sent to internment camps during WW2?

People are getting stupider and stupider by the second. This morning in the dark before dawn, I nearly hit a person who was wearing all dark blue, green or black and walking in the middle of the street…in the middle of the street, just strolling along. They almost became a stat for pedestrians

The state gov of CO now has a law that says stores must charge patrons for the plastic sacks used to carry groceries and other goods after purchase….those bags are frequently holey and the *handles* torn, but they will now cost a dime each. (customers are carrying the groceries to their cars in the carts, and placing them one at a time in their cars) the state must be getting taxes off the bags which are sold to the customers…guess they have to allow food stamp users free bags?
illegals have been pouring across the border in ever increasing numbers…more each month than the previous…and are being bussed or flown around the country to do whatever at the expense of the taxpaying public…with welfare, free services, rent free homes, etc.
Now sf idiots want the taxpayers to pay for something that shouldn’t even be considered. Who lives there now and owns slaves? pelosi? does she live there? If so, use her bundles of cash made illegally to pay the people made to pay for slavery.

Methinks it would best to just jump straight ahead and hand each Negro in SF a couple of Pounds of Ice, Heroin, Crack, Meth and that way they will not be so inconvenienced by having to make the score themselves while carrying all that cash to the street corner dealer…

Question: If a person born in SF in 1950 with a white Mother and a Black Father which part of them gets the dough, or perhaps they just get $2.5 Million.
Though such a person who has one Negro parent is always, for some weird ass reason, deemed to be black even if they look as white as any Caucasian.

Maybe this is just a plan to recover the population that has already left the state of California. If I’am black I might want to move to California to get that $5 million. Then again if I’am a citizen of California and my taxes are going up to pay for this reparation I might be moving out of California. Can’t see a win here, but maybe the Demo’s can buy a few black votes for their Governor who wants to be President.
